  2. This was certainly a fun read. I was drawn in by the players unusual age (for a pro hockey player) and ties to the real life actor. Now a 4 year veteran of the VHL he has developed into a consistent performer for Davos following a less than stellar start in the VHLM. As a VHL hopeful myself I look forward to competing with or against Boots in the seasons to come.
  3. As a fan of Mad Men this was fun read. The photo placement and mention of his father (a prominent advertising executive) provided lighthearted humor. Looking forward to the prospect of possibly being a teammate of Roger's in the VHL, or maybe putting some pucks past him should I be drafted to another club.
  4. A hockey player, a family man and an ear for music. This is the type of player that we will all be keeping an eye on. I can tell you wrote this bio with the utmost creativity in mind and kept the character in a progressive state throughout. I'd like to see you keep up with this level of creativity throughout your media spots etc. It was a no brainier for Vegas to sign you and we expect you to be the top centreman heading into the next draft.
  5. Review: I like how you broke down this Bio and gave it a progression type of feel from his starting years to today. Jerome feels like the type of player that oozes dedication. I think adding a picture in some manner would have really completed the format. I hope you keep active with the VHL and can grow your player into the offensive force your drew him up to be. As a 10th round pick you could end up being a steal for the Ottawa Lynx.
  6. Ok SIM, that's enough beer for you
  7. Julian Borwinn: Signing up for; Creative penalty shot, obstacle course and fastest skater (in that order of priority in case I can't take part in all three).
  8. Welcome to Vegas! @jacobaa19
  9. I don’t remember assigning you to the role as assistant to the assistant GM ? But yes, we would love to have another RW’er battle for a top 6 role.
  10. 6b) Since the last questions, we launched a TPE tracker to allow you to see how well you're earning TPE against other players in the S63 Draft Class. Where do you expect to be on those rankings come draft day? (If you are in the S63 Draft) I expect to keep my spot in the top 2 or 3. Enorama is really gunning for me. A fun TPE rivalry brewing near the top and I do not expect either of us to slow down any time soon. Thanks for keeping the list up to date and everything else you have done for the VHLMers. Your dedication is second to none.
  11. 1. What are your thoughts on the league so far? It has honestly been a blast. The community is great and the interaction is like nothing I've seen from a sim league. With the season now underway I am beyond excited to see how my player progresses leading up to his eventual draft into the VHL. There is always something going on and new opportunities to fain TPE. 2. Does your player have any PREGAME routines? Superstitions? - He will only tape his stick in a counter clockwise rotation. - His stick is taped in half yellow and half green tape. - His pre-game routine consists of a short stretch and workout session with The Office playing on Netflix in the background. 3. If you could compare yourself to an NHL player, who would it be and why? Filip Forsberg. He possesses a creative and lethal offensive game while possessing a strong awareness for defense. His speed is also nothing to overlook. With every shift he is on the ice he is hard to miss. 4. IF your player was to get involved with a celebrity (relationship wise), who would it be??? Gal Gadot. The Wonder Woman herself. No specific reason aside from a previous interview we had with Borwinn where he claimed to have a celebrity crush on her. But lets be honest, do we really need him too explain why? 5. Any suggestions as a new member to improve the site, make things easier or to better accommodate you? More job opportunities would improve the TPE gain across the board especially with the large group of new members since last seasons off-season.

  13. In a very short amount of time, Julian Borwinn went from roller hockey star to ice hockey hopeful to a highly touted member of the VHLM's Las Vegas Aces The dedication put forth has not gone unnoticed. Borwinn was slated to start the season as the #2 left wing with Vegas but after a deal which saw Karl von Moltke shipped out to Halifax, he was promoted as the clubs top left winger. His line mates Revchenko and Thomas have gelled well thus far leading the Aces to three wins in their first 4 matches. Borwinn has yet to score but has five helpers and 17 shots on goal. Oleksiy Revchenko has benefited well from Borwinn's high hockey IQ and passing ability scoring four goals through the four games. The third member of the Aces top line, Jessy Thomas, has yet to acquire a point but has shown promise as he continues to improve his game. The Aces have been spoiled by the elite goaltending shown by rookie Alexander Pepper. Although a small sample size, Pepper currently leads the league in all respective goal-tending categories. Borwinn is looking forward to his first full week in the VHLM and hopes to keep his point a game+ pace to help his team stay on the winning side of contests. A consistent pace will also see Borwinn remain as one of the most anticipated prospects for next seasons VHL draft. 237 Words +2 for week ending Aug.26
  14. Review - As a newer member to the site this was a good read to get a quick overview as to what to expect from the VHL. The straight to the point facts/opinions gave me a clearer image on the state of their respective club. I enjoy the use of team logo's to give the article a more appealing feel.

    Bassolino

Review - I remember reading the Bassolino biography when I has first joined the league. Seeing an update article was a fun read. Still cant picture a 51 year old man from the Bronx playing professional ice hockey but it sure is tough to not pull for the guy. I always enjoy the small touches on these articles such as adding the Davos team logo; I think it adds a more appealing nature to the read.
  16. Review - As a fellow GM (assistant) in the VHLM I enjoy these types of article that provide insight to a teams current and future outlook. I know you may want to hold your cards close but It would be nice to know who your valued prospects are or perhaps who you see as players you are looking to part with. Hope to see more articles on the Storm on a regular basis. From the outside looking in, rebuild projects are a fun venture and with patience they can lead to high reward.
  17. Review - Always fun to read articles from my own teammates. Good write-up on your players goals and current status. Now that games have actually started I would recommend for your next article to include player stats in some fashion. Looking forward to next weeks read.
  18. @Sonnet Pepper is off to a fantastic start

      What he said - thanks.

  20. Las Vegas offers $1.25million. We are excited with the roster we have put together in our inaugural season of all new management. As goes for anyone on our roster, your ice time will be determined by your level of activity. Seeing what you have already accomplished there won't be much of any concern with that. We look forward to your decision and hope you choose The Aces! @jacobaa19
