  1. Just gonna throw in my two cents:

     

    Pretty much every skater should have high Defense, even if you're making an offensively-minded player. I like to think of it more as "positioning" than defense, because it seems to affect nearly everything. Also, I don't believe it influences the decision making formula enough to skew a sniper away from shooting the puck, so that's not really a reason to leave it low.

     

    Also, I suggest that Snipers still get their passing up to ~75-80, so as to not be a liability when it comes to possession. No matter how much you rig the decision making formula to make you shoot more, you're never going to stop passing. And if you leave it really low, you're going to turn over the puck a LOT.

    I like how the SBA does it - your NCAA seasons don't count toward your players "age," but there's a hard cap of 199 TPE. If you go over 199 or finish your fourth season, you're auto-entered into the upcoming draft.
