  1. Felipe Rodriguez - Saskatoon Wild Defenseman Points Shot Blocks P.S. Can I change this before the deadline still?
  2. Nice interview. That first paragraph was a bit sketchy though. "He was able to..." "I was able to..." seemed awkward as did "bellow (below) are from the interview" Overall though, nice piece.
  3. Nice job writing this up. Really, the only complaint I have is that you mention 0 TPE and computerized players. I like reading these things as if they were real hockey players/teams/etc. but it kind of kills the vibe for me. Overall, nice write up, good luck the rest of the season.
  4. Good interview content-wise. Could use some separation between the interviewer's questions and your responses. Also, a picture would be nice, even something simple. Lastly, you were at 456 words so in the future you should probably add a little more to get up the 500 word count we're looking for. All things considered, nice job with the interview. Just need to work on length and appearance but those are things that are easy to fix.
  5. Very nicely done, especially for your first media spot. Unfortunately, you were wrong about me. I was a huge dud in the young guns game. Overall, nice write up for each player listed and nice use of actual numbers to back up your claims. Maybe you should write more often now. Keep up the good work.
  6. Welcome to the league, I think you're fairly new anyway. Nice job putting this list together. I've been here a while and still can't write anything that isn't about my player lol. Don't worry about the pictures. If you need help getting them posted, let me know and I might be able to help out. Keep up the good work and you'll be earning a lot of TPE in no time!
  7. Nicely done. Well put together. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Pictures were a nice touch. Keep up the good work, man.
  8. most minutes played, 0 points
  9. Interested to see how the lines turn out.
  10. Looks like I'll be catching up on Monday.
  11. Absolutely, I'm not afraid to lose the belt because it's not going to happen.
  12. Tried to deal him outside the conference but no one matched Yukon's offer. Accept.
  13. Nice write up. Interesting to see some former teammates in Ottawa being successful in the big league. Also nice to see some stats as I dont follow the VHL yet. Keep up the good work and good luck with the All-Star events. only complaint would be lack of photos or logos but still, content is good
  14. Not sure if serious. Either way, this is great and not just thrown together (it would appear) nice to see some effort put into something like this.
  15. 6 unless otherwise specified.
  16. nice write up. Didn't realize this was a media spot so may as well review it while I'm here. Didn't see any errors grammatical or otherwise. Only issue I saw was that I wasn't mentioned lol also I'm sucker for player pics as opposed to the team logo especially since these guys are being recognized for personal performance. keep up the good work, man
  17. do send downs get any love during the all star festivities?
  18. I remember struggling no matter how much TPE I put into different attributes. Keep up the hard work and you'll get better. Nice job with the write up. No grammar errors that I noticed, 585 word count, everything looks good to me. Keep it up!
  19. Brampton accepts. Watch out for me season 49, guys.
  20. I did, not heavily but enough lol
  21. You can add/change colors on my wrestler as often as you want. nice job on this write up, man. Thanks for all your hard work.
  22. How is the draft tonight with no player list released?
  23. Am I missing the list of who made the All-Star game?
  24. Latino in the News: 4th Edition It’s been a while since we caught up with Felipe Rodriguez, now of the Saskatoon Wild. Last time we spoke to him it was right after the previous season had ended. Now we’re about 50 games in to the new season. Today we are speaking to him about the points race he had once led. Now, he has been passed by fellow defenseman Black Velvet and teammate Sir William Covington III. This is what he had to say about the current points race: “It’s all friendly competition. It was nice to have the lead while it lasted and I truly thought I had a chance to maintain the lead. It’s looking like Black Velvet might run away with it though. He had a pretty nasty hat-trick streak that just ended a few games back. I think, though, that I’ve taken a step back scoring-wise now that Sir William Covington III has taken second place in the race. I has allowed me to focus on the defensive side of things a bit more. I play my heart out week in and week out and I think my shot block totals are a good indicator of that. Do I wish I was leading the league in points still? Yes. Do I think I can regain that lead? It would be a long shot, but I’ve been wrong before. All of this is not to say that Black Velvet and Covington aren’t deserving of the points lead, they most certainly are, but with this being my last year in the VHLM, I was kind of hoping to lead the league. I still think I can take home some hardware come season’s end with the campaign I’ve put together so far. Last season I had 55 points in 66 games. So far this year, through 50 games, I’ve already put up 90 points. I couldn’t be more happy with what I’ve done so far in points. I think some may call this a cop out or say I’m just saying this because of the current situation, but the stat I’m most excited about is the 126 blocked shots this season. I’m 20 blocks ahead of second place and I hope to keep that pace up more so than the scoring pace.” Keep in mind, Black Velvet’s point lead is impressive on its own but taking into consideration the fact that Yukon has played two less games than other teams makes it even more impressive. Despite two less games, Velvet has lead the Yukon Rush to 33 wins, tied for the most wins of any team with the Ottawa Lynx. Meanwhile, Covington and Rodriguez’s team, the Saskatoon Wild, is sitting in second with 31 wins. We also asked him what he expected the Wild to do the rest of the season and here is his response: “Well, we’re currently in third place. I know Brampton isn’t going to be making a run at the end as they’ve traded away pretty much all players for picks already. I think with our improved goalie play lately, we can definitely take it to Ottawa and Yukon if we met them in the post season. We’ve won our last three games against Ottawa. Yukon, we haven’t been very successful against as of late but that may have been around the time of Velvet’s hat-trick streak. Now that he’s come back down to earth, relatively speaking of course, I think it’s a pretty even playing field. “ Interviewer: "What do you think of all the All-Star Week commotion?" Felipe: "It's nice to be recognized and it's also nice to have everything in the middle of the season like it is in several other leagues. I'm not sure where I stack up in the whole thing though. I think I'll be involved in some capacity but with me being a VHL send-down, I'm not completely sure. Even so, I'll be there cheering on my fellow players, regardless of whether or not I'm involved. I know I think I should be in the game but I don't know who is in control of the voting." Interviewer: “Thank you very much, Felipe. Thanks for taking the time to chat with us. Let’s not wait so long for next time.” Felipe: “You’re very welcome, don’t be strangers.”
