Also a year of Mat Leave shouldn't count towards their career count

Plus with their maturity coming earlier than males, their regression should start kicking in 3 years into their careers.

And the reason why the VHL attracts very little female members is......

Back to the debate. I honestly think if deprciation was heavy enough this in no way should hurt the league. Some members would enjoy a bit more flexibility with this so why not give them the option? Even if it's a player store thing as suggested fine. But there doesn't seem to be any major draw back, and it would just be something else some members enjoy doing giving them more reason to stick around.

Remember too only career records would change, not individual season. Besides noone was topping Scotty anyway so having a new set of records for the up to 10 season era may be a good thing.

imo, 10 seasons.

For contract structure:

Keep rookie year/dollar amount the same (3 years), and add 1 year to Prime and Veteran amounts while keeping the dollars the same with some minor modifications to the Prime and Veteran (would also maybe help teams with slightly decreased contract amounts for players in their prime and veteran stages of their careers).

Depreciation could be the final 3 seasons but maybe have a slight increase in % during their final 2 seasons?
