Calgary, Alberta - The Calgary Wranglers proudly announce Raimo Tuominen as the team captain for the 96th season. Adi Dassler, Leif Reingaard, and Phil Sakic join him in the leadership group as alternate captains.

 

Raimo Tuominen, a Center and veteran of five seasons with the team, will wear the “C” on his jersey for the third consecutive season. A respected voice in the locker room and a cornerstone of our roster, Raimo has consistently led by example, inspiring teammates and setting a high standard for the organization.

 

Adi Dassler, Leif Reingaard, and Phil Sakic will each serve as alternate captains, wearing the “A” on their jerseys. All three players have proven themselves as integral parts of the team, bringing valuable experience, grit, and leadership to the locker room.

 

Adi Dassler: Known for his work ethic and skill, Dassler has been a key contributor to the team since joining last season. While he still hasn’t shown the full potential of his abilities, he has shown his teammates how much of a leader he can be, earning their trust and respect.

 

Leif Reingaard: Another addition made to the team last season, Reingaard is not only a standout defenseman but a fierce competitor from an uncommon place. With four seasons of experience in the league, he’s expected to guide the team with his Greenlander ways.

 

Phil Sakic: A genuine surprise, but not really. It takes a lot for a rookie to be honored like this by his teammates, but Sakic is him and brings a leadership style that can’t be matched. His development is key as the team looks to achieve success this season.
