Uhtred finished his first season in the VHLM as a founders cup champion with the Saskatoon Wild. Although he was just a role player on a stacked team with stars like Edwin the Encarnacion and Danny DeYetto he still made some contributions to the team. Uhtred scored 4 goals during the playoffs but half of those were game winners. Uhtred joined the wild as a free agent midway through the season. He played 24 games during the regular season posting up 8 goals and 4 assists for a 0.5 ppg. He continued to work on his game throughout the year and come playoff time his production ballooned to 4 goals and 7 assists in 14 games to up his points per game on the playoffs to 0.785. Uhtred's most proud moment of the playoffs was scoring the game winner after getting his ass handed to him in a fight the previous game. "getting my ass kicked in that game was embarrassing, no one wants to be beaten up in front of the world. Scoring the game winner the following game was a great way to atone for that moment said uhtred. Now that season one of Uhtred's career is over he is now looking forward to finding out where he will be playing in the VHLM next season. "I love the guys we have here in Saskatoon and wish I could return to the team next year but I'll be happy and give whoever drafts me the complete effort that helped make this season a success. I knew when signing as a free agent that it would be the last time for awhile that I got to choose where I wanted to play. I hope to have a successful season next year that will end in a dream come true in being drafted for the VHL. Since I have no control over the quality of the team I play for for awhile now I knew I wanted to sign with a contender last season. As soon as the wild made me an offer I didn't hesitate and immediately told them I'm in. I was willing to play a small role to win the founders cup as you never know how many chances you'll get in your career. There are players who go a whole career without even a finals appearance let one a championship. There are elite players in sports around the world who don't get to taste the sweetness of a championship. I am over the moon to have done that this year. I hope this is the beginning of many appearances but I know that it may not happen and I'm just enjoying being a champion now. Uhtred will now return back to Bebbanburg to recoprate and train for the next season. He plans to unwind and catchup with some friends he hasn't seen for a while before starting his training regime. I am going to incorporate some training techniques used by knights for hundreds of years at the castle. I love playing hockey but Uhtred's have been warriors for centuries and this is just one way I can connect with my ancestors.

1. Moscow will be playing Helsinki in round 1 of the S69 playoffs. Who's your favourite player on Helsinki and why? I'd say Sidney Crosby as he's a fellow dman I played with while with Helsinki. 2. How many games do you think the Moscow / Helsinki series goes? I'd say 6 but 7 wouldn't surprised me. 3. Now that the regular season is over, which NA team would you like to see make it to the finals and why? New York as they are a former team of mine so if we don't win they may as well. 4. The VHL recently announced a new annual charity drive. This year we are donating to Make-A-Wish. Do you know any other good charities the VHL can use in years to come? I'd go with Alzheimer's or the cancer foundation as I have family inflicted with those diseases. 5. Smitty is battling to hold onto the point lead for defencemen with 1 game to go. Give him some good encouragement. Since I'm late to the party my words are for him to kick ass in the playoffs and become the MVP while leading us to a championship. 6. Playoff Hype!! Do you have any VHL Playoff superstitions? I personally will not wash my genitals until the Menace are eliminated or cup winners No I don't believe in that shit. So many superstitious Italians so not believing is rare. So many Sicilian superstitions, they are the craziest lol. -

According to yourdictionary.com and unsung hero is defined as "One who does great deeds but receives little or no recognition for them.". Based on the this definition Moscow GM Vladimir Pavlov @Victor is an unsung hero. Pavlov rescued defenseman Paolo Nano from a terrible contract situation that lead him to serious depression. This act of kindness has not been recognized until now. Nano had signed with New York as a free agent but then things didn't workout financially and the contract was voided. As soon as that happened Vladimir stepped in an offered Nano a safe and familiar landing spot after the stressful experience. If not for Vladimir Nano's career may have ended as he was extremely depressed from the situation. "Vladimir is definitely a hero in my eyes. I dont know what I would've done without his help. I'd most likely have been out of hockey and without hockey I can't say what my life would be like. Depression is a terrible thing and I'm just grateful that he was able to help me break out of that.". He gave me a reason and a purpose to wake up in the morning and for that I will be forever grateful.

1. Do you like the VHL's 12 days of Christmas? Do you think you'll post in every daily thread? Yes I love free TPE, who doesnt. 2. What are you hoping to get as a gift this Christmas irl? Probably Wine or some other alcohol. Last year my wife got me a beer supscription where you get 12 different beers each month. She says she wont get me it again but hoping that she still does. 3. If you had to pick a Moscow teammate to get into a bar fight with, who would you pick and why? Gritty as he looks terrifying and looks like he could easily kill anyone. 4. What's the last movies you watched and how was it? I watched Alone where the Toronto Symphony Orchestra played all the music. It was amazing to see them play, It was so good. 5. How many players do you think Moscow will be sending to the S69 All-Star Game? I'd say at least 3. We have some dominant players on the team 6. Does your player need a new forum sig? If so, what render (NHL player) would you like it to be? For my new player I do but I'd wait to see who drafts him so that he can look like that team. -
There are two unsung heros for Moscow, Mark Gerber is one for being the first captain of the team. Dan Baillie is another for having played the most games for Moscow in team history. At this time he is currently the leading scorer in team history however jet jaguar is quickly catching up to him Mark Gerber @Sova Mark Gerber began his VHL career with Calgary where he was drafted 4th overall. Mark has a successful but short VHLM career of one season winning the founders cup in season 63. He got a taste for winning early in his career with that win but was not able to taste victory in the VHL as its difficult to with an expansion team. Gerber had a decent rookie season with Calgary producing a total of 24 goals and 25 assists. Moscow GM noticed marks play and decided to trade a first round pick 6th overall (Elasmobranch Fish) to acquire him. Mark immediately found a grove with Moscow in his first season putting up a career high of 93 points including 36 goals. Sadly for Mark this would turn out to be the high point in his career as has never been able to come close to reaching those heights in the following seasons. He followed up that 93 point season with a 70 point campaign. The wheels began to fall off at this point as his production fell of a cliff. Just a couple seasons after that amazing 93 point campaign he posted a meagre 54 points while 3 seasons later he managed just 28. If you combine his last 3 seasons stats together you get just a little bit more production than that glorious first campaign as a menace. Some people may say that hitting 93 points with an expansion team is not a big deal as someone needs to put up some points even on a bad team. That may be true but it doesn't change how significant his production was to the team. Those 93 points translated to mark factoring being responsible for 60% of the goals scored by Moscow that season. That's a staggering number and thats another reason mark Gerber is an unsung hero. Another interesting stat from that season is that mark managed to have a positive plus minus rating of 2 despite Moscow having a - 177 goal differential that season. Mark Gerber is an unsung hero for being the first captain in Moscow history and producing at such a high level for a couple of seasons with an expansion team. Dan Baillie @wcats Dan Baillie is a true unsung hero as he is the leading scorer in team history. His picture should be in the VHL's definition of an unsung hero. He has never been the captain of the team like Mark Gerber or Jet Jaguar but he's been an integral part of Moscow history as he's been there from the start. Dan was drafted in season 64 going 19th overall by the Riga reign. Dan was the second pick in the Moscow expansion draft and he turned out to be the best selection. As of this writing Dan has played the most games at 351 and the most points at 317. Dan has been a consistent player for the menace scoring between 60-75 points per season. He is a true unsung hero as he shows up to play every game and doesn't get the limelight or attention some other players receive. Dan doesn't have the huge peaks and valleys that Gerber has had in his career and that has enabled him to become the leading scorer. Dan is the definition of an unsung hero putting up the most points and games played in Moscow history while seemingly flying under the radar while doing so.

Uhtred 18 years old RW Uhtred's path to becoming a hockey player is different than most. When you think of sports in the UK you immediately think rugby or soccer but he fell in love with the game at a young age. Uhtred was born into a family that has been lord of bebbanburg for centuries and as the first born son he will also become a lord one day but until that day he is determined to become a great hockey player. It was the age of 7 that uhtred watched his first live hockey game when his family was in sweeden on business and decided to watch a local hockey game. Uhtred immediately loved the speed and excitement of the sport and dreamed of one day playing professional hockey. Uhtred grew up hearing stories about all the famous warriors his family produced over the years and he's determined to follow in thee foot steps as an ice warrior. Once the family retuned home from the trip to sweeden uhtred signed up for the local youth league. After his first season on the ice you could tell that uhtred had the skill to one day make his dream of becoming a hockey player a reality. When uhtred was 12 years old, hehad to move away from home to Stockholm to join the frolunda organization in order to develop his game. This reminded him of knights of olden days who would often leave home at a young age to start their training to become a knight. Sweden was the perfect fit for uhtred as the family has ties to scandanavia since the viking age. While at frolunda uhtred worked hard to improve his game quickly developing into one the top players at his age group. His last season in frolunda he lead the junior league in scoring putting up 56 points in 50 games to win the scoring title by a single point. Uhtred wants to become a great two way forward so that he can help his team at both ends of the rink. As he has been playing ng in Sweden for so long he has followed the careers of some Swedish players and he doesn't want to become like William nylander. Nylander is such a talented player but he doesn't like to play defense very often and he is sometimes a lazy player. During a recent interview after his final junior game uhtred said the following about the type of player he wants to become. "I want to develop his offensive skillset as its elite but combine that with a work ethic and attention to detail to become a great player at both ends of the rink.". Time will tell if uhtred will fulfil this goal or if he will become another player who has high expectations but is never able to reach them. With his junior career now complete uhtred has taken the next step in his hockey career by joining the league leading Saskatoon Wild where as a role player he will try to help them to win the title.

Moscow Menace Press Conference

1. Finn Davison is the newest member of the Menace! Give him a warm welcome with some advice for playing in Moscow! Good luck bro. We don't play much defence around here so you'll have to bail us oit 2. It's team photograph day, and the photographer asks you to do an action pose. What's your go-to hockey pose? Laying down on the Ice as at this point in my career I'm too old to stand. 3. The EU conference is still pretty much wide open. Who is your preference to play in round 1 between Helsinki, Riga, and Malmo? Malmo so we can crush those bastards. 4. Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen has not only been dominating on the offensive side of the puck, but he's also on the verge of leading the league in PIMs as well. Has he gone mad with power? Should Smitty slow down or keep busting heads? Keep busting heads. Guys will be scared of him and he will get the space to keep on scoring 5. Victor sent a S70 1st round pick to Davos for Davison to beef up our cup run. How likely do you think it is that the player Davos takes with that pick will be a bust? We will win the cup so that will be the last pick in round one so theres a great chance it will be a bust. 6. Are you interested in asking team presser questions one week? If so, please provide an answer to this question....... Just kidding, but if you want to do it, just @ me in the LR or PM me or something................................................... Lord of the Rings or Indiana Jones trilogy? Not a big fan of either but of the two I'd probably pick lord of the rings because of smeagle. The best trilogy would be star wars
