  2. Uhtred RW 6' 1" 205 pounds Drafted 9th Overall My Rookie season has been good so far. I have scored my first career goal and have got a few assists so far. I was honoured to be a top 10 pick and I am motivated to not become a bust. I am really enjoying playing with these guys and I hope the wins are not too far down the road. I just want to be like a sponge and emulate how our top players get ready for games. My main focus this season is to learn how to put myself in the best possible position to be successful. Expectations My expectations for this season are to score 10 goals and get 40 points. I am an offense first type player so I know that I need to be productive to earn my ice time. I want to shoot the puck as often as I can this season as the great one said “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” With that said, I want to get at least 2 shots per game which will also help my offensive development. I plan to work on my defensive game a lot this season, learning how to defend efficiently in the VHL. The other aspect of my game that I want to improve this season is my puck handling ability. As I am a physically weaker player I need to use my skating and puck handling ability to be able to get around defenders. If I am unable to deke them out than I will likely turn the puck over way too often. Reservations My concerns this season are that I will not be able to produce enough to earn ice time. After having an excellent season in the VHLM last season its gonna be hard to not be that go to Offensive player that I was last season. This season my role is significantly different and I need to have the mindset that if I work hard I will one day become a key member of this team. Until then I just need to work my ass off and develop my skills while trying to help us win games in whatever role the team wants me to perform. Another reservation I have is whether or not my lack of strength will hinder my ability in this league. I am a fast skilled type of player and hopefully I’ll be able to use my skating ability to avoid the big bruiser instead of getting murdered by them
  3. Uhtred scored his first career goal in a losing effort in game 2 of the season vs the Prague Phantoms. Uhtred’s big moment came on the power-play 32 seconds into the 3rd period. Uhtred fired a quick shot by Brick Wahl after receiving a beautiful cross ice feed from Ambrose Stark . The secondary assist on the goal went to Odin Omdahl. It's always a special moment in a player's career when he scores his first goal but Uhtred was disappointed to have lost the game. “Getting my first goal was amazing but it would have been an even greater game had we won. All the guys were happy to see me score my first and I hope they will be a lot more to come but with wins as well.” Uhtred has played 4 games thus far in his VHL career. He has posted a goal and 2 assists so far. Uhtred is an offense first type of player and he will have to produce to stay in the lineup Uhtred is loving playing for the bears but it will be even better when the team strings some wins together. “My stats have been decent so far this season but we have yet to win a game and that's all I care about. When with the Marlins last season we started slow and then went on a great run later in the season. I feel like we have some great talent on this team and if we keep playing hard the wins will come. “

  5. 8). I'll go with jet jaguar. He had an excellent season last season and he will build on that success. 21). He will play great as we will have a great season. 31). Jet Jaguar. That guys is just amazing and is one of the reasons why Moscow was successful last season. 32) I'd go with a lion. Was amazing to see them on a safari is south Africa, just wish we saw a full grown male, only saw females and a couple teenagers with a snake mane. 34) I just joined PBE. Seems like a fun league. I used to play ottp baseball so I find it interesting they use it. 35). I just love seeing how my player does and want to win my first cup with this player. I love checking to see how my team and player did every day.

  9. 1) As I didn't have a team in the VHL last season I was happy to see Moscow win as my previous player spent a majority of his career there so was happy for the guys. 6). I think we did well in the draft. Vikingstad is a great player who will be a key player one day. Hopefully my player will be able to live up to the 9th overall selection. 11). My goal is to improve my skating and puck handling ability and help the team win anyway I can. I hope to have a good rookie season. 19). I will go with boom as I answered he was a great pick earlier. 24). People need to take this more seriously. If people stay home we can return to normal faster. Working from home is weird but glad I can do it. I would have been in Disneyworld right now if everything is normal. Love to travel probably won't for a long time now
  10. Uhtred was selected ninth overall by the Seattle bears in in the season 71 VHL draft. He was drafted 2 picks earlier than the season before where he went 11th overall in the VHLM draft. Looking at the bears current roster prior to the free agency signing period Uhtred appears to be slotted into the second line. Uhtred is currently has the fourth most TPE on the wing for the bears and such is projected as a second line player at this moment. We caught up with Uhtred to get his thoughts on the becoming a bear as well as the upcoming season. I'm extremely excited about being drafted by the bears and can't wait until the season begins next week. We have some great players on this team and I can't wait to hit the ice with them. I've been working hard on my skating ability this offseason as I know I will need to be a better skater to be able to keep up on the VHL. I know there will be a big difference in the speed of the game at this level and I'm just tyring to prepare for that. I had a great season last year in the VHLM and that should give me a confidence boost for my rookie season. I just want to help my new team win some games with whatever role they want me to play.
  11. How much tpe do I claim for making a player?
  12. During the season, we seemed to have Ottawa's number, sporting a 5-1-1 record against them. Playoffs were a different story and we dropped the series in six games. Why do you think that was? I guess we were one of those teams that do well in the regular season but not as good in the playoffs. The problem we faced is that our top scorers from the season didn't do so well in that series. 2. In the regular season series, we were able to outscore the Lynx by a margin of 30-24. During the playoffs, they outscored us 23-21. What happened? We ran into a got goalie and I had a terrible series after playing great in round one. They found a way top stop our deadly offense. If we played them again it may turn different if we get a bounce here and there. 3. After eliminating us, Ottawa went on to meet the Minnesota Storm for the Founder's Cup. They made a series of it, pushing it to six games. Did you expect that or did it come as a surprise? After how well they played against us it wasn't too surprising. I don't think I expected a 7 game series but also didn't see a sweep so expected 5 or 6 games 4. What was the biggest surprise for you during the playoffs? That we didn't make to to the finals. I really expected us to make it there to battle Minnesota for 7 games en route to another cup. 5. Who should be named playoff MVP in your opinion? My vote would be for hextall as he had a dominant performance that lead to the championship. He is a major reason why they won and why they were amazing all season long 6. What are your plans for the off-season? Just to relax and get ready for my first season in the VHL and to apply my baked tpe. I am very excited to see where I get drafted tomorrow.
  13. It must have been a bittersweet moment for retired Moscow Menace defenseman Paolo Nano to see the menace win the cup. After playing many seasons with Moscow and still having many former teammates on the team Nano was proud to see them win but he's just wishing it was a season ago. "I am extremely excited and proud to be a menace alumni and to see the boys hoist the cup was definitely a great moment. The only thing that would make it better would have been doing it last season." he said. Nano spent the majority of his career with Moscow and still has a deep love for the team. The team has also given Nano an escape from reality as his native country of Italy is in a lockdown due to the coronavirus. " I spent so much time there that I will always have an emotional attachment to the team. Now that my career is over I'm now a fan again and the menace are definitely my team to watch. With Italy in a lockdown and the country in a panic Moscow's championship has given me many joyous moments these past few weeks where I can escape from the daily reality of life in the quarantine. "
  14. Congrats, wish this was last season but amazing to see you guys win.

  16. The San Diego Marlins continued the offensive dominance in their round one matchup vs yukon. The marlins swept the Rush out scoring them 30-6 in the series. Just as in the regular season the marlins once again are at the top of the leader boards with Uhtred leading the league at 14 points. Ben storm who conveniently plays for Minnesota Storm breaks up the marlins party at the top of the leaderboard as 5 of the top 6 scorers are marlins and 7 of the top 10. The marlins either lead or have a joint lead at all the major offensive stats. We will see if this offensive performance continues vs the Lynx and the chances are pretty good considering the teams regular season output. The Marlins will now have a much tougher test against the Ottawa Lynx. The marlins will open as slight favourites as they finished 3 points ahead of the Lynx. The player the marlins will need to aware of is Ola Vikingstad who is 8rh in scoring during the playoffs while he ended the regular season in 9th. Vikingstad was the most hit player in the first round and it will be fascinating to see if that continues going up against the regular season hit champion Thomas Landy II.
  17. 1. We cruised through the first round of the playoffs, sweeping Yukon. How bad do you feel for MexicanCow? It sucks for him but I enjoyed it. I had a great series offensively and hope to continue that in round 2 2. We outscored Yukon 30-7 in the opening round. Was this as expected or did it come as a bit of a surprise? No, it was expected. If you look at how the season went for us we beat up on a lot of the lower teams including Yukon. Now we need to do the same to the tougher competition 3. We will play Ottawa in the second round with a trip to the finals on the line. This will be a much tougher test. What can we do to ensure that we are the ones making that trip? We just have to keep what we've been doing all season and generate a ton of offensive. We have so many players who can put the puck in the net on this team and we can overwhelm teams with our talent. If one line has a bit of an off night the other line kicks ass. 4. The other semifinal series features Minnesota and Houston. Minnesota is heavily favoured. Will they make quick work of Houston or do you expect a longer series? I Think Minnesota will end up winning the series but it won't be an easy one. Houston added some depth at the end of the season and that could help with extend the series but I don't think it will put them on top. 5. Uhtred and Roque Davis are 1-2 in playoff points with Oferson, Bennett and Landry all in double digits as well. Is our offensive firepower our biggest weapon? Yes I'd say our offense is our biggest weapon. We had the top 5 scorers in the league so that would show its our top weapon. We aren't just a one line team either and if they shit down one line the other makes them pay. 6. We also have 3 of the top 4 goal scorers in the playoffs courtesy of Oferson, Davis and Landry. How will this balanced scoring attack help us go deeper into the playoffs? It will be the key to us going the distance. It's hard to defend us when we have such elite offensive talent on the ice at all times. We can wear teams out by coming at them all game long.

  19. Jet Jaguar is future hall of famer. Jet Jaguar was the 10th player selected in the season 66 draft yet he's become the most dominant player of the class. Jaguar won the scoring title this season and lead the Moscow Menace to thier best regular season finish in franchise history. Jaguar has scored 158 goals and has 247 assists in his career so far. His 405 points place him as the leading scorer in his draft year and also sets the franchise scoring record for the menace. Jaguar has amassed over 90 points twice so far including his rookie year where he put up 90 points. Jaguar has an excellent chance to add a cup to his Hall of fame resume this season as Moscow is definitely one of the favorites to win it all. Moscow will be hoping that he can lead them to multiple cups before his career is all said and done. This year's scoring title could be the first of a bunch of awards in his career and that will only add to his amazing hall of fame worthy resume so far. @gorlab
