At the risk of waking up in a dank cot in the Gulag, I just wanted to applaud everyone who has taken the plunge by throwing their hat in the deep end for one of these jobs! It's great to see so much interest, which speaks highly of the general health and state of the league! Go get it boys!! 👍

I just want to W̶i̶n̶ F̶o̶u̶n̶d̶e̶r̶'s̶ C̶u̶p̶s̶ help develop the next generation of VHLers...

I'm joking btw, dev over competition IMO. As a helper with recruitment this is a high priority for me.

There's no waking up, you're cooked

Nor am I sure what the rules are?

I'm pretty sure I understand your question because I've seen similar confusion from PBE users--no, GMing a team does not mean your player will play for that team (nor does it have any bearing on what happens to your player, unless you as the GM specifically choose to trade for yourself). So feel free to apply without worry regarding your player.

I have a mac so I don't know if that will be a problem, but I'll apply for the Hounds and if I can't, i'm down to agm, because I know the Hounds don't have one.

As someone who GMed for close to 15 seasons on a Mac, it's an issue but I found ways to make it work. I made it barely work for free 6 years ago (although I've tried helping other people through the same process and it didn't work), and I also made it work better later on using some software I had to pay for. If you have any interest in giving it a shot, send me a message and I'll see what I can do to help you out.

The long story short is that you'll need to be able to make lines using the STHS client to be a GM. I hope you can if you want to, but it's true that it's a challenge with your setup.

I say we do a seance and summon the ghost of Steve Jobs and yell at him for this. Even though it probably isn't his fault, I think misdirected rage is warranted for this

After much soul-searching and considerable reflection, I have come to a decision—one not made lightly, but with the full weight of purpose and tradition in mind. In times such as these, when the stakes are high and the path ahead uncertain, we must lean on the symbols that have carried us through the ages.

It is with great ceremony, and a touch of theatrical flair, that I step forward to present an item of both character and consequence: my top hat.

Yes, the very same top hat that has accompanied me through countless endeavors—weathered storms, heard secrets, witnessed triumphs. This is no ordinary hat. It is a vessel of fate, a bearer of destiny. And now, in this most pivotal of moments, I offer it forth to serve a new and noble purpose.

Let it be known that my top hat shall be the sacred container into which all names will be cast. From its felt-lined depths, the future shall be drawn. The job offering—so highly sought, so eagerly pursued—shall be decided not by cold machinery or sterile lists, but by chance, tradition, and the silent authority of a hat that has seen things.

May the bravest name be drawn.

It's his fault for dying of ligma.
