  1. Very nice write up about a very good career any young defenseman would love to have. Noticed one error in the 2nd paragraph, "Escabar 24 goals and added..." I'm assuming should be "Escabar tallied/scored/had 24 goals..." But overall a very nice write up, easy to read.
  2. Looks like the beginning of a good Player Bio. It's pretty well written as well. Only thing I noticed was in the 2nd paragraph, 8 year's old should just be 8 years old, Pavels brother should be Pavel's brother. Also, use quoted for the last part. It jumps from 3rd person to first person and seems strange until you read on and see it's quotes from him. Overall, nicely done.
  3. Pretty nice little write up. The only complaint I have is it's basically just a written out stat sheet, which I'm guilty of doing as well. Also, 0.923% save percentage should either be 92.3% or 0.923 save percentage. But keep up the good work!
  4. Another thing I didn't see mentioned in here yet is eating less, more frequently. You want to eat to keep your metabolism going. And eat as soon as you get up to start your metabolism. I lost about 6 pounds in a week just by doing that. I was already pescatarian (only eat vegetables and fish/seafood) but I would get hungry at work and immediately go get chips or cookies. I started packing granola bars or light string cheese in my lunches so I'd have a healthy alternative every 2.5 hours or so. also, I get sick of water so I like to switch between water and tea, no sweetener or Splenda if I need it. good luck though in your weight loss
  5. we are going to be worse than Brampton
  6. Sign me up! I grade in the SBA, too.
  7. There's a program/software whatever you call it to edit the lines.
  8. Ahma is looking for a Co-GM but still wants to GM Saskatoon and whatever VHL team.
  9. That I could do, I just can't install the software to do the lines on my work laptop. Grading doesn't require anything.
  10. Because the only active guy on my team isn't very active and I feel like I'll enjoy my time on this site better without having to make sure I check the locker room on the off chance someone said something. also, my laptop is a piece if garbage and I can't set or send lines anymore. I'll still be active though, just not getting paid 1 TPE per week for doing nothing lol
  11. Flip wants another showdown against Black Velvet.
  12. Because it should be an easy win? Lol
  13. If you looked up hotel prices online and it says it's $250 US, I would expect you to get there and it cost 20,000 rubles. The cost to stay there doesn't just change like that. You're comparing apples to apples but it doesn't work like that. when you buy a book or magazine, a lot of the time they'll have USD and Canadian prices. They're not the same price because of the exchange rate. A $10 USD book is $14.38 Canadian, not $10.
  14. Since the exchange rate makes the USD so much more valuable, I'm pretty sure they know the basic exchange rate at small shops and would adjust pricing. As for a hotel or airport or someplace major, they would probably accept both payment methods but convert it so like 128 rubles or $16 USD. I know in Mexico though, very few places accepted USD.
  15. Top Defensemen Pt. 1 of 2 In the early goings of season 47, it's looking like there is some good competition at the defenseman position. The top four in points are Felipe Rodriguez, Tanner Hynes, Cian Mercer, and Black Velvet. All three have 20 or more points which is good for top 5 in the league. In fourth with 20 points is Black Velvet of the Yukon Rush, a very dangerous offensive defenseman. He currently leads all defensemen in goals with 11, which is good for 3rd overall, and a whopping 75 shots. He has already had a 4-goal game this season and it's only 11 games in. He's currently sitting at a +4 rating and shooting at 14.67% while playing about 29 or 30 minutes per game. More impressive still is the fact that he's leading the entire league in power play goals with 5. All of these stats come in just 11 games, one less than the others on this list. Velvet looks to be a top pick in the upcoming draft. It has been rumored that he may be teaming up with John Sleeman and Felipe Rodriguez in Quebec City. It would definitely create a lethal, young defensive core for many, many years. Our scouts have noticed Black Velvet training a lot frequently and it appears he has been working on his skating skills, scoring, and his puck handling. He looks to be working on becoming an even scarier defensive assignment for opposing teams. He's one defenseman you do not want to let loose in the offensive zone as he'll make you pay, especially with the man advantage. He's already proclaimed himself as the favorite to be taken first overall in next year's draft and with the numbers to back it up. Next up, in third with 21 points, we have Cian Mercer. Mercer blasted into the scene late last season as a waiver pick up for the Season 46 champion Ottawa Lynx where he was teammates with Felipe Rodriguez. Cian was relatively quiet during the regular season but definitely turned some heads in the post season posting 8 points in 11 post season games while on the second pairing. Mercer impressed the Ottawa GM enough the first time around that he was selected by Ottawa in the subsequent draft. That pick has ended up paying dividends as Mercer is tied for first place in assists at 19. He's sitting at a +15 rating putting him in second place behind teammate left wing David Hamilton. He has 2 goals on 24 shots making his shooting percentage only 8.33%. I expect this to increase and when it does, he should be able to keep pace with the other leaders on this list. He's been spotted in the practice facility working on his passing ability. He looks to be a pass-first defenseman who could be a great power play quarterback. He is, or at least should be, climbing on almost every GM's draft board as a very promising and, more importantly, active defenseman coming up in the draft.Next time we'll take a look at the other two defensemen on this list, Felipe Rodriguez of the Saskatoon Wild and Tanner Hynes of the Moscow Red Wolves.
