With season 63's VHLM dispersal draft less than 24 hours away; Aces management are ready to build the hockey club into yet another strong contender. Vegas requires players in every position and will very likely require immediate free agency signings following the draft in order to fill their organizational needs. For the 2nd season in a row, Vegas enters the draft will a new management duo. Their AGM from S62 having been recently promoted to the GM role will have his first taste of the drafting experience. A new AGM is also in town; eager and excited to do everything he can to bring Vegas fans the continued success it deserves. While Vegas does not possess a first round draft pick they do own a very early 2nd rounder and will make the most of their opportunity at the draft podium. The VHLM is coming off of one of its most exciting seasons filled will devoted recruits and increased activity and notoriety. Season 63 brings a new flood of recruits and a sense of continual interest and league participation. Excitement is in the air as the VHLM thrives in its strong community.

1) What are your thoughts on the league thus far? The community is what keeps a forum alive. VHLforum has that in spades. We’ve got the right people in the right roles to keep everything fresh and new members flooding in. 2) Which VHLM team would you like to be a part of next season? (Can find the current VHLM teams here) As a member of the upcoming VHL draft pool I am simply expecting an early first round selection and hope to go to a team where I can play a key role for years to come. Can’t wait to start my VHL career. 3) What are the long-term goals for your player? 1000+ TPE and a consistent 1+ ppg. Winning a championship would be the cherry on top. If there is a week where I do not collect the max TPE we can safely label it an anomaly. I plan on maximizing every opportunity to grow Borwinn into an elite superstar. 4) Who from the NHL would you compare your VHL player to? Patrice Bergeron 5) How did you arrive at your choice for your player's name? The first name in my real first name and the last name is a play on words with my actual last name and the word “win”. 6) What attribute(s) do you think you will be focusing on first with your player? Sorta late to answer this. I plan to have a very well balanced offensive player focusing on skating and scoring while keeping defense in mind.

Earlier this week, Las Vegas' AGM Jubo07 was promoted as the new General Manager. After a successful first season as AGM (50-15-7) and the stepping down of @jacobaa19 , the league made quick work of filling the role. Next in the hiring process was filling the now vacant Assistant General Manager position. There was a surprising lack of applicants but that did not mean a lack of quality. After much deliberation the role was awarded to @oilmandan who Las Vegas management believes will be an asset to the organization and will commit to reserving Vegas' image and continued level of success. Dan comes to Vegas after spending a season as a member of the Ottawa Lynx organization who have found great success in the S62 VHLM playoffs. The Las Vegas Aces have a lot of work to do this off-season and Dan will work closely with Jubo07 to ensure Vegas is game ready come S63. Congratulations to @oilmandan

While I am somewhat surprised by the lack of applicants this decision was still very difficult for me. After much deliberation the AGM job goes to @oilmandan Welcome to the Las Vegas family! Las Vegas Aces - Assistant GM Job Posting Apply below. I had the privilege of being Vegas' AGM this season and it was an excellent learning experience. Certainly a nice addition to any user's resume that is vowing for a future GM role. Should you be the successful candidate your role will be limited to start, trade discussions are allowed but would require my approval. Line change suggestions and scouting new users for potential contract offers would be your main priority right off the bat. AGM roles are typically unpaid but based on your level of commitment I would be willing to split the 2TPE GM pay with you at some point down the line. Looking forward to reviewing the applications.
