It's an exciting time time for the VHL. The league saw a rebirth on the back of strong recruiting efforts starting back nearly an in-game decade ago, and now the first of those members are entering their second cycles in the league, leading to their first recreates following lengthy careers. The exception is Enorama, who created his GM player for the last draft and then saw a change in GM player rules resulting in Ryan Kastelic not projected to have a follow-up, so he got a head start on these other players, but had no carryover.

Portal developer Josh will be following up long-productive winger Jake Davis with a balanced defenseman in Roque Davis. Fellow portal helper and league app creator Dil will follow up Diljodh Starload with a sniping center named Ola Vikingstad, so named by NHL 19's auto name generation. Future Toronto GM Peace will bring his first GM player, balanced forward Erik Killinger, to replace longtime Legion center Rylan Peace. And Nykonax will follow up the up-and-down Elias Dahlberg with another center in Kyl Oferson, who has eschewed skating and puck handling early to build a balanced base in scoring and defense.
