Not the league i fell in love with

I have been a part of this league, closing in on 6 years now. Not consistently, as the real worls does come first like the birth of my 2 children, losing my first wife, and now my sons cancer. However, its always been a place i come back too, try to check in on. See how people are doing, i had some great memories. From nearly stopping the 3peat as an underdog GM in Davos, to Sergei amazing career, or bashing in heads with Evgeni Komarov.

Ive formed friendships with some members, and always enjoyed my time here. Ive been a GM, helped the junior commish team, basically ran a team after the GM went MIA, and helped countless members in their careers. I learned, how to type english better on this site. Shared some emotional moments in my life. I stepped away with the hopes to return one day. A few seasons later, i return.

However, sadly my experience here has been less than ideal. I returned an basically had my choice of almost all junior teams, knowing my return and my time is fairly limited i wanted to join a contender. Even if it meant less ice time, my time away took abit of adjusting to return to updating, as i did not know we moved practice facility and my first week was full of appointments with my son. The season started, now a few weeks old and my player is averaging under 5 minutes due to my gm not placing me in the lineup. Claiming i was inactive, despite i logged in every day. Apparently im on the trade block now which is fine, but still not playing is frustrating, beyond words as i have no clue how im actually doing.

The next problem rolled down when the league decided it was going to drastically change welfare siteing TPE inflation. Meaning im losing about 10 TPE a season now, because the league instead of punishing SBA members who litterly post barely anything on the site by taking away their free tpe they now take away from members who contribute to the site. The answer back to me from the commish team? If i havent had 2 700TPE players have i really ever done anything? Why yes i have an i listed in above, the second response its only 1 TPE which like i just stated is about 10 a season, which equates to about 90TPE loss and thats not factoring offseason which puts it close to 100. This desicion was not met well, but the commish team does not seem to care about its members.

Proof being the next choice, since i joined answer sharing has been a thing an probably before me. I never really did trivia despite always having the answers. However, again the commish team has decided to axe it without even consulting the man who created it. Who stepped down in response as he didn not want it this way. This removed another way i could regain the TPE already stolen from me by the league. They did this by now banning members from answer sharing which has faced even bigger back lash than welfare.

The league is in a sad state of affairs and i admit its made me reconsider my return to the league as all the fun is being drained away.

The commish team didn't respond to you in that thread, that was just Corco. AFAIK he doesn't hold a single league job rn.

This. And I also suggested that you PM the blue team asking for an exemption from the rule, did you do that? @Gooningitup

I did pretty much got the no exceptions was decided a long time ago lol

We did try to find the members it would affect but I think we miss counted. We’re discussing potential alternatives but didn’t want to straight up grandfather people in because that’s completely saying to new guys “hey, you weren’t around 12 years ago when this was easy so they get to do less work than you.” Considering the common sentiment is “fuck the old boys club” (which doesn’t even exist) we didn’t want to have 2 different segments of pension.

With that said, as I mentioned, we’re looking at alternatives.
