  1. Hey, man, I hope you decide to GM anyway. As with any place on the internet, you're going to have comments that you don't like or whatever, just ignore it, there's no need to call people names or anything. And like Frank said, it doesn't look very good on you if you quit just because one person was negative. just my two cents. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
  2. I'll take this this week. Just saw this post now. Can I just take a free 6 TPE and the 6 TPE from the media spot I already did?
  3. Hey, I haven't gone inactive and I was a new member becoming GM.
  4. I'm on this list and I'm not a recreate.
  5. Latino in the News: Third Edition Well, he did it. Felipe Rodriguez of the Ottawa Lynx got the first hat trick of his career. Last time we spoke to him, we asked if he thought he would get it before the end of the season. He conservatively said,"Maybe" but he doesn't have to wonder now. Flip finished the year with 19 goals and 36 assists for 55 points in 66 games. His Lynx are now up 3-2 in the VHLM Finals over the Moscow Red Wolves. We caught up with him after the latest loss in Game 5. Reporter: "Thanks for taking the time to talk to us. After three consecutive wins, it's gotta be tough to take two losses in a row and give Moscow some momentum."Felipe: "No problem. And yeah, it sucks, it's tough, but we'll pull through. We always do. We knew Moscow was going to be tough. Brampton came off a sweep and won the first game, and we were able to topple them to make it here. I'm not too worried about us coming together and turning it back around."Reporter: "We noticed your first post season fight tonight, what brought that on?"Felipe: "It actually might have been the first fight of my career. I got pummeled. I was trying to spark the team and get some offense going but that turned out to be counterproductive."Reporter: "We'd have to check the stats to see if that's your first fight. But it wasn't pretty, you're right about that. You'll have a nice black eye to carry into the next game. How do you change your personal game plan to avoid the "reverse sweep" some are predicting?"Felipe: "I don't think I personally need to change anything, I don't think the team needs to change anything. I know it seems like something has to change but it's the game plan that got us this far so I think we need to wait it out. I do not want to play a game 7 though. We need to close out this series next game."Reporter: "With the draft getting ever closer, have any teams reached out to you? How do you expect your game to translate at the next level?"Felipe: "I think it's safe to answer these types of questions now. I have been contacted by one VHL team who was interested in seeing how I would fit. All I can say is it is a team with a top 5 pick. So that's pretty exciting. To be honest, I'm not completely sure which draft I'm eligible for and which league I'll be playing in next season but I'm excited nonetheless. I don't expect to make the jump to the VHL just yet anyway. I think I'll be in the VHLM for at least one more season. I need to work on a few aspects of my game before I'm ready for the big time."Reporter: "Thanks for your time. Good luck wherever you go. We'll catch up with you after the draft." Felipe: "Thank you, talk to you then." That's all for this edition of Latino in the News. We will catch up with Felipe after the draft to see where he ends up. Thanks and stay tuned for next edition.
  6. Get out your brooms, we're about to sweep!

  10. you have Saskatoon and it's Ottawa.
  11. Felipe’s Blades Take the Wild in Four Games The Brampton Blades swept the Saskatoon Wild to advance to the next round of the North American Conference playoffs. They were helped out by Pete Stockton’s superb play posting four goals in four games. Also, Ken Anderson Marquis Hyvarinen, Saul Hackett, and John Sleeman accounted for a whopping 19 assists in those four games. On the back end, Cooper Supernaw played like a man possessed with two shutouts to go along with a 1.09 goals against average and a .926 save percentage while facing only 68 shots on their way to the sweep. Supernaw will be relied upon more heavily next round when he’ll face off against the red hot Ottawa Lynx. Next up, the Blades will travel to Ottawa and face the Lynx on their home ice. Fortunately for the Blades, the Lynx have not played in some time. The Blades will have to hope the Lynx show up rusty and will have to take full advantage of the momentum they have gained coming off the sweep in round one. (179 words)

  17. Great game, guys!
  18. Felipe's New Role Felipe Rodriguez’s recent promotion to GM of the Brampton Blades has paid dividends not only for him but also the team he plays for and the team he manages. It was the confidence boost he needed to take his offensive game to the next level. In fact, just this past game against the Bern Royals, Flip recorded the first hat trick of his career and subsequently, the only 3 goals the Lynx put on the board in the 3-2 victory. The Ottawa Lynx’s record over the past 10 games is 9-1-0 and in that span, Felipe has recorded 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points as well as a +17 rating. That is an average of two points per game which is up there close to the league leader in points per game. He also was not in the negative the entire 10 game stretch. Felipe has 19 goals on the year meaning he more than doubled his season total in the past 10 games. At 19 goals and 34 assists, Felipe is still seven points away from the leader board for points for defensemen in the VHLM. As a GM, Felipe took over the Brampton Blades due to inactivity by their former GM. He inherited a very quiet and inactive locker room with only three active players. Just a few hours into his term as GM, Felipe made a move for a player many believe will be drafted first overall in the upcoming draft. That means Brampton needs to make the most of this season as he will likely be gone afterwards. That player is John Sleeman. Brampton had to send a few picks to Bratislava for Sleeman in hopes he’d put them over the top for a deep playoff run. It is looking like Ottawa, the team Felipe actually plays for, might be too tough for Brampton, but in the playoffs, anything can happen. Since taking over as GM and adding the star defenseman, Brampton has had their ups and downs posting a respectable 7-3-0 record their last 10 games. More importantly, they have clinched a playoff spot and need to stay healthy and hungry going into the post season. What is next for Felipe now? Well, for now he’s focusing on both of his teams. Brampton claimed a new left wing, Adam Holmstrom from Skelleftea, Sweden as a playmaker to hopefully boost offensive production, something they’ll need plenty of if they plan on taking down Ottawa and their high powered offense. As for the player, Felipe just needs to ride this hot streak into the post season and lead his team to the Promised Land. The puck has been bouncing his way lately so there’s not much that needs to be changed as far as he is concerned. His ice time is at a season high as is his offensive production. He is peaking at the perfect time, when it matters, we will just have to hope this is a pace he can maintain and this is not a fluke streak of great offensive games. (509 words)
  19. oh, awesome! First career hat trick.
  20. Brampton claims Holmstrom.
  21. sorry for your loss
  22. Yeah, I had all the numbers written out but didn't end up using them all. As Brampton's GM, I'm worried lol
  23. Brampton claims PJ Jackson
