Fire Tortorella 2,653 Posted August 25, 2019 Share Posted August 25, 2019 I'm really hitting a writing block this week - feel like I should pull a @DilIsPickle and write 150 about VHL related nothingness. Really wish I kept my donations free week for this week or next week, since I"ll be away this weekend too, and that's when I do most of my writing. Part of the reason I hit the writing block is that we failed to make the playoffs, so all I can do is bandwagon Vancouver and Gritty/ @eaglesfan036. As of now, they're up 3-1 against Toronto, so good for them. If Vancouver ends up winning the series against Toronto, some people are going to go all "VHL is too random, Toronto should have beat them easily" - my responses would be "look at Tampa Bay in the playoffs last year" and "if they played 100 times, Toronto probably wins the vast majority of them, but it doesn't mean that Vancouver can't win 4 of 7 games." Ultimately people will always find a way to complain. FWIW I agree with you that it’s amount of “random” isn’t really wrong. Like you said, maybe out of 100 games Toronto wins 75 of them but that doesn’t mean they’re guaranteed to take 4 of 7.
