I am gonna be honest, our team haven't had a lot of great games this season, but it is okay, because all of my favourite games will be coming next season.

 

2.   The drama off the ice in Miami is likely more compelling than the action on the ice this season, with all the assault, tomfoolery, and general mischief involving some or all of our team’s players. Which storyline(s) are you enjoying or following most?
Of course I like to choose Oh Sens drama, where he is right into mix of Miami culture and he is feeling really well in Miami.

 

3.   Have you heard that the World Junior Championship (WJC) is coming up this summer? It’s a seasonal tournament that features the best VHL prospects up to 300 TPE. Which of the WJC five teams will you be cheering for: America, Asia, Canada, Europe, or World?
I will have to definitely support my boys in Asia. I certainly hope I can get in that team too.

 

4.   Who from our team should make the roster of their WJC team, and why?

I would say Dakota Lamb, because he is tearing up enemy goalies.

 

 

5.   What’s your favourite TPE task to do? Why?
I would say media, because I like to create a story for my player.

 

6.   What makes you get hyped up about simulation hockey?

It's how unpredictable it is. You can have really bad teams in previous season go to champions in next season.

I'd have to say our very first game, because we won it.  I dont think anyone was expecting that and to see the guys in the locker room when the results were posted was really cool.

I'm liking @osens dramas on getting used to life in north america and of course i have had a few issues with the press.

i will be cheering for canada and maybe whichever team australia is in, which surprisingly, isnt asia from memory.

 

4.   Who from our team should make the roster of their WJC team, and why?

Honestly, id imagine that we have several players worthy of consideration and i really hope that we can put up some players for the competition.

 

5.   What’s your favourite TPE task to do? Why?
i like point task articles for creating stories, but lately im liking reviews, because it means i read more of other peoples work.

 

6.   What makes you get hyped up about simulation hockey?

I like watching the zamboni between periods, i keep hoping to see it lose an edge and go straight through the boards.

           Man I have loved to play Ottawa. They're the defending champs, and we seem to play them well, if not winning. But that first game against Minny...man that was awesome!

           I gotta love @Andre LeBastard and his tirades against the media. He's just stirring us up to motivate us, and to unite us as a team. It's good leadership. And entertaining, too!

 

3.   Have you heard that the World Junior Championship (WJC) is coming up this summer? It’s a seasonal tournament that features the best VHL prospects up to 300 TPE. Which of the WJC five teams will you be cheering for: America, Asia, Canada, Europe, or World?
          I am from Iceland, so....whichever team that ends up being haha.

 

4.   Who from our team should make the roster of their WJC team, and why?

           I honestly haven't looked at what the rosters might be, so I don't know. @Bacon is a great goalie. Kramerev is our best D-man! Andre and others are awesome at scoring. I would love to represent Iceland.

 

5.   What’s your favourite TPE task to do? Why?
         I enjoy writing the 500-word or so articles. It's a chance to dive in to the character or the stats of the player or team. It's a lot of fun!

 

6.   What makes you get hyped up about simulation hockey?

         Seeing the progress of our players and how that plays out in games is awesome! I love there's improvement every week.

3. I'll be cheering for Europe, since Kosmo will be a candidate to play for them.

4. Probably Kosmo, since he puts up a lot if points for a rookie.

5. This one, because it's the least work.

6. I'm super competitive, so seeing my fictional man's numbers go up faster than someone else's, and my fictional team beat another really gets me going.

4. I defiantly think that Andre deserved his spot on Asia's roster, he put in the work this season.
5. Graphics, I love doing them and I'm trying to get better at them everyday.

I'm not sure if there has been a game that I specifically can say is my favorite, I love any game we win but besides that I think it'd have to be my first Game Played.

I haven't exactly followed alot, I've more tried to stay in my own lane and be the best I can be.

I'll be cheering on my Canadian brothers, really hope I can crack their roster next season.

Dakota Lamb 100%, he has excelled on every line and has been our most consistent player, he should have been a lock for Canada but I guess he will just have to show them what they could've had with his play the rest of this season.

 

5.   What’s your favourite TPE task to do? Why?
 

I enjoy doing edits but I don't submit alot of mine, I enjoy it because it's a way to express yourself I guess.

 

6.   What makes you get hyped up about simulation hockey?

 

I really want to try my best to be a record holder or be on some sort of leader board, I also enjoy when we have huge sims full of wins.

I usually catch some games, but I don't extensively follow it. I watch the medal games, and keep track of how the NHL top prospects/Bruins prospects are doing.

 

2.   What is your favourite WJC moment ever?

Jordan Eberle's goal in the 2009 WJC to tie it for Canada against Russia in the dying seconds on the 3rd. Absolutely electrifying moment.

 

3.   In S72, the VHLM WJC is made up of 5 teams: Canada, USA, Europe, Asia, and Team World. If the tournament expanded to include one more team, what team would it be?

I would probably divide Europe into 2 teams. East and West maybe? North and South? I think there is enough talent throughout Europe to ice 2 teams.

 

4.   As a WJC fan or player, what bonus perks or experiences would you want from the tournament?

I would like to play in the WJC.. so bad. But written game recaps would be nice to see.

I do alot of sketching/drawing. I keep it to myself though.

          I really don't to be honest. But I do end up hearing about the winners and championship games and whatnot. It's cool; I just don't have a lot of extra time!

        Honestly, because of the above and I am new to VHL, I don't really have one. Though in real life the US seems to have been well represented in recent years, and I like that.

 

3.   In S72, the VHLM WJC is made up of 5 teams: Canada, USA, Europe, Asia, and Team World. If the tournament expanded to include one more team, what team would it be?
         I think it would be cool if it were one of the traditional European powers, like Russia, Sweden, Finland, Slovakia, etc. It would feel a little more connected to real life than an entire Team Europe does.

         Well this season I am definitely just a fan. Umm...I honestly can't think of any, but if Stansson could get press box seats, I suppose, that would be good. He would really appreciate getting to cheer for all the teams!

1. Hockey is generally on when I'm working or with my family, these days, so I pretty much only have time for the NHL and my sim leagues.

 

2. When I was in university, my friends and I went to a sports bar to watch the Canada-Russia finals. There's was this huge Russia Dan there - I mean huge, he had one bar stool per butt cheek. That guy was hilarious to watch.

 

3. An expansion would probably split Europe into East and West, like the Cold War.

 

4. It would be great to interact with my team's locker room and meet some new people - IF I HAD ONE.

Once. The new coach of our team didnt like me much and so I joined a rival. The next season we won the Cup and I led the league in assists. Fuck him.

1. Probably the same. We're a young team, we need the guys who are improving for next year, and our picks, too.

2. Bacon is fried and has been panned by management, putting the sizzle on him. Miami is looking to serve him up by breakfast.

3. Miami, because we won't do anything. Rentals backfire too often 

4. When Pittsburgh traded for Kessel. I never thought I'd see my team win back to back cups again. This trade was key to that.

5. I've been traded twice in the same off-season, since I became interim GM for one team, a GM was hired, then I became interim GM for another. It wasn't great, I'd hoped to challenge the goal scoring record in my original team, and was forced out of that for the good of the league.

6. Move him ASAP. I don't want that kind of attitude when I'm trying to build a cohesive locker room.

I expect us to pretty much stay put how we are. We have no reason to either sell ro buy, so unless something suprising happens, I expect us to be icing the same roster at 3:01pm EDT. You never know, if Ricer sees a way to improve our roster without hurting us long term, he will do it.

Florent Vericel ( @dart ) to Minnesota for 2 1st round picks. Book it.

 

3.   Who “will/did win” the VHLM trade deadline?
I think the contenders like Minny and Saskatoon will be the big winners, they're both trying to win it all this season, but we won't know until the playoffs who actually wins. 

 

4.   What professional sports trade impacted you the most, and why?
The Boston Bruins trading Joe Thornton. He was my dad's favourite player, we both had Joe Thornton jerseys (I had my youth Pooh Bear), and he still talks to this day about how they gave the league MVP away for next to nothing. Maybe the Tyler Seguin trade impacted me more personally, but I understand the reasoning behind it. (Although the return was shit) 

 

5.   Have you ever been traded? What does it feel like to be traded?
Never been traded, but i'm sure it's a mix of emotions, sort or a bittersweet feeling. Excited to join a new team, but sad that you're leaving a group of guys that you have been close with.

Trade him. It's better for morale, player-management trust, everything. If you can't find a buyer, it happens, but try your hardest to give that player what they want while also improving your team.

           Not us, but we don't need to. Perhaps Mexico City, to be provacative.

             Honestly, overall I would say when the Portland Trail Blazers traded away Clyde Drexler. This was my childhood team, and its best player! From a hockey standpoint, it was only later that I realized that Gretzky being traded was terrible!

 

5.   Have you ever been traded? What does it feel like to be traded?
         I never have; this is a first-gen guy!

          It depends on whether he's going to be a free agent. If so, I desperately try to move him to avoid losing him for nothing. If not, I shop him, but I'm not desperate.

I guess Porzingis trade, because it was massive and involved my country best basketball player. It was just great to go from shithole franchise to great and successful franchise.

 I have been traded. It feels usually pretty fun, because you are treated little bit more special. You get that feeling, that team wanted you.

3.    S73 will see four new VHL franchises added to the league. After your experience as an inaugural member of the Miami Marauders, would you want to play for a first-year expansion franchise again? Why or why not?

4.    Many of us have only ever played in the VHLM. Are you looking forward to moving up to the VHL, or are you enjoying your time in the M?

5.    Today’s Fathers Day in many countries! What’s a valuable lesson you’ve learned from a father-figure in your life?

3.    S73 will see four new VHL franchises added to the league. After your experience as an inaugural member of the Miami Marauders, would you want to play for a first-year expansion franchise again? Why or why not?

Not too sure, I think I will still be in the VHLM next season, but I will have to see what the draft brings, in terms of who gets my VHL rights.

 

4.    Many of us have only ever played in the VHLM. Are you looking forward to moving up to the VHL, or are you enjoying your time in the M?

See above in part. But yes Im liking the VHLM. we have a fantastic team and we have a good time in the locker room. I will look forward to the VHL once my player is better.

 

5.    Today’s Fathers Day in many countries! What’s a valuable lesson you’ve learned from a father-figure in your life?

When I joined the Army, my father took me aside and told me 'Always make friends with the cook', this is quite simply the best advice I have ever had in my life.

6.    What will be your song of Summer 2020 (or Winter 2020 for Andre )?
