  1. Absolutely honored to be a part of the captain's this season! Let's go for the repeat!!!! LET'S GO SASKY!!!
  2. Dan Baillie Jr. Height: 6'4" Weight: 225 Drafted: 21st Overall As we get ready for the upcoming seasons, with the draft now in the rearview mirror. I thought I would talk about my draft experience this time around. First of all, let me just say that I have no regrets from season 72. If I had to be on a third line all season to win a championship every year, I would do it again in an absolute heart beat. I was lucky enough to play with some total beasts. Not only that but if you look at the playoff stats, we as a whole team were going off. Well, after a less than stellar statistical regular season as a part of the S72 Founders Cup champions Saskatoon Wild. I found myself slipping out of the first round of the draft. Granted, numbers don't lie. Statistically DBJ had a mediocre season if you look at it on paper. If you take into account that he spent the majority of the season on the 3rd line things start to look a lot more sunny. On to the draft. I was hoping to be drafted by Prague #15 but they decide to go with Andre Lebastard. Honestly I think they made the right decision after seeing how everything turned out. With the first round out of the way. I was eyeing that first pick of the second round because I knew the teams after were likely to go in a different directions. With Prague on the board I was sure to be picked there. To go back just a bit; I had thoughts about going somewhere in the back half of the first round. Truthfully I more or less convinced myself (I should say) of this being the case. Now honestly, I was a bit rattled at first because the second round started and I still hadn't been drafted. There was even talk about this during the live draft. I knew I was not the only who thought it was a bit strange. But all teams have their own strategy and I do understand that. Well that pick (after some personal anguish) and what felt like an eternity in time. Gets traded to Warsaw in a package that saw them jump to 17 and Prague move down to 21. Finally my name gets called. With the twenty first pick in the season 73 VHL draft, Dan Baillie Jr is now a member of the Prague Phantoms! What started as a stressful experience turned into relief from being drafted by one of the teams I'd hoped would draft me. I couldn't be happier to be a part of this team. I plan to do everything I can to help The Phantoms become a successful team for a long time. I have a lot of work to do here. But, I'll be capped out when the season starts. I have no doubt in my mind that Dan Baillie Jr will be as good or more realistically even better than his father. The future is looking very bright for Prague and I can see much Continental Cup success with this squad. I look forward to proving everyone wrong who decided to pass on me! 538 words.
  3. Cheers to you @Kyle great teammate and community member. I wish you best of luck on you with your next player! Hopefully we'll get the chance to work together again!!!!
  4. No worries! I had wondered myself if that's why I dropped so much lol. Happy to be in Prague though!
  5. I'm proud to have even got 44 points playing like 10-14 minutes a game on an absolutely stacked roster often on the 3rd line haha.
  6. Happy birthday VHL!!!!! 9/11 it's definitely my biggest memory from when I was 13. My history teacher had a husband who was a pilot and seeing her freak out was pretty scary. (He was safe) I definitely feel like we had to continue going to class though. Also playing a lot of Tony Hawk pro skater 2. Everything else is pretty hazy lol.
  7. 1. London absolutely killed it. I can see them sneaking into the playoffs based off the expansion draft alone. 2.i think we definitely still have a good chance of the repeat. We have have top replacements. 3. I might be biased but I absolutely think we probably have the best chance in a long long time. 4. I will be in the draft. I'm thinking I'll be in the back side of the first round. That's what I'm working for anyways. 5. I think gryfalcon is going to be a vhl beast. Some team is going be very lucky to have him. 6. They have a lot to look forward to next year. After the upcoming season mind you. Because that's Saskatoon's next goal.
  8. Wow what a run!!!!! LET'S GO SASKY!!!! you're all Adonis'. What a season, what a team! Take it all in, we earned this. Good series Mexico city, congrats on a great season as well. See you all in the V! Shoutout to @McWolf for putting together one hell of a team
  9. 1. Every line firing on all cylinders. This will need to be a serious depth win. 2. It's hard try put these things into words. It was unreal. Just when you think you're prepared for things like this, you so easily feel like a kid again. 3. Tough call. You know I would love to see Canada take that championship home. But, Riga is no joke! I see them taking it. 4. Komo is a beast. He's running away with that mvp. But honestly everyone is stepping up. I couldn't ask for more dedicated teammates. 5. One I always run with while winning I don't wash my under gear. So I'm sure you can guess how everything is smelling at point. 6. Staying loose and having a laugh with each other. But also long hours on the ice and in the film room. We hold each other accountable for how prepared we are.
  10. Let's go sasky!!!!!!! Great series philly! Genuinely was worried there. You have hell of a team
  11. 1. Well, we've won the series now. With the depth we have that's a huge benefit to the momentum. Strength up and down the lineup. 2. It's crazy! But anything can happen in the M. They've clearly put together a great team and hit some chemistry at the right time. 3. Komarov has been an absolute beast so far. I like him to keep that pace. 4. I'd like to see black and green. 5. A Viper or another kind of predatory snake would a cool option. Which would also go with black and green 6. I slappa da bass quite well!
  12. 1. Well making sure everyone's doing their job all lines are firing, making the most of what you can in the amount of ice time. Depth is solid if we can consistent, teams are in trouble. 2. Stay in the film room looking at things I do that I can change to make more impact. Of course spending more time in the gym. Gotta get that strength up. 3. Moncton and Barrie in the East. As well Winnipeg and maybe Portland in the West just to name a few. Would be cool places to play. 4. That's a tough question because everyone's idea of quality is different. But I guess for myself I'd pick something like trailer park boys or the league. 5. Bauer or Warrior. It was Easton but it's damn near impossible to find now. I have to love the feel of it or it can be distracting to use/wear. 6. Honestly I don't really watch much of the Olympics other than hockey. Maybe the 100m in the summer.
