Had to give them some hope

I could've sure, but I didn't need to because I'd just claim it from contract money (not to mention carryover money from previous players which is stupid). What you are saying though is people shouldn't be lazy, but literally the SHL system brought me to be lazy over there haha
-
But then the other stuff. You add the other stuff which creates no discussion and you have yourself an average of 11 TPE per week just for 150 words + a few 2 word posts/copy and paste.
-
I just mentioned I wrote nothing and was claiming TPE every week from training. I literally never had to check the discussion or media areas.
-
Because their system is the complete opposite of what you've been so heavily against in the past. It's literally the lazy approach and you yourself said you hate the lazy approach. So basically you want the VHL to become the SHL PT system, you also hate people being lazy. Those two things contradict each other.
-
Here he goes again off the deep end. Back to the discussion about the system boys
-
Oh you mean how you told @Beketov you'd leave if banned? Yeah sure.
-
By the way having public opinion vote on an A or B poll is a way to find majority opinion. That's common knowledge haha
-
You're right it isn't, but what system do you suggest would? Surely you won't say the SHL system because I just listed what exactly they do and what it doesn't do for discussion.
-
Well the other side of it just is a downward spiral to keep losing more members though. So I don't think you can really say this will make the league go further in the hole. Let's not forget that if we adopted the SHL ways of doing things, you'll most likely lose more members (myself included).
-
The best way to decide whether people agree or disagree with a thought? Uh...yeah it is. If you post a poll saying "Doritos or Lays?" and 40 people vote in favour of Doritos and 4 vote for Lays, thats a clear indication that Doritos is favoured by everyone who voted. That's common sense
-
So essentially you write PT for 3 TPE (which never have discussion in the first place), predictions which doesnt have discussion, AC which doesnt have discussion and Training which also doesn't. So essentially nothing you do weekly for TPE in the SHL sparks discussion? That doesn't strike me as a step in the right direction.
-
Well majority ruling on something also means that more minds think it works. Majority is not a full proof way, but its the best way we have in leagues to decide things. It's like a survey
-
When leaders from one sim league (who are committed discussion leaders as well) state their interest in a sim leagues goal (not just a hockey sim league), we should listen.
-
Because in real life being on the third line is an active role. In the VHL it means you are less minutes and are putting your efforts to waste in a sense. There is no badge of honour in the VHL for being on a third line. You're here for fun, not to stake claim to the "best agitator role".
-
Which was my point, it wasn't 50/50. If a majority agrees it will most likely get more than one look. You just happen to be the side that disagrees. At the same time though, if we continue on with our current base the way it is, we will shut down. Change is good, something people seem to claim we dont do.
-
It is a lot easier in regards to work ethic over there though. I didn't do any writing or anything for the past 6-7 years of my players career. Just posted in activity checks and claimed training from contract money. That's essentially the welfare system in which you so hotly debate all the time. So you want that over here? You want the money system for people so that they can just simply check in for 2 minutes? Don't let the roster sizes fool you about the SHL. Half the players are inactives just coasting out their 12 year careers over there. It's not like they are just miles ahead in regards to active members/roster sizes. Their system ins't 100% successful either. The difference is they have more eyes on the board and thus more discussion because of the people. You build it, they will come.
-
You act like it was 50/50 for that. Very very rarely have I seen something get introduced here with out a majority vote. In fact in the BOG if it has a 50/50 split it isn't good enough to be introduced.
-
Writing articles for money is an extra step. All that does is make it so your PT gets turned into money which gets turned into a claim for TPE. Why not skip that step and do our system where you claim for your work right away? They also have all 4 lines and I went inactive on the 4th line because I would get 6 minutes a game. If a GM doesnt like you, they can hide you in the lineup. Incorrect though. What works in the SBA works in the SBA because its a sim leagues foundation, not anything to do with basketball. Actually in the VHL you can play with 6 people, something you can do in the SBA as well.
-
We've tried to dissect the SHL's recruitment methods but it's mostly because of their reddit and shitstorms that keep people interested. I think you can compare the leagues regardless of sport because it's sim leagues. The difference between the sports is not the big deal, but the link between sim leagues is. I'm in the SBA because I enjoy sim leagues, not because of the sport. I'm honestly not that big of a Basketball fan.
-
So if this idea isn't a good idea from what you said. What is your resolution to finding more members? As the Recruitment Leader I'm sure @KGR @Beaviss @bgreene21 and I would love to have your ideas for ways to bring in people interested in Sim Leagues.

So what you're saying is we need more players for our lines right? Well here is the chance to get some.
