And what if someone doesn't post anything?
-
No post is required to decline a player option, only to accept it. Unless inactive, if a player doesn't say anything they're a FA. And if inactive too, but then it depends on the GM posting something.

I quite enjoyed that edition for some reason. Probably because it was slightly different. Anyway, congrats to New York on winning their 4th cup since expansion (that's the most) and here are the delayed answers: How many finals did New York lose between their first and second Continental Cups? ANSWER: Before NY was the model franchise of the VHL, they were the laughing stock. Last ones to win their 1st cup in S14, the Americans then waited til S32 to win their 2nd. In that time, they lost 5 finals, including one to Vasteras (their only cup since S1) and including 4 straight (S25 to S28). Poor guys. How many Continental Cup finals have involved a team based in Sweden? ANSWER: Kind of a trick? Maybe. Vasteras made two finals before relocation to Madrid, where they made a 3rd but Madrid's in Spain so Vasteras made 3 in total when they came back and won the cup in S26 (beating NY as seen above). Stockholm as a city has been to the finals twice - once in S47 as we just saw, and once way back in S4, when they actually beat Vasteras on the way there. Because Stockholm back then was Riga now. Also Stockholm back then were the Rams but they started off as the Thunder, which was the name of Madrid which is Vasteras which is now Stockholm. It's pretty confusing even to type. So basically, 5 finals. The same amount as Vasteras/Madrid/Stockholm, but you take off Madrid and add on a different Stockholm. Phewf. Question for both: This is the second time the New York and Stockholm franchises meet in the finals. Before their first encounter, which one had more finals appearances? ANSWER: Definitely a trick. They both had 3! Before Vasteras broke their curse in S26 and extended NY's, Vasteras had made the finals in S1 and S2 and then as Madrid in S18. New York in the meantime made them in S13 and S14 and then in S25, the start of the 4 straight they all lost. NY has finally had their revenge in S47, while also showing Vasteras how to properly turn things around. 1 capped TPE goes to: CowboyinAmerica fever95 Green gregreg Higgins jaladolar JardyB10 Kendrick Mike Mr. Power Phil solas sterling StevenStamkos91 Streetlight Velevra And here's the FINAL S47 leaderboard, + the uncapped TPE that goes with it: 5 TPE Velevra - 16 sterling - 15 CowboyinAmerica - 14 Phil - 14 also 5 TPE to me because @Draper said so in S44. Gooning doesn't need 1st round picks, he will beat all other GMs through sheer persistence. No reason to be concerned for Davos tbh.
-
Yes they would. That's the major disadvantage.

eaglesfan keeps producing these top quality podcasts

Damn DGFX and I are on the wrong team.

well actually Kronos is listed as a S48 player: http://www.vhlforum.com/index.php?/topic/27758-s48-d-titan-kronos-tpe-78-2-banked-que/ I imagine looking at the player page date that due to proximity to the trade deadline he was allowed to be a S49 player, but clearly that was forgotten when the thread was made. A clusterfuck all around.

The recruitment simulator would be so good.

Claimed:The VHL-an outsider's perspective [Essentially Reviewed]
Victor replied to snake3001's topic in Archived Career Tasks
This has been really helpful, I'm glad you've left your feedback. I wish more new members told us about their first impressions. I did a very quick run through some of the threads in that forum a few weeks ago to make sure they weren't too outdated but the New Member Guide section probably needs a bit more work and I didn't really have the time to read through it. The point about earning TPE and the TPE scale is very fair. It's actually a remarkably simple system, which hasn't changed much since 2007, but if we make that very clear it can only be helpful. -
Joke's on you, I'm not.
-
Just don't get banned by eaglesfan. That would be an all-time low considering he has no authority here.

http://www.vhlforum.com/index.php?/topic/21199-seator-s43-off-season/ That thread more or less encompasses the reasoning behind the Seattle decision. Toronto was probably done the same way because it was the same time and it wasn't worth the argument. Fuck knows what I was doing at the time, but the logic, as I said earlier, was lesser of two evils.
-
Of course yes, it was all part of my devious plan (MY devious plan, not the commishes') to ruin Davos, the franchise I GMed to two cups, while ensuring Seattle didn't draft based on TPE but instead on whether or not a prospect had a VHLM GM job so that Helsinki would get a prospect slightly ahead of Komarov on TPE. Your contributions are appreciated and from our time in Davos I believe we are on quite good terms, but your constant overreactions and conspiracy theories mean that in a nutshell, go fuck yourself.
-
no you would have been happier if Davos had hosed the market
-
So if we let DGFX. become GM as he wanted, would you have been happy?
-
Just found out Helsinki had a pick this draft, what a pleasant surprise.

I invite you to look at the update threads also, which provide a more current and accurate representation.
