The Playoffs The playoffs are something that most teams get to enjoy every season. You have three teams from both conferences who make the playoffs and the remaining two from each don't. This season will be featuring the Toronto Legion, the New York Americans and the Quebec City Meute from the North American conference. The Meute finished with the league's best record of 60 wins with only eight losses and four overtime losses. The Legion had 59 wins, nine losses and four overtime losses as well. The New York Americans finished with 57 wins, 14 losses and one overtime loss. The North American conference was the most amazing conference in the league and they dominated the competition all season long. Even the team in fourth place, the Seattle Bears finished with 40 wins, 30 losses and two overtime losses. Four teams finished above .500 and even the Bears finished with a better record than any team in the European Conference. The European Conference was a complete joke. The team with the best record was the Cologne Express and they finished 35 wins, 32 losses and five overtime losses. The Davos Dynamo came in second place with 33 wins, 30 losses and nine overtime losses. The Riga Reign slid into the playoffs as they basically were forced to. They finished with a record of 31 wins, 36 losses and five overtime losses. The only team in the playoffs under .50. Despite how the teams have fared, both conferences look like they could be a toss up for who wins their respected conference. The North American Conference has each team within 1-2 wins of the next competing team. The European Conference has teams within two wins of each other. The European conference is believe to be the weaker conference and I am almost certain a team from the North American Conference will win. Now it's not set in stone who will win and some teams may be favored more than others, but this will be the best playoffs we have seen in awhile. I mean in terms of talent. The NA conference is stacked with talent and loaded with star power. The EU conference also boasts some star power, but not as much as the NA conference. It's going to be interesting to watch the finals as I state above the NA team being favored. Of course we have seen crazier things happen. If the Toronto Legion get there and they are up three games to one, we could see the curse take effect. Or they could be the first team to repeat since the Helsinki Titans did it a few seasons ago. Right now all we know is that the playoffs can and will be exciting for most. Many players and GM's will be let down for obvious reasons. We may see the underdogs take over or we could see the best of the best win. I'd like to wish all of the teams the best of luck and I just want to say "Go Davos".

Kai's Photo Shoot Recently Kai was spotted at a photo shoot. One of the local magazines had contacted his agent and they discussed the details of the shoot. He wanted to make sure that he was going to get the exposure that Kai needs. It seems like Kai has fallen off recently as he is now trailing fellow rookie of the year candidate, Pietro Maximoff. Something that Kai knew was going to happen but he was hoping it wasn't going to happen as fast as it did. So he agreed to do the photo shoot and hopefully it would help take his mind of the race and get focused back on hockey. Kai's numbers have been terrible recently and he needs to get back on pace. Of course he didn't realize that he was going to be needed for more than one day on this photo shoot. He just agreed in terms before hearing anything about it. The photo shoot started on a Friday. I mean who honestly agrees to let their Friday night go to waste taking pictures. We aren't talking your "selfies" or any other pictures with your friends out at the club. No, these were professional ones. When Kai arrived he had to get ready so they threw him into hair and make up. Kind of seems odd to throw a guy into make up right? Wrong. He has to look his absolute best when he is put on that magazine cover. After about an hour of getting his hair just right and making sure he didn't look all tired and worn out, he was ready to go. The first set of pictures were just going to make sure that he was cover ready and to see how things needed to go from there. After they finished, the second set was coming up. Kai asked if he could get a copy of these so he can send them to his family. His parents are currently in the United States so I doubt they would have seen the magazine. He was told that he would be able to but it wasn't going to be until the final day. So after a few more hours they decided to wrap it up and come back tomorrow. Saturday came around and after another hour of hair and make up he was ready to go. This time they had him doing other things. He was going to get placed in a vehicle and he was going to get his pictures in that. We weren't quite sure why but they said just to do it. He wasn't going to argue as this could have ruined his cover chances. I mean after all these pictures were free to him. So he agreed and they went through a few sets of those. After about two hours Kai finally got his picture which will be sent home to his parents. He also wants to buy a few copies of the magazine. He wants to send one home with the pictures to his parents, he wants to get one framed and he wants to bring one into work. Of course showing off is something that Kai loves to do. He is going to show the guys something they would be missing out on.
