Hello Moscow! I don't usually write press conferences for other teams but @Patpou22, a former Reaper, Inspired my press confrence when he told me about his truck breaking down on his way home today. This is my way of letting Pat know his former team mates are thinking of him. So Menace enjoy answering this one in Pat's honor! Wranglers Getting Wild So you were baited here by my catchy title or I probably tagged you because you are in this over 1200 word "master piece" basically every few seasons I write an article that talks a bit about the players and add some cute pictures to it. Last time it was VHL goalies as puppies and his season it is the Wrangles as animals! I know you are just so excited !! S61 Robert Malenko @pennypenny Malenko has been in the VHL for 6 seasons and has been on 4 different teams. He might not be the most team loyal D-man out there but this old dog still out preforms many in the VHL! He is known for being a bit of a troll and meme master , somehow the crocodile with a croc just seems to fit this funny player. Malenko is know for his multiple locker room pranks on the younger players on his team. S61 Sebastian Ironside @DollarAndADream Ironside is a household name in the VHL. He hasn’t traveled around as much as his creation mate Malenko but he has been to Toronto, Seattle and now Calgary. This center is in his last years but still putting up great numbers. He is one of the older guys in the Locker Room and definitely has taken it on himself to be the ruler of the roost when the Coaches and GMs aren't around. He was always a quik player with a killer instinct and he seems to be passing that on to some of younger protegees in Calgary. S62 Oleksiy Revchenko @AndrewWarren13 His teammates call him Revy and this center certainly knows how to get the Calgary locker room all Revved up! He only played one season out of Calgary where he went to Helsinki in S65. This loyal seems to take every chance to come back to Calgary and it is not a surprise that the fans love him for it. If you ever attend a Wranglers game it is not unusual to hear the fans cheering “Revy, Revy!”, the only thing that the fans keep wondering about is what exactly happened when Revy was in Helsinki, and why are their rumors of Helsinki nudes? Hopefully he covers it in his autobiography after he retires, because goodness knows there is more than one fan that would like to hear those stories! S62 Leph Twinger @DollarAndADream Besides from his awesome name and a history of some pretty impressive stats there was very little known about Twinger when he moved to Calgary. He played with Riga for 3 seasons then moved to New York for two. The Calgary fans were excited when this talented veteran signed on. He is rumored to be an amazing locker room personality who often takes the younger forwards under his wing and teaches them the ropes. Twinger is defiantly know for his zingers, often getting in a quik quip before any other person in the room. S64 Joel Ylonen @Esso2264 Ylonen hasn’t even been on the team a week yet and rumors say he is gelling well the majority of personalities in Calgary. Diljodh Starload seems to be the most excited to welcome this new teammate from the Seattle bears. The only thing Calgary fans know for sure is that he is signed to Calgary for a few seasons and that they are excited at the news that his talent will be staying in Calgary for the foreseeable future. S64 Diljodh Starload @DilIsPickle Known to his teammates as Dils, Starload is probably one of the fan favorites of Calgary. He is highly favored by his Coach and is a story on how persistence and handwork really does show in the stats sheet. Starload is a Calgary home grown Star and the fans treat him as such, win or lose there always seem to be droves of fans that comes to see then energetic little pickle after every game. As he continues to work hard, it is obvious that the fans will always be cheering for their favorite right winger! S64 Brick Wahl (Yup It's a Wahl-rus!) This feisty goalie is also a life long Wrangler who has signed a long term contract to play for the team. Though rumors say he heavily considered testing Free Agency, he was reminded of a promise he made to the Wranglers GM when he was given a chance to be a starting goalie. Wahl made good on his promise and signed the majority of his career over to the Wranglers. The fans of Calgary are protective of their Wahl as he has won multiple medals for Team Canada and is always steady as a rock for them. Wahl is rumored to be best friends with Elasmobranch Fish and the pair often go surfing in the off season. S65 Elasmobranch Fish @Sharkstrong Elasmobranch Fish is another youngin’ that was drafted out of the VHLM and brought up to Calgary! Fish has a reputation of being a happy, upbeat locker room personality. He always has a kind word to say or good advice to give. If you are looking to talk life philosophies Fish is your man. It also doesn’t hurt that he is on track to be one of the best D-men of his Draft class. He gets on extremely well with all of his teammates but seems to have gained extra favor with his Goalie Brick Wahl, who has been often over head saying “Fish is the best we have, the best any team could ask for and I am both lucky and honored to have a guy like that in front of me.” S65 Roll Fizzlebeef @TacticalHammer Season 65 was an amazing draft year for Calgary as they managed to pick up Fizzlebeef along with Fish and Stropko Jr. Fizzle beef isn’t the most talkative guy in the Locker room but if you catch him on the right day and bring up football, you might get more than you bargained for. This center Hits like a hammer and has been building his footing in the VHL. He is getting better each season. For a forward he is a physical guy and he is not afraid to take a penalty or two to let the other team knows he means business! S65 Brady Stropko Jr @Bushito In case you didn’t know Brady Stropko Jr comes from a ling line of famous VHL players. The talent in his family line is simply amazing and it is rumored that somehow, he is actually related to the amazing former Calgary Goalie Stopko. Stropko is another rookie that has been Calgary loyal. He is a leader in the Locker room and for someone so young he is actually one of the most influential players on his team. S66 Tyler Barabash Jr @Bushito Looks like Calgary has another VHL legacy in the form of Tyler Barabash Jr. Tyler often called Bash by his team mates is a Physical player that still waiting for his time to shine. Calgary fans wonder if he will be able to step out from his father’s shadow and be able to make his own way in the VHL. Bash shows great promise and constantly puts in the effort so that he can grow as a player. He expects a lot out of himself and in the short time he has been with the team he has shown his dedication to the franchise. I think it is only a matter of time before you see this forward really take the VHL by storm, it’s not a matter of if it will happen more of a when it will happen because I can’t see his effort going unrewarded. S66 Cody Smith @cody73 Smith is the resident Calgary rookie. He stayed down last season to play in the VHLM. This season he finally made his VHL debut and while certainly not breaking any rookie records, he is doing well on this middle of the road Calgary team. Cody has a reputation of being enthusiastic and flexible often offering to help his team in any way he can. He looks to add value to his team with everything he does, and it is no wonder why he was chosen above many others to be come a Wrangler. -1376-
