Claimed: Where do the S53 players stand?

Recommended Posts

The Season 53 draft was one that would change the VHL landscape simply because of the sheer star power of the class. The Players are entering their final VHL season and now let us see how they are doing career stat wise.

Franchise Cornerstone @boubabi

Franchise Cornerstone was taken with the 1st overall pick by the Helsinki Titans and has spent his whole career playing in Finland. During his time, Cornerstone has scored 330 goals and assisted on 416 goals for 746 points. This puts Cornerstone 4th all time in points since S49ish according to the portal. In all time terms, Franchise is around 38th all time in scoring just ahead of HoF players Ethan Osbourne and Bruno Wolf. Cornerstone needs 60 more points to tie Unassisted for most points since S49. If Cornerstone would get 100 points like he has throughout his career this would put him at 846 and he would be 14th all time in scoring ahead of Tom Slaughter. It has been a wonderful career for Cornerstone, to bad it will end the way it has.

Lukas Muller @solas

Lukas Muller has been in the shadow of Cornerstone his whole but he has been a great player. Lately, he has been trailing off in terms of practicing but still has had a marvelous career. Muller has scored 211 goals and assisted on 447 goals for 658 points. This places him 9th in scoring since S49. If he were to get just 50 points to reach 700 points he would jump to 6th ahead of the likes of Tom Lincoln, Essian Ravenwing and Tyson Kohler. 70 points would see Muller jump to 5th ahead of Theo Axelsson. In terms, of all time scoring, Muller sits around 72nd all time behind HoF defender Jeff Hamilton. If he were to get those 70 points he would jump to 47th all time in scoring tied with Cam Fowler.

John Locke @Will

John Locke has been interesting in his career so far. He started out great in the VHLM than lost focus before coming back and forming a formidable duo with Fred Krigars in Riga. Locke has scored 304 goals and assisted on 290 goals for 594 points. He is just 6 points away from 600 in his career. Locke's 304 goals are 8th since S49 and if he scores just 50 more he will jump all the way up to 4th behind Pietro Maximoff, Diana Maxwell and Unassisted. Locke's 300 goals make him just one of 60 players in VHL history to reach that mark and if he ends with 354 if he were to score just 50 more, he would sit 24th all time in VHL Goal Scoring just ahead of Unassisted. Locke is one of the most dynamic goal scorers in VHL's recent history.

These three players will be missed as they have been the faces of the VHL for their time here. They were worthy of the top three selections for sure. We may never see such a top three in the VHL draft ever again.

John Locke also holds the all-time record for most game winners is a regular season with 21: http://vhlportal.com/hof/records

Jorma Ruutu is second with 18 in S47

How many in total? I think Kohler was up there or held the record briefly but don't think thats the case anymore

@Will is there anyway to blend Marcus King and Markus King's stats together? I realize there off because I had Jardy correct his spelling half way through his career

Didn't notice that, should be combined now
