  1. Good for you Bana! It’s a nasty habit that can cause so many different issues down the line. You’re doing the right thing, stay strong and lean on your girlfriend and support system!
  2. Warped Tour 2004 at the former Tweeter Center in Camden was the best show I have ever been to, also went when they were in Hershey. An absolutely incredibly lineup, including a huge list of my favorites: Acceptance, Avenged Sevenfold, Coheed and Cambria, FOB, From First to Last, Good Charlotte, Matchbook Romance, My Chemical Romance, New Found Glory (My favorite band), Rise Against, Senses Fail, Silverstein, Simple Plan, Story of the Year, Sugarcult, Taking Back Sunday, underOATH, The Used, Yellowcard. I was in freaking heaven. Hawthorne Heights & Senses Fail 2021 at the Electric Factory in Philly was an awesome show. Two of my favorite bands since the early 2000's still had the same energy live 10 years later. Paramore and New Found Glory at the Honda Civic Tour in 2010 was a great one also. Lil Wayne vs Drake at Susquehanna Bank Center (formally Tweeter Center, then BB&T Pavilion) the same year also very good.
  3. S84 marks the start a of a new era! New management, a fresh new wave of players, and a new season on the horizon. I posted up a poll for the team to vote who they thought was worthy in being in the S84 Vasteras leadership circle, and their say has been taken heavily into the decisions here. Without further ado I present to you the S84 Vasteras Iron Eagles Captains! [C] Captain: Dogwood Maple (@dogwoodmaple) We are honored to have Dogwood Maple represent Vasteras as the team captain this season! Not only was Dogwood my first draft selection in the S84 draft, he was also tied for the most votes to be a team captain. Maple's hard work on a weekly basis has made him one of the best S84 draftees period, but also one of the most underrated because of the depth of the class. A proven winner as a fresh Founder Cup champion, we look forward to having him represent the team in the locker room, and outside of it. [A] Alternate Captain: Phoebe Bridgers ( @GrittyIsKing) The reigning S83 VHLE MVP, we are so honored to have Bridgers back. There was no question Bridgers was going to make the leadership circle regardless. It is great to have Gritty back and at it, and we are hoping Bridgers can put up similar if not better numbers than last year's MVP year. Bridgers also tore up the M and was a vocal member of the Houston Bulls championship bound team while tallying 100+ points. [A] Alternate Captain: Molly the Cat ( @JCarson) Molly the Cat has quickly gotten a rep in the VHL since joining the league for S84. Molly had the most points in the VHLM playoffs and fell just short of a Founders Cup. Molly the Cat is one of, if not the most vocal member of the Iron Eagles in the locker room. There is no doubt that deserves a leadership role, and the team agreed in the voting. We are so glad to have you on Vasteras, not only for what Molly the Cat will produce, but for the much needed leadership that will be provided for the team. Congratulations to Dogwood Maple, Phoebe Bridgers and Molly the Cat on joining the S84 Vasteras leadership circle! May you lead the Iron Eagles to another final, except we will change the ending this time. VASTERAS VASTERAS VASTERAS!
  4. G - Bubbles Utonium @MubbleFubblesbring it home Mubbles!
  5. Hopefully Lavelle can actually put it in the back of the net this season to help out this great cause!
  6. Booberry was already selected. Marner has been added to your squad. Pick your goaltender whenever you get the chance buddy! @kelviis up as well.
  7. Ah you are quick! Updated. Thank you for being on top of it.
  8. Hey Greg, Reylynn was picked by FrostBeard already. Papa Emeritus has been added to your squad. Re-select your final pick whenever you can! @Moonmake your final two selections as soon as you're able to as well!
  9. So to be clear, 30 is the cutoff then right? And then grandfathered in every year after?

  13. What it will mainly do is create unnecessary travel to the closest state that allows it. Getting something like this done is expensive enough on it's own, now they are expecting people to tack on travel expenses on top of it. And the people who cannot afford to do so will look for the more dangerous, route out of desperation. Pro Choice does NOT mean Pro Abortion and I have not been able to stress this enough to some people I have discussed about this. My wife and I have two children of our own, we personally would not abort a pregnancy. But we both support someone's RIGHT to do so 110%. Birth control (condoms, the pill, IUD etc.) is NOT 100%. There is still a small percentage you can get pregnant and have an unwanted or unsustainable pregnancy on your hands. You're telling me as a teenager, or even an adult you should be chastised because you got caught up in a moment and had unprotected sex once and that led to this? That should define your life? I am sorry but I can't wrap my head around that. Also what is not talked about enough, what about people in an abusive relationship who are not allowed to have birth control and they have to birth children with an abusive piece of shit? This happens so much more often than people realize until they can get out of that relationship. We have seen time, and time again it is not easy to get out of these sort of things. It does not hurt you, it does not impact your life why do you give a single fuck? You would never know. We clearly do not give a shit about these children once they are here either. Look at the state of our foster system, our children in poverty, the school shootings where ELEMENTARY SCHOOL kids are getting killed, and the formula shortage that has not been declared a national emergency. If you claim you are doing this because you actually give a shit about children's lives, fucking do something to actually show it.
  14. So sorry for your loss Bek, may she rest in peace. Also appreciate the heads up!
  15. Considering how Lavelle's rookie season went
  16. Vasteras Iron Eagles Press Conference - Week Ending July 3rd Answer 3 for 1 TPE or Answer 6 for 2 TPE 1. The season starts in 2 days, how are you feeling? 2. If your player were to have a pregame ritual what would it be? 3. What is the song that would play in the arena as your player entered for warmups? 4. What has been the most important attribute to update for your player's build? 5. What brand hockey stick would your player have? 6. What should the next city be to have a VHL team?
  17. DC was put under a fascinating microscope in S83, as they had a a slew of changes and looking nothing like their S82 selves. Defenseman Ryan Vidot changed over to center to help jumpstart the offense. The Dragons then went out and acquired 3 defensive stars in Tui Sova in free agency, Corey Kitson in a deal with Vancouver, and finally trading for the one and only Poopy Peepants. DC also managed to pull in sniper Taylor Mourning in free agency to lead the DC offensive charge. Rookie Ronan Lavelle was set to make his VHL debut after spending the season before in the VHLE. And rookie goaltender Bubbles Utonium would take the reigns in between the pipes to hold down the DC fort. The Dragons were expected to be a middle of the road wild card playoff team. The Dragons were just that, but underperformed and got swept out 3-0 by the Chicago Phoenix in what many thought DC would win, or at least expected a tight series. The Dragons Achilles heel in S83 proved to me lack of offensive depth. Aside from their top line of Lavelle-Vidot-Mourning, there was no one they could count on. Even when they split up the lines to try to put talent elsewhere in the lineup, it could not recharge the offense. DC only had two players averaging at least a point per game in Mourning and Vidot. Sova shook off early season struggles, and rookie Ronan Lavelle just could never get it going. Poopy Peepants however managed to score a new career high in goals with 14! Rookie Bubbles Utonium put up an impressibe 2.73 GAA, and .916 save % in their rookie year. Once again the tides have changed for DC heading in S84, and the expectations are high. But why are they so high? Revamped Offense After getting swept out of the playoffs by their rivals, GM Eno Rama knew the offense had to be revamped. DC started the offseason off with a splash and made a deal for Moscow star forward Duncan Idaho in exchange for a slew of picks including DC's S84 2nd (Otis Boudreaux), S85 2nd, S86 4th, and forward Brian Schmigel. Idaho has shreded the league during his 7 season career, the last 4 seasons in particular. Over the past 4 seasons, Idaho has scored at least 103+ points and 52+ goals during all of those seasons. DC went to the right guy to solve their offensive issues. The only downside is Idaho's career is coming to an end, so DC will need to take advantage of this small window and go all in for the hardware at the end. Eno Rama has said the plan is to split Idaho, and Mourning in order to balance out the offensive firepower. It looks like Idaho will be playing with Ronan Lavelle who will looking for a huge bounce back sophomore season. Lavelle had an underwhelming S83 campaign registering only 40 points, and 14 goals after the expectations were high. Lavelle now has every chance to succeed playing with the league's finest. You could not ask for more. It looks like on the split end, the Vidot-Mourning connection will return. Both had success last season as DC's PPG players. Mourning will look to get back to his top 5 goal scoring ways. The Dragons have also called up Daniel Clarke, fresh out of Cologne to play a role in the offense. Clarke is ecstatic about the opportunity and will look to chip in as a supporting member of the loaded first two DC lines. Needing a 6th forward, DC found another support tole forward who fits their budget. DC acquired forward Benjamin Franklin Chang from HC Davos for an S86 DC 3rd rounder. Chang will look for a successful rookie campaign after a successful season with Vasteras down in the VHLE. Fun fact: Chang and Ronan Lavelle were line mates for the Mexico City Kings in the VHLM during the S81 season. Defensive Maintenance The Dragons will be bringing back the elite presence of Tui Sova, Corey Kitson and Poopy Peepants. The team lost the veteran presence of Frank Funk Jr to retirement, but he will be replaced by rookie Baxter Arcanum. The team has high expectations for the young defenseman who was apart of the VHLE champion Bratislava Watchmen squad. We will have to see how Eno Rama decides to pair the defensemen. Sova and Kitson started to wheel and deal offensively last season. After starting the season off slugging, Sova found his groove and almost caught up to being a PPG defenseman again. With the additions to the offense, Sova should thrive. The DC power play will look deadly with Sova at the points and Idaho now on the team's top unit. Corey Kitson will look to bring back his solid two way play, which was shown in his +/- rating and production on the scoresheet. Peepants more than doubled his previous goal total, but had a significant dive in his hit total in S83. Is Peepants becoming more of an offensive presence than gritty goon? We will have to see how the always interesting built Peepants does in S84, as you just never know. Could he hit 20 goals? More Experience Now in Between the Pipes Another big question for the Dragons in S84 is can goaltender Bubbles Utonium take the next step towards being an elite goaltender in the VHL? Their rookie statistics suggest they absolutely have the potential for it. Meanwhile 2.73 GAA and .916 save % is a very respectful rookie campaign, the expectation will be to improve these numbers and keep the Dragons in games they may be getting outworked. Utonium did this on multiple occasions in S83, as the Dragons got badly outshot, but the score was close due to their goaltender. It is suggested DC let this happen maybe too often in S83 and wore their goaltender down. Utonium is refreshed and ready to take on the task. They will be relying on the steady defense in front of them to help bail them out when needed. If Utonium can post up some top goaltender numbers, DC's chances of reaching the high expectation of being the North American Conference representative could be realistic. Faith in Bubbles is absolutely there, they have what it takes. Word Count: 1057 Claim for Weeks Ending: 7/3, 7/10

  22. I am so sorry you, and anyone else who will be impacted by this has to go through this. I myself am very angry, and I have been since they leaked this a few weeks ago. This is not progress, this is what you call regression. I have always looked at it as even if you personally would not get an abortion, why would you not support someone's right to if they need it? It is not impacting your life in the slightest. I fear for my daughter's future and what she may have to grow up in. I feel so deeply for my wife. Even though we are in the Northeast and our states will still allow abortions, it gives no peace of mind. I can't believe we are still in 2022 and still fighting social issues like this. An old, backwards way of thinking is what this is. I do not understand how these people do not understand this doesn't stop abortion, it makes them more dangerous and makes people more desperate. If you, or anyone here is in need to talk, my DMs are always open. You are not alone, and many feel the same way you do fishy and rightfully so.
