The Benoit Devereux Trophy is awarded to the player deemed to be the top goalie in the VHLM.

Our three nominees for the Benoit Devereux award this season all made a major impact for their respective team. The top three seeded teams in the regular season find their top goaltenders fighting for this award.

Justin Lion of the San Diego Marlins found themself surrounded by a cup winning roster this season. With lots of stars on the team, Lion was more than capable of holding their own weight and helped the Marlins reach the top of the standings. With a 43-8-1 record, 0.909 SV%, 2.09 GAA (league leader), and 5 Shutouts, Justin Lion is our first nominee.

Matthew McCagg of the Ottawa Lynx was a brick wall for their team this season. McCagg was the backbone of the Ottawa Lynx’s 2nd place regular season seeding and helped the Lynx make a solid Founder’s Cup run. With a 50-17-5 record (league leader in wins), 0.911 SV% (league leader), 2.41 GAA, and 3 shutouts, Matthew McCagg is our second nominee.

Evan Bilher of the Philadelphia Reapers returned to Philly after a Founder’s Cup victory in S85. Bilher brought the veteran experience to the Reapers and had a VHLM career high season in his stats. With a 43-21-5 record, 0.900 SV%, 2.57 GAA, and 6 shutouts (league leader), Evan Bilher is our third and final nominee.

The Ryan Sullivan Trophy is awarded to the player deemed to be the top defenseman in the VHLM.

In today’s age of our sim engine, STHS, defensemen play a major role in producing offense. The game is changing these young defensemen into two-way players and our four nominees all played this role perfectly.

Juan Ceson of the Las Vegas Aces is a 6 season veteran for the team, experiencing all the highs and lows throughout their career. Ceson has been a defensive monster through it all and recently put up some great S86 numbers for an underdeveloped Las Vegas team. With 21 Goals, 42 Assists, 63 Points, a -72 rating, 141 PIMs (league leader), 285 Hits (league leader), and 214 Shots Blocked (league leader), Juan Ceson is our first nominee.

Sigma Freud of the Las Vegas Aces and defensive partner to Juan Ceson, was another strong player for the underdeveloped team. Las Vegas’ rebuild this season was not easy, but Freud still out performed their opponent each and every game. With 30 Goals, 66 Assists, 96 Points, a -30 rating, 74 PIMs, 180 Hits, and 140 Shots Blocked, Sigma Freud is our second nominee.

Elias Lampi of the Philadelphia Reapers had themself a S79 Alex Letang campaign. Lampi led the Reapers in goals, assists, and points this season, having a point on 42% of Philadelphia’s goals. Lampi also led the league in powerplay goals, scoring 17 times. With 32 Goals, 78 Assists, 110 Points (league leader for defensemen), a +17 rating, 48 PIMs, 144 hits, and 117 Shots Blocked, Elias Lampi is our third nominee.

Edward Traverse of the Halifax 21st had a career high season, being Halifax’s number one defenseman on the blueline. Halifax’s defense was dependent on Traverse all season, and Traverse produced well above standards, being one of the only players to help Halifax fight for a playoff spot. With 26 Goals, 51 Assists, 77 Points, a +9 rating, 68 PIMs, 141 Hits, and 157 Shots Blocked, Edward Traverse is our fourth and final nominee.

The Mat Benz Trophy is awarded to the player deemed to be the best two-way forward in the VHLM.

To be a two way forward, you need to not only be focused on offensive production, but defensive as well. Two way forwards are extremely impactful on both sides of the ice and these four nominees played this role to the top level this season.

Mac Atlas of the Ottawa Lynx was at the top of their game this season. Atlas led the Ottawa Lynx in goals, assists, points, +/-, and hits. Not only being the top offensive forward for Ottawa, but also the best defensive forward as well. With 49 Goals, 79 Assists, 128 Points, a +61 rating (league leader), 60 PIMs, 201 Hits, and 37 Shots Blocked, Mac Atlas is our first nominee.

Jimi Jaks of the Halifax 21st was a one person wrecking crew for Halifax’s forward core. Jaks led their team in goals, assists, points, +/-, hits and shots blocked. Like Atlas, Jaks played a crucial role in their respective team’s play. With 60 Goals, 69 Assists, 129 Points, a +34, 54 PIMs, 140 Hits, and 68 Shots blocked, Jimi Jaks is our second nominee.

Steve Lattimer of the Mississauga Hounds had a great core of forwards to work with this season, being one of four Hounds to surpass 90 points. Where Lattimer excelled compared to their teammates though was his ability to help the defense by blocking shots. Out of all these nominees, Lattimer put their body on the line way more times. With 41 Goals, 53 Assists, 94 Points, a -37 rating, 43 PIMs, 122 Hits, and 107 Shots Blocked, Steve Lattimer is our third nominee.

Alexander Stroheim of the Mexico City Kings was a force this season in the VHLM. Not only leading the league in goals, assists, and points, but also producing quality defensive statistics too. Stroheim was the main reason for Mexico’s success day in and out. With 66 Goals, 84 Assists, 150 Points, a +26 rating, 50 PIMs, 142 Hits, and 51 Shots Blocked, Alexander Stroheim is our fourth and final nominee.

The Mitch Higgins Trophy is awarded to the player deemed the VHLM’s most valuable player during the regular season.

The MVP of the VHLM is a player that noticeably has made a great impact for their team throughout the season. These nominees are the best of the best and their teams relied on them to perform each and every game.

Brayden Albrecht of the Ottawa Lynx was an offensive wizard this season. Not only could they outperform any opponent in the offensive zone, but could also hold their own behind their own blue line too. Albrecht had eyes for the back of the net all season and created a majority of Ottawa’s offensive production. With 62 Goals, 75 Assists, 137 Points, a +64 rating, 116 Hits, and 35 Shots Blocked, Brayden Albrecht is our first nominee.

Jimi Jaks of the Halifax 21st was the main reason for any Halifax success this season. Jaks made their teammates better and did a lot of scoring on their own as well. A Halifax team without Jaks this season would have performed much more poorly. With 60 Goals, 69 Assists, 129 Points, a +34, 54 PIMs, 140 Hits, and 68 Shots blocked, Jimi Jaks is our second nominee.

Alexander Stroheim of the Mexico City Kings needs no introduction here. Taking home three trophies today already, Stroheim was in a world of their own this season. Stroheim led all players in goals, assists, and points, and also had 50 more points than the second highest in Mexico. With 66 Goals, 84 Assists, 150 Points, a +26 rating, 50 PIMs, 142 Hits, and 51 Shots Blocked, Alexander Stroheim is our third and final nominee.

The Skylar Rift Trophy is awarded to the player deemed to be the VHLM’s most valuable player in the playoffs.

The Playoff MVP award is seen in many eyes as the most valuable individual award to win. Not only have you helped your team all season make it to the playoffs, but you have also stepped up and been the main reason for your team’s playoff success.

Justin Lion of the San Diego Marlins was the backbone of the Marlin’s Cup victory. Lion performed better in these playoffs than they did in all regular season games against weaker teams. Lion was dominant in every series they played and was a crucial piece to the S86 San Diego puzzle. With a 11-2-1 record, 0.915 SV%, 1.92 GAA, and 2 Shutouts, Justin Lion is our first nominee.

KaRSAIkYZZDZiCnnuRREqIFKju5SERM2YQsDZGfrylVuPuDCwe7yoUlbL4112AADyiI1aUH69t4qApgnK1Yul6qJEnUxFqUWReXkP9NkPwB8jgcpz2tdkIGT35qTQHnq-8SQjV6MKtXtCax7trr1KywZ0NtQ-PnV05U3AEJP4D0TdS_eQam0s98wmXLvbA

David Jokinen of the San Diego Marlins was also a main role in the team’s victory in these playoffs. Jokinen produced offense from defense, being the highest scoring defenseman, most assists, and fourth in scoring amongst all players. Jokinen stepped up when the cup was on the line, and they hit it out of the park. With 16 Games Played, 5 Goals, 18 Assists, 23 Points, a +8 rating, 14 PIMs, 22 Hits, and 20 Shots Blocked, David Jokinen is our second nominee.

Oreo McFleury of the San Diego Marlins is our third Marlin nominee for the clean sweep. McFleury was the main production of offense for the Marlins these playoffs, helping Jokinen and Lion focus on their aspects of the game with less stress. McFleury also powered the Marlins’ power play with 5 power play goals to their name to lead all skaters as well. With 16 Games Played, 11 Goals, 14 Assists, 25 Points, a +12 rating, 18 PIMs, and 26 Hits, Oreo McFleury is our third and final nominee.

The Jack Reilly Trophy is awarded to the general manager deemed to be the best in the VHLM.

Before announcing this award, I would like to first thank all of the VHLM GMs for all the hard work they’ve done this season. We have had a lot of changes to the league in the past two seasons, and you all have been on the ball running your teams and guiding the newer members of our league. You are all amazing and deserve the credit, thank you.

@Lemorse7 @jacobcarson877 @Bulduray_1 @nurx @ShawnGlade @badcolethetitan @a_Ferk @Grape @Blazzer

This season’s winner of the Jack Reilly Trophy took over their team three seasons ago in S84. They were given a broken down team with not many assets to work with. This GM has since then built their team for success and given their team’s name more attention throughout the league. This general manager is one of the most active in the VHLM and works very well with the new members of the league. A VHLM GM should be patient, hard working, and all around a good teacher.

This GM checks all the boxes off and I would now like to congratulate...

So happy and grateful to have not only been nominated for two individual awards, but to have won both the Benoit Devereux and the Skylar Rift trophies, I really couldn't have done it without @jacobcarson877 who put together a wonderful team to let us all shine as bright as the founder's cup we won together. This is an incredible occasion and I'm excited to see what more I can accomplish with Justin Lion.

This is true I am happy to be working with the group of GMs I am working with right now.
