Claimed: hedgehog337 is trying to predict a.k.a. his MOCK DRAFT [1/2]

No intro here. You already know what's up.

:tor:1. TORONTO LEGION:tor:

Torstein Ironside ( @DollarAndADream )

Dollar is trying to confuse us with his ''uncertainty'', but I'm not buying into that. I think he's not a risky type of man and he will choose the safe pick, a.k.a his own goalie. Also, Torstein is a goalie. We could discuss about the another possibilty in Marcus King, but once again, Torstein is more safe player.

:dav:2. DAVOS DYNAMO:dav:

Aleksei Fedorov ( @Banackock )

Lots of members are predicting Fook Yu being the #2 player, but @Smarch can go with a defenseman as well. Like Fedorov - we know Bana likes to retire his players early because of Seattle needs, but Aleksei isn't a GM player. Also, Smarch's player, Rusty Trombone is a forward, so he could wait one more season to draft another offensive guy. I couldn't say that defenceman's are the rare breed, but we aren't used to see the influx of them either, that's why the Davos' GM probably is going to snatch Fedorov.

:hel:3. HELSINKI TITANS:hel:

Fook Yu ( @tfong )

This pick is under a big question. The main option is Tfong's player - even if SWC III will re-sign with Helsinki, he has only one season left and @Higgins will need a player who could back up Cornerstone. Yu is the right guy - Fong can say about his activity all he wants, but at the end of the day, the Hong Kong native will become the solid defensive center, no doubt about it.

Alternative option: Marcus King (or Markus?), for an entertainment purposes ( @Da Trifecta vs @Kendrick - that's so wow) and for own benefit.

:rig:4. RIGA REIGN:rig:

Shawn Gretzky ( @TheLastOlympian07 )

I actually know a lot about this pick, but who's going to be drafted here? I'm going with Shawn Greztky - TLO's Muller will turn into a dust after this season and this means Gretzky will get much TPE's. You can't go wrong with this pick: maybe he won't break his own TPE record with Gretzky, but he doesn't even needs to do that to make a real offensive threat.

:que:5QUEBEC CITY MEUTE:que:

Hudson Abbott ( @Bushito )

I fail to see that @Frank is giving up his 5th pick because he can get a very important player here. We all know Quebec is in dire need of a defenseman, so Abbott is a no-brainer. He is very active, he is ready for the VHL league and he shows no sign of slowing down. The FA class is weak and there are not a lot of defenseman's on the trade block - Hudson practically is a saviour here.

Alternative option: @Pablo, for bringing him back to a team where spent more than 10 seasons while being a GM.

:sto:6. STOCKHOLM VIKINGS:sto:

Rudolph Schmeckeldorf ( @Corco )

@Advantage doesn't needs a goalie and there are no first class defenseman left. So Rudolph is going to be a solid choice - he'll likely be up in next season and that's one more good depth option alongside with Jenkins. Perhaps I said ''RIP STO'' too soon? BTW, could Miller draft someone else? Yes, he can, like:

Alternative option: Verner Reinholdt ( @Devise ), to make a full Padjocast forward trio in Stockholm.

:hel:7. HELSINKI TITANS:hel:

Takashi Fujimoto ( @HFD )

Knowing that Higgins actually does give a damn about the VHLM, he could go with a first-gen, Takashi Fujimoto. I don't even recall who was the last active first-gen; Adwyer in S48 perhaps? So HFD is a really special member and I see the league Commish might take him for even better LR presence.

Alternative option: Marc(k)us King. No comments here.

:que:8. QUEBEC CITY MEUTE:que:

Pablo ( @Pablo )

Kesler hasn't a lots of TPE so far and that gives Frank a chance to return his old buddy to QUE without even spending his higher pick. That could be a total win for this team - a future superstar defenceman and Quebec's legend in one draft. I think there is no reason for GM to sell his picks when he has this opportunity.

:cal:9. CALGARY WRANGLERS:cal:

Verner Reinholdt ( @Devise )

Looks like Stockholm won't find the keys against NYA, like in S47 so I'm giving Calgary the 9th pick. But there are some questions left, the biggest of them - what @eaglesfan036 has on his mind? He just became the old-new Calgary's GM yesterday and we can't predict his moves yet. But I heard he is looking for give up his pick for a player, but for now let's imagine nobody took his pick. So right now I see he will play safe and take Verner as this is a solid pick itself; I think the NY GM a.k.a. Mr. Three Paragraphs won't retire his player for nothing and that's always a good thing for a rebuilding team.

Alternative option: King, if Jacob somehow get dealt. Then this pick becomes obvious.

:nya:10. NEW YORK AMERICANS:nya:

Marcus King ( @Kendrick )

or Markus? really, WTF is going on here?

There are no first round caliber players left, so this is an obvious pick. That's a good pick/player in future for Devise and this can't be bad if he wants to build a dynasty. Probably King won't fall so far, but the goalie influx can hit hard to his future career.

You think I'm done here? You wish...

:dav:11. DAVOS DYNAMO:dav:

Slava Aleksei ( @Tyler )

Smarch got a defenseman? Now it's time to find a solid forward depth and right now he will have two options. I guess Slava is more appealing - looks like Tyler is ready to make another good forward and be a true steal of this draft. Davos will be happy to see this type player, that's for sure.

:tor:12. TORONTO LEGION:tor:

Jon Snow ( @ChiefNoka4 )

Toronto might become a serious defensive threat if Dollar will chose Snow and he'll become a steal. Rowe was an another option, but DAAD's GM player is a center. Let's hope Jon won't fade away, because that's another first-gen.

:rig:13. RIGA REIGN:rig:

Rask Rowe ( @Rowe89 )

I thought we lost Rowe, but apparently he refuses to give up, he even made a graphic PT and that's why I will gladly pick him and try to make him a steal. By the way, he's a third or fourth first-gen - not bad tbh.

Alternative option: Vernon von Axelberry. Under some circumstanses I will pick Robbie's second player and will make him ''mad''.

:hel:14. HELSINKI TITANS:hel:

Riley Harper ( @Daniel )

I know I could pass von Axelberry to other team, but for now I'm going with Harper. Maybe Higgins will find a way how to get Dankoa back to VHL. Also, he's an ex-GM of the Titans; this could make some positive things, like his comeback.

:col:15. COLOGNE EXPRESS:col:

Vernon von Axelberry ( @BobertZ )

If somehow Vernon gets s_nubbed (is this word still under censorship?), @gregreg is going to take him with a big smile on his face. Cologne needs a goalie and this pick is a no-brainer. If this happens, Greg is going to be the happiest man in the world for at least one night.

:rig:16. RIGA REIGN:rig:

Luca Volkov ( @Kyle )

He might be an underappreciated player, but I know he still has a chance to be a the late second round steal, like @KitRas in last season. He just needs to consistently earn his TPE (even welfare is working) and we have a good second/third pair defenceman.

The other players are inactive, so this is going to be quick:

17th: Calgary takes Harambe

18th: Cologne takes Jean Claude Girrard

19th: Davos takes Evgeni Tukarov

20th: New York takes JourneyMan

and the rest are bunch of 30 TPE and retired-already players.

That's it and I'm out.

9 TPE goes to Krīgars

Drafting a Robbie made goalie didn't really work out last time

Oh well, his newest low is 16th pick then. ^_^

I've heard a lot of talk about me falling out and I can't blame anyone for that. Life took an unexpected turn and it's something I must deal with. I will try my best to stay active and continue to grow with Rask Rowe.

Love the draft hype! These mock drafts are definitely entertaining! I hope to make one myself, maybe not so in depth due to the fact I've only been around 4 weeks but I'm going to try to make it interesting! Great Job! @hedgehog337

i think i have more tpe before the draft with gretz than i did with muller so there is that in terms of breaking mullers 892 tpe :P

gretz is at something like 210 tpe muller was drafted with 173

says the guy who raped by higgins then gives the team to eagles

you missed a very key in "got" and I was joking (low key not though)

Review:

Like Phil said, this mock is lit. Lit as fuck, I'd even say.

Good choices. This draft could be deeper than some people think.
