#WeStandUnited: A London United Leadership Group Announcement

The London United staff has decided not to name a captain for this first season in the

history of the franchise. Like the Vegas Golden Knights did when they entered the NHL

a couple of seasons ago, we are giving ourselves a season to see how things develop

before choosing who will represent our team as its captain. We also won't be naming

official alternate captains, as we felt like naming 3 leaders out of 4 active players on

our roster would mean unnecessarily singling out one player as a non-leader.

 

Instead, we have decided that our four active players will be rotating as alternate

captains, forming one united leadership group. Four players that will be with part of

the London United organization from their very first season. Four players who will

hopefully stick with us through these inevitably rough first couple of seasons and stand

as our leaders when we are on top of the league. Four players around which we opted to

build our franchise in this first season.
