  6. ||| ISABELLA CAMPBELL ||| A SCOUTING REPORT ||| P L A Y E R N A M E: ISABELLA CAMPBELL B I R T H D A Y: SEPTEMBER 19, 2000 B I R T H P L A C E: DENVER, COLORADO H E I G H T: 5'11" W E I G H T: 175LBS N U M B E R: 19 Isabella Campbell is officially on her way out of the gate as the VHLM season got underway 2 days ago and I think it's safe to say that if you placed a bet on her becoming something this season, you're likely right. I think the first place you need to start is the fact that she came into the league with some decent carry-over or recreate TPE based off her agencies history previously. Then, you mix that potion of success into the fact that she has been working incredibly hard with the rest of the Bulls since joining their organization and she's basically set. I do believe right now she's sitting at 141 TPE and counting on the week, with a few more to come. This is great to think about for her, the VHLM, Houston, Seattle and all of the above. Maybe even women who are looking to become more prominent and successful in these leagues. Just think, it won't be too many seasons until she's busting the 200 zone and I'd likely guess that by seasons end she'll be damn near capping. What's amazing about that is her later start. Now, with that out of the way, let's take a look at the player herself and do a minor, quick breakdown. B R E A K D O W N Scoring - Although expectations might have been a little higher so far this season, she's not doing bad at all and I think just needs to find that chemistry and what clicks for her. Outside of what's actually going on, how she trains and with what we believe her current traits are, her lethal shot and ability to find the back of the net are something that makes her a special player. She's going to be at the top of any leagues for scoring, almost always. I think that would be a fairly easy bet for us. Good Balance - She's got extremely consistent, strong traits throughout her entire build. While she can play good in the offensive zone, she's pretty decent in her own zone as well defending the puck from her net. Then, she's a master at the draws - or, at least coming along fairly nicely and making sure to spend time working on that as she knows its importance to the team. This balance and consistency of it will be a good reason why she has nice success in her future. N H L C O M P A R I S O N Always fun to see where these players are going to line up for their careers and there's not many ways to show a fan how well they'll turn out than by comparing them to an NHL player. We're going to take a stab and go with Evgeni Malkin. While she's not as big and built as Malkin, for a female we'd say she's got good size to compete with the men and make sure they know she's on the ice. She's going to be able to win battles along the boards, by the net or make sure she's winning those draws with brute force. She's gonna have the hands of silk, the shot of a god and the ability to put up some big numbers and be a player that the team wants, needs, loves and all of the above.

  8. ||| ISABELLA CAMPBELL ||| A JUNIOR REVIEW ||| P L A Y E R N A M E: ISABELLA CAMPBELL B I R T H D A Y: SEPTEMBER 19, 2000 B I R T H P L A C E: DENVER, COLORADO H E I G H T: 5'11" W E I G H T: 175LBS N U M B E R: 19 Isabella Campbell is a force to be reckoned with. Not only does she have the skill sets that make her an absolute weapon for her teams on the ice, but she has the blood of her father, agent and future GM running through her veins. She was made to dominate. Being an elite hockey player is in her mind and running through her body. This was extremely evident throughout her junior career prior to announcing she had intentions of joining the VHLM and being picked up by the Houston Bulls. Before that moment she took the leap into the bigger, professional leagues, she spent the last 2 seasons playing with the Denver Icehawks in the United States Womens Hockey League. During these 2 seasons, she led the team on the ice for points, goals and most things you can lead for (aside from penalty minutes), and also led her to on and ice as the teams official captain. She was the leagues best player at the time of her departure and really grew into an amazing player. In fact, she was so good that she's currently one of few females to be playing in the VHLM right now. We don't have specific numbers for you, but she's currently suiting up with an all female line with Venus and Aloe. Her amazing play led her up to this historic and legendary moment in the VHLM. Two years ago, she entered the United States professional women's league as a rookie and quickly started making a name for herself. Out of the gate, the team was transitioning into a rebuilder with lots of their veteran presence moved out earlier in the off-season. Entering training camp, her skates apparently came with some mixture of gasoline and other explosives because damn she was on fire. Her motivation, work ethic and attitude were things that earned her the captaincy for that season. Throughout the 56 game schedule, the team managed to exceed expectations and barely squeak their way into playoffs. Campbell's play was destructive in the offensive zone and fairly consistent in her own zone. In 56 games, she threw up 28 goals, 33 assists for 61 points on the year. Flip the page and head into the next season, the team added some fire power in the off-season, drafting a few big players throughout the USA and adding 2 others via trade. Things were feeling good, looking good and going good. The team started hot out of the gate and they didn't stop that fire until the full completion of the season. Not only did they take 1st place on the year, but got the 2nd most wins ever in a season with the most goals ever scored. Think that's bad ass? Isabella Campbell went beast mode on the league and absolutely smashed her season totals from last season. During the 56 game season, she added 39 goals, 60 assists for a grand total of 99 points on the season. The record for most points in a season is 111. She currently sits 8th all-time. Then, with the 17 playoff games she added another 8 goals, 20 assists for 28 points to hoist the championship high above her head. Fast forward and she's currently making history in the VHLM - forming the first all female line on the Houston Bulls. Her presence has been a strong one in Houston as the team has really built itself up over the last week or so and Campbell's presence has been a good factor into some of the newcomers entering the Bulls organization. She's excited for her future with the Seattle Bears and to be taught under her father who had a strong career in the VHL, both as a player and as the GM of the Seattle Bears. Time will tell where she ends up, but she is extremely determined to come out of her career as one of the best, if not the best, female player to ever play the game. T H E E N D
  9. FOR MYSELF.... ISABELLA CAMPBELL
  10. It's crazy to think that over 4 years ago I took the helm of the Seattle Bears and I'd imagine with the 5 seasons immediately behind that, it's been well over 5 years of consecutive GMing within the VHL and it's leagues. It's crazy to think that as of last month, I hit 1,500 straight days of being behind the Bears bench. With that start of the S73 regular season, it also marks the start of my 25th straight season with the organization. When this season concludes, I will nail 1,800 games GM'd with the team with the final game being the one that helps me hit the milestone. It's crazy to think, or to see when looking at the all-time GM stats, that for a majority of all statistics and records and what have you, I have to be somewhere near the top. I guess the tenure's longevity could also be to thank for that, lol. I did a little bit of piling up of stats, going through World Cups and all of that to see what I have. Everything for the VHL and VHLM are correct, but I think I could be missing a season or so worth of GMing for the World Cup but couldn't find the GM lists. That aside, over 900 wins (for 2nd or 3rd all-time I believe), 1,700 Games GM'd, 4 Continental Championships, 2 Founders Cup (3 if you count the won I won for LaFlamme and Minnesota in whatever season I helped him out), 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. If you tallied up all the games (excluding the medal round games for tournaments) GM'd over the last 29 seasons, the total amounts more than 2,100 games in this role or some form of it. Kind of a cool vibe to be heading into the 25th season with the Bears. It's something not a lot will do and no others have done. The fact that it's a quarter of a VHL century, that's pretty damn cool. Over the 2,100 games, I have made some awesome league memories, pals and all of that. It continues to this day as a player, member and GM too. Any who, that's enough tooting my own horn. 2 TPE. Houston has a lot of amazing people and I think could really help you get back into things here. Most fun I’ve had since back to back cups.

  17. Media Spot When I was 13, I enjoyed playing baseball and hockey. For hockey, I was a goalie and a center growing up. I know for baseball the position may be looked at as a joke to some, but I really enjoyed the catcher position. I was super good at handling and catching them balls. +13 oh ya
