It wasn't too long ago that the Seattle Bears once again got to re-taste that amazing, beautiful honey and even went back for seconds before they ended up getting stung by the Titans (pretty much the perfect example of a wasp at the time). Since then, honey has been the furthest thing from their grasps and each time they try to climb the tree, the cliff or wherever this beautiful nest of sweet, golden nectar is - they fall down, collapse and seemingly and utterly, die and rot. Why? Well, the Seattle Bears if you missed it, nuked their own roster (nope.. we wish microwaved. Literally Kim Jong-un'd that shit) and totally sent themselves flying into a rebuild. Despite getting the shit absolutely Mayweathered out of themselves, more so management, the team states the moves were necessary and that while waiting another season may have paid off, it may have also burnt them just as bad. Since those gruesome days, the team has grown and shown signs of progress. This started out with having a significant draft in last years VHL entry draft - where they announced the Sergei Kovalev @Laflamme, Matt Thompson @Beketov, CHAT @eaglesfan036 and Roger Sterling @Will would be joining the team

So, what's next for the Bears and their magnificent plot to get that hooooney? What moves have they made so far this off-season?

1. Get some front office help.

The Seattle Bears organization proudly announced the other day the hiring of management help. It has be known that GM Campbell has been slightly struggling with maintain his energy levels throughout the duration of the season, and now that he's entering another rebuild, it's a great thing to have some extra help, activity and guidance. We have to remember, it's not that Campbell is shitting the bed, simply that he's GM'd over 900 consecutive games. That's the longest one time tenure in Bears history - all while he now holds 1st place for all-time Bears wins. While look at the big picture, his career may not be great - but despite his lack of championships, he's been great, loyal and active GM who puts his boys first. Now, with the endurance problem, the Bears moved forward to hire someone who isn't lacking in experience - old Riga Reign GM, @Toast. Now, the Bears have a great 1-2 punch in the GM section and surely will be bringing some power in the coming future.

Well, you said it pretty perfect. It's not that I've maybe lost passion or desire, but more so energy. We have other things going on, we're busy people and you know, being in a role for such a long period of time - you can get complacent and stuck. I've been at the helm for a very long time and despite this feeling and me bringing it up a couple times, I knew I'd regret heavily stepping down. Thus, we brought in help. Another big reason for this is that after an extended period of time like I've ran for, you get stuck in your ways. You have ideologies that you believe in, perspectives and strategies that you know or think would work and these are things you either knew or learnt, but rarely do you evolve after some point. Bringing in a great person like Toast enables the team to further our team discussions, while seeking positive and unique ideas for how the team should be. Very, very excited to have him come on board.

2. She's draft day.

The Seattle bears have made it known to the league's GM's that the draft picks are up for grabs, but that they better bring their pocket books and a pen, a turkey carver and a skin graph machine or a pretty solid pocket pussy with some semi-warmed coconut oil if they want to get their heads on it. In fact, while not 100% confirmed, little whispers throughout the league state the Bears got a garbage offer sending a 1st overall player (Thompson) and the 2nd overall pick for 2 mid firsts and an inactive. Of course, despite making a few dumpster deals in the previous season, this wasn't a must and Campbell told the GM to cook eggs.

Heading into the draft, the Bears are in a good position, but we wonder who they'll take? They're keen on loyalty, but who the fuck aint these days? The world is a giant maxy pad serving us pussies in the new societal melt down. Will it be Twinger, despite him already being selected 1st overall to the Riga Reign? Or how about @jRuutu, @Pandar or @Hybrid1486? Maybe he rolls off and selects the safest bet in the entire draft, his own player. In fact, if you think about - him and Twinger are the two most proven guys in the draft. It's going to be interesting to see.

Right now, we're having discussions with the team. Toast has finally be brought in and everyone is talking via text what are plans are for the draft. Clearly, we haven't much time and the clock is ticking, but patience will guide us in a good direction here. There's a lot of solid choices so we need to make the best one for the Seattle Bears. At this moment, discussions will obviously continue and well likely be reaching out to those select group of players once again.

3. Lastly, for this season - stay on track.

I don't think we want to rush this rebuild. We have a nice core here for the team and I truly feel like these guys are going to stick around and make Seattle a great place to be again. While the previous year was difficult for most of us, largely was it for goalie Roger Sterling. His record wasn't anywhere near "good", but you can't blame him in these moments. You want the guy to love his career, be happy and kick ass. Right now, that probably isn't happening. He has a high role in the league and he's very understanding and knows this is all a part of it, but we want to give him the best possible. Next years draft is looking great, so we want to remain big players in it. But, we do want to improve in certain areas. Unfortunately, it won't be in the standings but more so in player progression and stats.

I've always respected you as a GM. You were one of my favourites to negotiate with back during Riga. Now being a 1-2 punch together? This is going to be awesome.
