Last time he was on the ice, Joseph McWolf was hoisting the Founder's Cup, as he capped off his VHLM career with a brilliant final performance that helped the Ottawa Lynx sweep the Halifax 21st. Since then, he was drafted 2nd overall by the New York Americans, after they traded up to get him in particular. And tonight was his VHL debut. His long-awaited debut. Experts were excited to see if he'd manage to lead his new team to glory as soon as this season. Deep down, the English defenseman knew this season wouldn't be an easy one. He'd have to get acclimated to the speed, to the different strategies. He's also joining a team that has barely started its rebuilding process, one that promises to take a while. He was excited to get back in the action tonight, wearing his new colours. He had a lot to prove, as he looked forward to show everyone the Americans were right to pick him at number 2. In the end, maybe this was too early to start calling him a saviour or anything. His debut was, as he anticipated, a rough one, as the Bears visited New York and walked away with an easy 7-0 win. He did, however, lead the team in both hits and shots blocked, as we maybe got a glimpse of a future where McWolf is a dominant defensive presence on the Americans blueline.

We won the last 2 periods with a combined 2-0. The little things!

But then we don't play each other before season 64 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

IT'S OK GUYS, WE'RE ONLY FACING THEM 10 MORE TIMES IN THE NEXT 13 GAMES.

Absolute next-level bromance.

1. It feels good. Especially because we ended up winning it all. I had success before moving to America, now I had some level of success in the minors. Time to show what I can do on the big stage. 2. I was so sure that I sent some scouting reports on fellow draftees to @Spade18. I knew for sure he was taking me and I knew who I wanted him to pick to join me as an American rookie and part of hopefully a future dynasty. 3. I read your mind and answered in the previous question and now the RP is dead. But yeah, Spade was hesitating between a couple of players so I told him which one I thought would be the better one, and we ended up getting him, so I'm pretty fired up about that! 4. Yes and no. The fact I was drafted 2nd doesn't change much. I'm training hard so I can continue to do my thing and be an efficient defensive dman. What puts under more pressure is the fact that Spade traded up to get me. He basically thinks I'm worth the 3rd and the 10th pick. Not sure I really am better than Borwinn and Odinsson combined, but I'll try to prove he was right to do it! Then again, the confidence the Americans staff showed me makes me want to step up my game and make them proud of me. 5. You do you. Don't burn yourself out trying to be over active and end up just losing interest in the league. It's fine if you take it slow, welfare when you don't have ideas about what to write and stay in the VHLM one year after the draft. The VHLM was more fire than the VHL last season anyway!

I don't check the penalties I get much. Do I get like a lot of these? I set like every pair I was in to 5 DF or 1 OF 4 DF, so I don't think I should be in front of their net lmao
