Calgary will suck.... the life out of the Meute and their 2nd rate squad! @Velevra Dragomir might have been a step ahead of Arroyo for 5'11" S60 Left Wings for awhile, but the kid gloves are off now, and in a few years it won't be Veran that's remembered as the top of this class! Get ready to get your ass kicked in another playoff series this season!

@Beaviss Quebec City sucks, they'll forever be in Calgary's shadow you punk! Letting you get to game 7 was just to make it that much more gut-wrenching for you when you lost! This is where I would start chanting "U.S.A! U.S.A!" but both teams are in Canada so it doesn't really work.

This might be the worst day in New York sports since Reggie Miller.

I don't think the lines made it into the sim yet either ? Basically toying with the rest of the league rn lol.

I wouldn't mind seeing at least a test with one of the newer engines that expand upon the defensive stats and may be more realistic. If something like having 99s in stats becomes an issue one way or another, you could possibly tinker with the scale a bit and cap everyone at like 90-95 or something that doesn't break the sim in half. I wouldn't rush into changes or anything but if the newer versions can provide a better overall experience, it would be worth exploring our options, even if it might require some outside the box thinking.

Championship Hangover? We're four games into the season, so let's start to panic! The reigning champion Calgary Wranglers, who have had the best record two seasons in a row, have stumbled out the gate, going just 1-3 against the likes of Toronto, Helsinki, and HC Davos. Of those teams, only Toronto was really destined to make noise this season. So what's going on? Well it appears that Calgary management is tired of winning the regular season only to run out of gas in the playoffs. Last season's championship went all the way to game 7 (with some added controversy during Calgary's game 2 win), as did the previous season's where the Wranglers lost. There's hope that limiting their players' minutes early in the season will keep them fresh over the long run, but the team isn't buying it. Forward Oyorra Arroyo was particularly critical of the approach. "I understand the want for limiting regular season minutes, but when your two best wings are averaging less than 20 minutes a game, you aren't gonna be in the playoffs to enjoy that extra rest! Players that barely deserve to be on the team, let alone on the ice are seeing long minutes, and they're putting us into holes we can't get out of." Currently Arroyo is second on the team with 2 goals (both coming in their lone win of their season), and he leads the team with a +4 despite averaging just 19.21 minutes a game.

I know Bash tends to get busy randomly at times so he probably just missed it. It looks like they're right on the index now so I'm ready to go on a vengeance tear! EDIT: Oh, no they aren't. @Bushito The link at the top still goes to S62.

He is a man of few words. I believe I first used this name years ago when I was trying to be secretive in a new Madden league and be a late round steal, and it's just kinda went back to it when I came back to sim leagues last year because I forgot the old name I used. Not likely, this is the first time I've done this that I remember and it's confusing myself half the time. I think my career has been pretty good so far. I'm not putting up the kinds of points that some of the recent rookies have but I did pretty well last season, and I can't complain about two Victory Cups and a Continental Cup in just three seasons, especially after a Founder's Cup in my one VHLM season. Let's see how it goes. I'm not entirely sure what's going on with them but I got $2 million out of it. Actually that reminds me I should look at the store and figure out what's even worth spending my money on. Well I don't know if I'll ever be an MVP caliber player, but I do hope to sneak onto an all star/All VHL team in the future. I'll always take more cups on the trophy case as well. Ability-wise I'm gonna continue to push Puck Handling and Defense to the limit to match Scoring. I'm intrigued with the new trend of ignoring Passing entirely and still being a top scorer. Especially with the way Defense tends to increase point totals and the high scoring games we've been seeing recently, I wonder if there's some weird thing in the sim's code where Defense and Passing might have been flipped in some situations. I'm not sure how much more points I'd put into Skating or Passing anyway since that would start eating into the Scoring ratio but it is fascinating how many points people are racking up with no passing. @BarzalGoat had two between your picks but it's been well past 12 hours at this point.

Maybe we'd be doing better if I wasn't getting only 16 minutes ? Actually with all the bots I'm guessing he just didn't get lines in for the start of the season on time.

The real first game of the season.

@Hybrid1486 1.) How did it feel going all the way to the championship your rookie season? 2.) Do you think you guys can seal the deal next season? 3.) Do you expect to receive more playing time next season? 4.) What part of your game are you working on the most this off-season? 5.) Which of your teammates is most annoying in the locker room? 6.) What's your power meal before a game?

I'm glad that I got to the 100 point plateau this season and think I'm trending in the right direction. There's other youngsters putting up more points but they aren't the ones with a cup win now. Honestly more relief than excitement. I might have KGR'd losing two years in a row in 7 despite having the best team. I haven't been following the off-season moves much but I hear a lot of buzz coming out of Toronto over some trades or something. Quebec City and Riga are also young teams on the up and up that might pose a threat. Of course, though that wasn't a challenge ? The sooner the better! Arroyo is looking for the most outside the box pitch. Get creative!

Edwin Preencarnacion Bad luck I got first pick on a work night during a thunder storm, my fault though for not checking in all day Saturday.

2 goals, 1 assist, and I got the shit kicked out of me. 10/10 would win a championship again.
