  1. 1. I am. Who isn't? Can't wait to hear Riga call my name at #1. That'll shut Ryan up. 2. Isn't it obvious, really? I'm not gonna go on about it, but I think most people know exactly where I'm going. (#1 or bust) 3. I think we did a fine job. We took a whole freaking lot of time to get the awards out but we'll patch that next season. As for the main show; it was a real freaking good show! Team World gave a good run to other teams. Cole was godly for us. And what about that final! 6-5 or something like that? That was huge! 4. I think we got something solid already, so I wouldn't change much, but we got stuff to patch. We forgot to decide roster sizes before some teams picked their players and small stuff like that. We can do better, but we don't have much to change to keep the WJC enjoyable for the community, I think. 5. Yeah, of course. With you as well. We make a great team. Great choices, man!
  2. official review; Fairly simple, but it looks good. Maybe a tad bit too simple for a PT, but hey I'm not one to judge. Wait, actually, I'm an updater, maybe it's my job to judge. Anyhow, I love how it turned out, nice infographic. Nice touch to make the background image in black and grey. The numbers blend well and the logos stand out. Wished you would have done it with the final too :')
  3. official review; I like everything you do, man. This one's really flashy, really in your face but it works. I feel like I could throw a couple negative points, but in yhe end it just works as a whole. You got your own trashy disturbed style or whatever you would wanna talk it, but you do it freaking right. Oh and thanks again for my sig! I'm almost ashamed to say I realized after like a whole week that the english flag was hidden in it. Not really hidden, I'm just dumb.
  4. Official review; It's real different from your usual work, but it's looking real sharp. It gives a Night on the Town feel, like Dan is on a bender under city neon lights. Love the handwritten first name with the bold last name. That's my shit!
  5. Official review; Really clean one, man. Nice size, nice choice of picture. I like the final results, with the different lighting, contrast and the blurred background. Not the fan of the font you used though, but I think I'm just picky with these. It's not bad either, just not to my taste. Maybe next time, you can start from this and go crazy with some blended textures and stuff? Good luck with your future signatures!
  6. Good timing to start your VHL career, with the VHLM Draft coming up in about a week!
  7. I wanted to vote for Zenboni, where's my Zenboni? @Enorama
  8. Good luck with that, mate. I wish some teams were competitive every season, or at least a couple in a row here and there. Can't wait to see how your team pans out next season
  9. to the GM 1. What can explain the result of the series? 2. What's coming up next season for Halifax? 3. Are you gonna miss those guys that will undoubtedly get promoted to the VHL? to the player 4. Do you think you could have stepped up your game in the finals and change the way things went? 5. Do you think you'll be on the USA's blue line for the World Cup? 6. How are you preparing for next season, which will be your first season in the big leagues?
  10. Defenseman with this pick, goalie with the 10th they also got?
  11. You were huge for us in the playoffs. Good job, man!
  12. What an overpayment! McWolf is a bust.
  13. Ottawa Lynx Top 6 forwards average: 158,7 TPA Top 4 defensemen average: 185,0 TPA Starting goaltender: 200 TPA 100+ TPE players: 10 200+ TPE players: 6 Halifax 21st Top 6 forwards average: 167,8 TPA Top 4 defensemen average: 175,3 TPA Starting goaltender: 184 TPA 100+ TPE players: 12 200+ TPE players: 5 Las Vegas Aces Top 6 forwards average: 174,7 TPA Top 4 defensemen average: 171,3 TPA Starting goaltender: 200 TPA 100+ TPE players: 12 200+ TPE players: 5 Can you really say we were a worse team? We had more capped players, the best defensive squad and one of the only two capped goaltenders in the VHLM. I guess then it comes down to tactics and luck and we clearly had the advantage in at least one of these two aspects.
  14. One of the lower teams? I'll run the TPA totals of the top 3 teams on my lunch break, but we were definitely not a bad team.
  15. Shameless self vote. I'll carry that blueline alone if I need to.
  16. Can we co-GM? One last ride together towards the sunset before we get drafted under different skies and become rivals again next season.
  17. Fast is the only speed I know. Oh, I know dead too.
  18. I think he was only saying he wasn't there yet. Like I've been around for 2 months and there's already someone saying I might get in someday, while Bana's been here for god's knows how long and has done a lot of shit but isn't here yet. That's how I read it. Anyway, thanks for the vote of confidence! It means a lot. I won't promise I'll get in the HoF as a builder, as this just feels like a very distant longshot right now. What I'll promise though is that I'll continue to be as active as I am right now, and I'll continue to pursue jobs I'm interested in when they are available. Thanks for everything you did for me and for the whole team this season!
  19. This was a great series. Pretty much like it was the case in our semi-finals, I'm not surprised we won, just surprised we won in so few games. Good luck in the upcoming season, man! I hope you get another shot at a Founder's Cup!
  20. Ottawa just won the Founder's Cup. Joseph McWolf is sitting in the locker room, halfway through taking out his gear and he's just lost in his thoughts. Others are celebrating, and he will definitely get to it in a minute or two, but right now, he's just following where his mind leads him. A couple minutes ago, he was lifting the cup at the center of the ice, in front of loyal Ottawa Lynx fans. He capped off this brilliant run with a strong 2-assist, +3, 5-hit and 2-blocked shot performance. Very possibly his best game of the whole playoffs. McWolf rarely takes the spotlight, but it just felt so good, playing at such an impressive level in his last ever VHLM game, in such an important setting, in front of Lynx fans that followed the team all season. This just feels so unreal for him. This is like a dream come true. Actually, while this does feel like a dream right now, he knows better. This is barely the first part of a dream come true. This season has been a great learning experience for McWolf. He had it rough for the first couple of games, but he ended up as one of the most solid shutdown defenseman in the league, if not the best one. But it's now time to take his game up to the next level. Next season, he'll join the VHL following the Entry Draft, where he'll face tough adversity day in day out. A whole step above what he played against in the VHLM. He doesn't know yet what colours he'll wear, but he has an idea already. Anything is possible, but if we are realistic, there are only two possible destinations for McWolf. There is no way he gets called on the stage first on draft day. That honour will no doubt belong to his linemate with the Lynx, Ryan Kastelic. He is about as good defensively as McWolf and miles ahead of him offensively. He has the skillset to be the best defenseman on the whole Riga squad right now and they would be crazy to pass on him. That brings us to the second pick: Helsinki Titans. McWolf spoke with the new Titans' GM a few times and he feels like they built a nice rapport together. He doesn't know if he intends to draft him with the 2nd overall pick, as he might prefer Julian Borwinn to him, but there's a good possibility Quik selects him with that pick. However, if he doesn't, then there's no doubt McWolf gets selected with the very next pick: New York Americans. Again, McWolf had good talks with the Americans' GM and he feels he'd be delighted to have him on his team. He might be wrong, but deep down, he has a feeling this is as far as he goes. Ball in his Helsinki's court. They're basically the ones to decide the English defenseman's fate at that point. But hey, this can all wait a few days. Get this nonsense out of your head, Joseph. You can't control it anyway. Now go and get drunk with your buddies.
