4 Forwards

8 Defence

2 Goalies

Bummer. I probably would have put Peace in had I known so many quality stats season players getting shafted to the popularity contest lol.

Also Rift posts best goalie stats this season, not an all star. Lol.

"Popularity contest really would only apply to one... and Peace isnt around anymore so that takes some votes away.

Yellow is the only one that peace is losing to that he is technically better and even then Thompson had almost as many points and way more hits.....

I meant more that only top 4 would be going due to GM selections factoring into the pop contest. It's fine, to a degree if it is a popularity contest. But I nominated a worst forward on my roster presuming Peace would be one of the top 5/6 likely in voting.

Also you are blind because Peace has 13 votes, Randoms, Ironside, and Jaguar all have more. If anything I think the GM player selections could come after public voting in the future? How are we supposed to know if someone on our own teams who is deserving of being All Star won't get the short end?

That's why everyone gets to nominate a player...... If you think Peace deserved it. That's why you get the early vote. There are only 12 All Star Forwards not everyone gets to be one that deserve it.....

I'm aware but type up your list of all stars and tell me there aren't notable names missing in place of others? As s GM I have no idea how many forwards or D or goalies will or will not be selected by GM's so I don't know what type of voting pool I'm dealing with till after. I had to assume considering the point totals this season that Rylan Peace was one of the 12 best forwards statistically. You can't tell me you don't think he's top 12 based on the stats.

I'm not starting a fight so you can dispense with the passive aggressive... at the end of everything. I am just making a critique of the system. Is that allowed without it being considered an attack? Because of the way GMs voted my second best defender in Sully Jr will get in but not my second best forward in Peace. Despite him having far more of an "all star" season. Yes obviously hindsight but if my vote wasn't locked in so I could see the results of who the community is sending, I could make sure my nomination is someone who deserves the spot doesn't get missed.

Besides the fact that anyone else absolutely would be up in arms if the best statistical goalie isn't considered an All Star despite their being 4 slots. I guess because it's my own player I just have to take it and shut up.

Blame all the General managers that voted in 2nd tier forward players (no offense said players) instead of true All Stars. Is the system a little flawed? a little but its more about community engagement than anything so ill take that instead of a couple people missing the cut.

that is my biggest issue with the ASG at the moment. And with the league expanding to 12 next season, does this mean the GMs will decide 12 of the 24 All-Stars? That's kinda ridiculous if everyone continues to send in "players they think wouldn't make it otherwise", because then the real stars definitely won't make it.

That will be addressed next season

Vote is still open

Hypothetically, though, what would happen?

 Lies.

I left the Discord because it’s a (or was) a cesspool of toxicity. Doesn’t mean I left the website altogether.

I don’t mind if my player makes it or not, I won’t be around to watch the live stream anyway - unless you stream a ton 10 PM MST - so I’m not truly engaged.

Take away GM nominations entirely imo. Add a rule similar to the NHL where a minimum of one player from each team needs to make it if you must, but leave it entirely up to voting.

How is the best goalie statistically only 3rd in votes? Did people even read that far down the list?

Wouldn't matter anyways. Two GM's opted to select two goalies who would not of made the ASG. As such only two on this list go. Kallis joins Rift with the snub. Another thing, why did we ask for members to vote on the Top 3 goalies when only the top 2 from the list would go?

To give the third string a chance....

But it actually  just inflates votes. Especially since two GM's opted to put in two goalies who shouldn't of been here. Many of the 46 people who voted for Rift, for example, also voted for Wahl and Pepper. Ergo it doesn't help us determine anything. Something tells me half the people that voted probably actually had zero idea considering you were asking for 3 votes, how many goalies voted on would even be going in when they voted.

GM's getting nominations wholesale doesn't make complete sense as @Enorama mentions. Not every team is always going to have an all star player on their roster. And traditionally, that shouldn't matter, because it's just a one off player. But if GM's can steal two of the 4 goalie slots with undeserving players to create a situation where the goalie who is likely to win top goalie isn't an all star, that's whack, and you can't tell me it's not. What if it was a forward who scored the most goals who was FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY?

I understand where you're coming from and I'm not sure about the other goalie, but take a look at Seattle and tell me which forward should be there. Kovalchuk switched mid-season, Oliver defensemen and forwards are good but they're also rookies just like me. Comparatively I have a good shot at Rookie of the year well none of my teammates do. so while I get your mad that I take up one of four slots rather than one of 12 or one of eight, I feel the GM selection is still a good thing. It seems should still have at least one representative
