i like what SHL and other sim leagues do with championship trophies under the profiles of users. something like that would be cool to a player profile, add pngs of cups that they win majors/minors, maybe even expand it to individual awards too? I guess what I'm saying is a trophy case section.

1. I'd love to see a sim engine switch, or at least have plans for a switch. I agree STHS fits our needs really well, but I think in the next bit we'll see people go more towards the meta, and I know all of my next players unless I make a goalie will be the same, which isn't that fun. 2. Something to encourage PT production. I liked Reno's ideas of an award at the end of the season for best media/gfx/podcast. Too many clickers right now 3. I'd love to see the BOG discussion breakdown brought back. Really enjoyed ADV's articles on that, but it is a lot of work for someone on the BoG to do, not sure what ADV did but if it's claimable as PT/Job Pay to do that breakdown would be good.

@GustavMattias recently tagged me in Reno's media (check it out here) asking about doing things like graphics tournaments again, and I thought it could be time for one. Graphics has been growing in the VHL recently (maybe people were scared of getting flamed by gorlab?) and the last one would've been like 10 seasons ago. I'd be happy to host one again, would just need to determine a good format and know if there's interest or not. If I was to host one again I wouldn't run a full double elimination bracket, since I think it takes too long, and the timing gets weird with off weeks and what not. Plus people also get more disinterested the longer it goes on, and I think double elim only benefits a few people. Most of the time the people who get out early would just have to face gorlab/enig/IR later on, and the double elimination only helps the top graphic makers when it gets to semi's and they are facing eachother. Running single elim might technically be the best way, but I think it'd be too short and if someone gets unlucky or can't work well with whatever theme then it's rough, but I guess it does up the stakes. I think if I was to run it again something like a group stage round robin might be interesting. My thoughts would be have a round robin stage, then the top 2 move on to a double elimination bracket? I think we had 16 sign-ups for the last one, so assuming the same number. Could have 4 groups of 4, would give 3 weeks of round-robin play. Then a double elimination bracket of 8? That'd be another 4/5 weeks which might be too long? Would be a total of 7/8 weeks. I think it's my favourite format, but would love to hear other thoughts on it.

i'd be down to run it again, just need to figure out a format that works. double elim is way too long, but single elim might be too short? perhaps some round robin into single elim bracket?

I don't like using +/- since it's such a team reliant stat and not really *that* defensive, especially compared to SB's. Big fan of looking at hit/pim ratios though, think that and shotblocks are the only real good defensive stats we had. Dil did make that giveaway/takeaway script which would also be good to use.

I've seen hedge write these types of articles and seems cool so figured I'd do one for my PBE PT. My player Kitson on the Hounds is doing good but also pretty bad compared to my last 2 VHLM players. Hounds are doing good unsurprisingly though, sitting first in the league but have some good competition which is good and surprising too see. Back to Kitson though only 56 points in 45 games, as a dman though so maybe that's good? 23 goals too which is insane, but I'm still 10 behind the D leader, who also has more goals than me. It sucks cause my last 2 players won a bunch of awards, but they also ended up winning 0 VHL awards so maybe it's like a tradeoff. Win VHLM awards to not win VHL ones and vice-versa. Looking at Vancouver who I AGM, I also think we're exceeding expectations. Some community power rankings said we'd finish last which isn't nice. Our offense is doing great but defense is a bit lacking, 3rd highest GF in the conference but also the most let in. It's only up from here tbh though so this season is really good. Sad to see Jerome Reinhart scoring more than Tyler though, rip my predictions.

most of the time it takes a bit because everyone submits updates on monday/saturday/sunday so queue gets to like 200+ (especially with trivia) but gets cleared relatively quickly. Not sure there is a massive need for more updaters rn, but pro-tip, if you want updates approved quickly submit them on a wednesday
