I think I've played pretty well, just lost some close games.

I think about as expected, especially given we are missing a defender.

Scoring more goals than your opponent duh!  

 

4. Should the VHL make some big changes? Or keep it how it currently is?

I think a small boost in members would be good, but how we would go about that I don't know.

I don't know, I haven't been paying much attention to off-season stuff lately.  If it drove some engagement that would be good but I don't know if it would or not.

 

6. What do you consider a success to your player this season?

If i can keep my save percentage around what it is now, I would consider that a personal success.

1. With the completion of the S98 drafts, were there any surprises or picks that really stood out to you? I definitely am just happy to say I am apart of the team, I was not apart of the draft but for me I’d definitely say that we got a good player in Komi Kamal. Without having g a first pick we still secured a solid player. 

2. How do you feel about your player coming into this season and what their performance may look like? Im hoping to be a serviceable second centre as eventually when our first Centre gets taken up to the VHL I’ll be established enough to reliably be the 1st Centre.  

3.  What about the team; how do you think the team will do for this season? I do worry that if we aren’t having an offensive game we will get taken through the loop a bit defensively not because of our goaltender but we just lack Defensive players unlike other teams in the league. In saying that, if we are firing on all cylinders we will out score hopefully a few teams.

4. If you were the GM, what is one move that you would make before the season starts? If you had to make a move id get a D-man however if you want my opinion I wouldn’t change anything about the group as I feel we have a solid base and could surprise some teams. 

5. What team do you think would be our main competition going into this season? Hamilton, hands down when you look at their roster they have a solid team and I think those games will be an uphill challenge we can hopefully conquer occasionally. 

6. Would you rather save your family from a burning building or get Renegade Raider in Fortnite? Save my family from a burning building, the Fortnite hype isn’t there for me at this point. Now talk to me about some rare Overwatch skins and that’s a different story.

1. Well me of course cant believe i fell that far, but i'll take it! 
2. Well Komi is a rookie it probably won't be the prettiest, but maybe he can be the shining light
3. Well based off power ranking were supposed to stink, so honestly ill go with that, but truthfully i think komi may surprise. though im sure tanking would be nice for prospects next year
4. maybe sign some inactives if needed for defenseman otherwise i think were a bit stuck haha
5. probably halifax due to being in our conference as i think miami is considered worse than us lol

1. We're 14 games into the season at this point; how do you feel your player's performance has been so far?
2. What about team performance? Ottawa has been bouncing around the lower half of the league this season. Is that around where you expected Ottawa to be?
3. With the recent trade with Houston, Ottawa's indicated that this will be a rebuilding season. Do you feel like that's the right move, or do you have any thoughts about that?

Well as of late we've been taking some losses which aligns with our timeline, but just figured we could at least make it into the playoffs.

1. So I am Pretty new to the league, so I dont know what you could realistically ask for, but being 8th/10 teams currently doesn't make much sense to be adding when it appears the team would require so much to be a contender vs some of the top tier teams in the league. I

2. Hello, new addition. I'm pretty happy I'll be getting a decent amount of playing time over the next few weeks so I can kind of see what what works and the evolution of my character. I was kind of shocked to see that I went right into the team the way I did, coming from PBE where you have to be somewhat drafted first to a Minors team it was a system shock to see my player in the box scores!

3. I don't know about them joining the Lynx per se, I am sure they have their own preferences. I absolutely would love to get onto a team with @FlyingWVand @pboomg two people I know from the PBE, FlyingWV is my teams lead updater and I was scouting him heavily to join my PBE team and Pboomg was in my draft class and was one of the steals of that draft as he joined the league late and his lower TPE in a class that was massive drove him down the draft board quite unfairly. I think if we redrafted the class he would have been 1st or early second, and he slid to the 4th round or something heinous.

4. I think we are going to slowly but surely trudge our way into the playoffs; two shutouts tonight certainly didn't help! I'm getting the TPE now though Bossman!

5. My player is going to be hitting the weight room and continue to work on his lower body while improving his skating form, the game is going to get faster and faster as I progress through the leagues so I want to be able to not be a liability as much as possible!

6. I'll take a crisp 5, I like a more flashy skin. I do love a good audio synced animation though!

I'm going to guess yes - usually in the VHLM you know if you're a top contender at the beginning of the season or not. If you're not, it's usually better to conserve your assets for another season.

2. How do you feel about the new additions to the team? And, if you are one of those new additions, how do you feel about joining this team?

I'm happy with the change in the VHLM to allow you to pick what team you want to join on waivers. My player agency has a long and storied history with Ottawa and all of my players should play here for at least one season.

3. What's one player in the league that you would want to join the Lynx?

Cop out answer is @eaglesfan036 but he's already joined. If I could bring someone out of retirement it would be @Squinty.

4. With 11 games left in the season, we are 4 points away from clinching a playoff spot. Do you think we get it done soon or is it going to come down to the wire?

It's going to come down to the wire but I think we'll be able to get it done. We just added a lot of players to the team.

Preparing for the off-season? Still have to get through the regular season and the playoffs!

Honestly we played them well in game 1 then folded game 2. Played them close game 3 then flopped game 4? maybe a trend but honestly better than i thought haha. But I definitely feel we should

I thought he was truly a rookie, but played to the best of his ability with the roster he had.

definitely going back to california to see his family. Then getting back to do offseason things with his agent Dusty

I'd love to be back in seattle, but I have looked don't think much space there. So overall a team with a starting spot lol.

1. Houston is a Juggernaut, we didn't stand much of a chance, their second line was better than our first line. If I find myself back in Ottawa post draft I hope we can attempt to get some vengeance for this season, as they swept us the entire way this year.

2. I hope they lose, in 7 in over time with a weird bounce of the glass.

 

3. I was pretty satisfied that I was reasonably contributing so quickly. Hopefully next season I can get positive on the +/-.

4. Nope, just going to keep skating hard, and working on the conditioning.

5. I'm not really particular about a team, I'd like to get on a team with a few guys from the PBE just so we have some more shared interest and can bond from that.

1.) I think overall we performed as expected. Some of the games were close, some weren't, and we ended up get ng swept. The pick bounces another way maybe we end up winning one of those games but we probably still lose the series.

 

2.) It's always better to say you were beaten by the cup champs and not the cup runner ups, right?

 

3.) I could have performed better but I'm still getting my feet wet in the league so it's not like anyone would say I didn't meet expectations....which was a low bar to begin with.

 

4.) Nothing particularly special from a training perspective. I have to get better in every area of my game. For travel, I'll probably take a week down the shore but then it's back to the grind.

 

5.) I don't have a strong preference for any VHL team. On one hand, there are teams my player agency has a (long ago) history with, but there are also teams they've never or barely played on before.

 

6.) Lukewarm bottle of water. No fortnite.
