  1. answering late so I'll skip the 2 outdated questions 2. Ottawa is cute, it's like a mini-London, with a lot less rain though. But yeah, I've tried the make the most out of my passage in the VHLM. I tried to spend one free day in every city that we got to play in. I tried to stay calm in Vegas though, that could have turned ugly quick. 3. Well, season is pretty much over now, we're finishing in 3rd place, pretty much where we've been for the whole thing. That was to be expected, really. We started out slow and had to do some catching up with Halifax and Las Vegas ever since. I think we got what it takes to surprise a couple of teams in the playoffs though. "Surprise" probably isn't the best of choice of words here, actually, as I don't think anyone would really be surprised if any of Halifax, Las Vegas or Ottawa won the Founder's Cup. They'd be surprised if none of them won it, though. Personally, I'm just looking forward to be that same shutdown defenseman I've been all season long. That's what the team expects from me and that's what I'll do. 5. I've said it a couple times already, and now he doesn't even sleep like a sleeper pick anymore, but I love that Kisshan Shan kid. He's gonna do great things in the VHL, I'm sure of it. I also like how my Lynx teammate Jesse Wilson looks so far. He joined us late in the season but he already looks like a seasoned veteran. Same goes for Rylan Peace, I haven't seen him much, because he signed with Halifax so late, but he looks like he might steal the show in the playoffs and he might continue to that in the big leagues in a couple years.
  2. With the 61st VHLM season pretty much in the books, Joseph McWolf takes some time to look back and reflect on what he accomplished in this past season. He knows this next game might be his last regular season game as a Lynx and he's feeling kind of nostalgic about it, already. The team that drafted him and gave him his first shot at playing professional hockey. He almost wishes he could stay with them one more season and help them be a competitive team again next season as well, but so is the life of a prospect. You got to be thankful for that chance they gave you, but then you got to move on and work on what's next; the VHL. McWolf doesn't know yet the colours he's going to wear next season, but he did spoke with a couple of general managers that showed some interest for him. Some of them talked about the impact he could have in the upcoming season, but they all seemed impressed mostly by the type of player he could potentially become down the road. The English defenseman is en route to finish 2nd in the VHLM in hits, as he delivered 234 in 71 games. He also currently sits on the 16th place in the blocked shots leaderboards with 74, effectively showing that he is a soul-crushing shutdown force to be recognized in the minor league. He is hopeful that this high-level of defensive abilities he's been showing all season long will translate well in the big leagues. He doesn't expect to finish his rookie season anywhere near the top 10 in either hits or blocked shots, but he might get up there at one point in his career. As for the offensive side of his game, there sadly isn't much to talk about. His 34 points ranked him 44th in the whole league, 21st among defensemen. McWolf lacked the powerplay time that his competitors had, only racking 4 points with the man advantage, while some others had upwards of 20 powerplay points. But, even with more powerplay time, he would never have caught up with top scoring defensemen like Shawn Glade or Lando Baxter. He's conscious that, at some point in his career, he's going to have to put some work on his finishing touch. Blocking shots and checking opponents only gets you so far if you can't score when given the opportunity. He wants to do what's best for his future team and he knows that might be to try and become more a two-way defenseman than a undimensional shutdown guy. That is hopefully something he'll get to discuss with his coach in the coming weeks. For now, though, Joseph has to focus. He gotta think about his short-term future. He gotta wear that Ottawa Lynx jersey one last time in the regular season and get his mind set on the upcoming playoffs.
  3. Joseph McWolf Defenseman Hits Points You might want to update #9, @Banackock
  4. Great banner, love the darker edit

  5. because he posted the results at first, and then realized we were only friday and it was a bit early to end the week I guess, so he edited the message.
  6. Love the Burns pic too. Just like him, I'm ugly af and (trying to) let the beard grow all out. It kinda fits :')
  7. Wow. Just wow, @Spade18. You literally used EVERYTHING I said in that intro and it is freaking marvelous. Thanks for the kind words. You deserve these 16 TPE, bud!
  8. Ryan Zabby also known as Ryan Zabby I lol'd irl, gg The poll is for S63 VHLM Draft lf S64 VHL Draft? Cause you started at the perfect time, if you're active, you're set for 1st round in the VHL Draft for sure, but VHLM is hard to tell.
  9. Got 1 assist and 2 hits. Uh Good win though!
  10. If you're talking about this season: they're not reaching 200 TPE for the playoffs. Don't worry, Yukon is 4th and you're still top 3 with OTT and HFX. If you're talking about next season: they won't be in Yukon automatically, they're going through next VHLM Dispersal Draft. But then again, Yukon will probably get a couple of them, as they got like 12 picks in the top 3 rounds.
  11. It's not like having friends on one team or another never influence signings in real life too..
  12. @wiggo, this is where VHLM GM's will offer you a contract and you'll be allowed to choose which team you want to play for. The contract amount is set league wide at $1,500,000 and you'll accept the contract by stating which teams offer you accept in this thread. There is no rush and you will be given time to look around and speak to the GM's and such if you wish! Good luck in the decision making and your career ! Halifax 21st @ShawnGlade Las Vegas Aces @jacobaa19 @Jubo07 Oslo Storm @Laflamme Ottawa Lynx @diamond_ace @McWolf Saskatoon Wild @Dtayl @Gooningitup Yukon Rush @BarzalGoat @Reives
  13. We could get to 14 or 16 teams if we're full

    G - Mac Miller

That's still too much to be bringing recruits in though
  15. 1.5mil to be part of an historically deep roster and battle for a 3rd line spot with Ottawa, how's that sound to you?

It seems as if Ottawa has 3 goalies right now, so I'm guessing it's best if you join some other team. Good luck!
