Big Mac 310
Wow look at that I’m not ranking players in a draft class. Instead I’m going back to writing the 3 stars of a team, and I’m going from worst to best, and sing the standings will most likely change I’m gonna keep this list, so it’s based off of that (which will be displayed at the very bottom). So anyways this is fairly simple, and since we can’t compare goalies to skaters I’ll try my best to somehow use value in a away as well. I also want to say this is in no specific order, and you can put it in your own. Matthew Materazo: Well I doubt this is hard for anyone to believe Materazo has been consistent as a great player, but let’s be honest he will most likely never be a superstar nonetheless though let’s talk about him. Materazo I’m sure is content with being on a such a garbage dumpster fire of a team, as he’s won two cups, though both came in the VHLM, nevertheless he came close to gold when the Malmo 'Hawks made it to the finals only to get sat on by Seattle. I can’t imagine how sad it must be nevertheless Materazo this year has 19 goals and 15 assists for 34 points in 35 games, and since these aren’t end of the season stats I’ll do some quick math for you he’s on a 70 point pace (just missed out on the 69), and he’s on pace for 39 goals which would be a career high, and I honestly think Materazo should request a trade or go play somewhere else cause he’s been on a tear for such a bad team. To sum it up Materazo is probably gonna have his best dominant goal scoring season, and will have his 2nd best season on the worst team (at the time of writing this). Samuel Ross: Well Ross is a tough case cause he has a 2.72 GAA, and that’s not great, but when you’re on the worst team, and your best young defensemen had to fall in the draft just so the GM at the time couldn’t make a mistake, it’s just very sad at that point, and god bless Gustav cause he’s gonna need it, but anyways on to Ross (not in a sexual way). Ross is honestly a good goalie considering his circumstances, but if he put up these numbers on a good team he’d be average as hell its just the way hockey works. He’s on pace for his best season, and is probably one of the biggest busts of his class considering underyew and Lehtinen Jr, and a few others, but anyways he’s still earning TPE unlike the others, but honestly I could still see him going inactive only time will tell, and he better bank on being a sim god cause he might just not have a job. Though based off of this season, he’s probably gonna get better, as I can’t see the team being this bad with such a good gm (and he’s a brand new boys maybe he’ll have the Holland effect). Anyways to sum it up Ross should honestly retire or make a 360 cause after this season I can’t see his player going anywhere. John Madden: There isn’t really much to say about Madden he’s a Davos loyalists, which I guess cheers to you, but it’s the equivalent of Larry Fitzgerald like the team is bad, and might get better you can never tell, and maybe they’ll draft Peace, who will be the next HHH, and not pan out until 3 seasons later. Madden is such a quality scorer as well, someone do this man a favor and trade him. His talents are just too good to be on such a team like Davos, and his +/- shows that as well, and I think he could be a game changer in a place like Seattle (a super team not doing nearly as well) or Calgary (a team with no prolific scorer, but a team full with depth of scoring). He would help both teams tremendously, and Madden probably wouldn’t mind since he’s on the bottom half at this point in time, and is still hanging in their, and to talk about his stats, he has 15 goals and 16 assists for 31 points, and doing that math he’s on pace for 64 points, and even if this is his last great year he’ll be a great veteran presence (no irony). Hopefully he can hang in their cause these next few seasons are either gonna be great with no room for Madden, or god awful with at that point maybe only Madden, and hopefully if the 1st option happens they can give him captaincy for being such a loyal great veteran cause he deserves it. To sum it up Madden is a great player who I don’t know what will happen, but if he could sign with another team he’d still somehow sign to Davos. Now we move on to the honorable mentions (basically a way for me to hit 1000 words). Fernando Jokinen - Jokinen is a solid young defensemen who will most likely break his career high in a few games, and based off of his points which he has 1 goal and 16 assists for 17 points, and his high is 20 which probably would’ve been higher had he played a full season, the only thing he could work on is most likely checking cause having another physical presence on their blue line would help, and I’m not gonna make this too long. To sum it up in a few words, KEEP JOKINEN. Tony Bolonee - Tony is a reliable defensemen, and is actually 2nd in hits on the team which isn’t half bad for a young defensemen like himself who probably wouldn’t get nearly as much time had he been on another team nevertheless he’s an honorable mention. To sum it up he’s not a need more so a want that is realistic. Shawn Glade Jr. - Glade is the lowest scoring player on the team which is hard to believe seeing this, but he’s also on the blue line so yikes, and he’s a great defender so don’t hold that against him ok. He’s their cornerstone more like a pebble compared to guys like Lahtinen, LaFontaine, and Encarnacion (if I spelled that correctly). Though even if he is a pebble they should definitely keep him, and he would be a great fit alongside Jokinen. SGjr scored 128 points last season, beating out every single player you listed here, and he's on a shitty team, as a rookie. Pebble my ass Take a damn chill pill, and I constantly acknowledge he’s a rookie on a shitty team if he wasn’t under either these circumstances he wouldn’t have been a honorable mention. Also from what people have told me VHLM stats don’t matter, and I also I’m not sure if you mean the rookies I’ve mentioned, but it’s based off of TPE production as well. The pebble thing is a compliment it just means you’re a high elite player not a franchise cornerstone. I will say, I firstly read it as "horrible mentions" so I'll apologize a bit But I still stand my ground a bit, you basically said how he's pebble and a step behind the guys he dominated the fuck out of last season. Makes no sense Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/77064-hc-davos-dynamo-3-stars/#findComment-712819 Share on other sites
