Going into a rebuild, trying to gain all the assets I can while giving those guys who are wanting to win, a chance to do so. Good luck @twists and thanks @KaleebtheMighty as always for the smooth talks

Awesome job as GM @Acydburn and congrats on your tenure. Glad to see you're not stepping away from the league completely.

I don't like playing bots, so this helps remove (hopefully) some of the minutes being used up by bots. Thanks @Frank nice & easy

Another Season... Another Jersey Retirement
InstantRockstar posted a topic in VHL Team Announcements
Last season, I got to retire one of my best friends in the league, and one of my favourite users I've gotten a chance to interact with. This time around... another amazing user, great friend and just overall amazing person that spent the entirety of their career attempting to bring a cup to LA. During their tenure, they had such an amazing impact on the team, and was easily a top blueliner for the franchise throughout. At the end of his tenure, this player became captain and lead us to what would be easily one of the most memorable runs we'd have as a franchise, and while we fell short, I felt so proud of the efforts made and the contributions from this player. Without further ado... I raise one more into the rafters.. -
Which VHLM teams have produced the most VHL GMs?

I'm on this list way too much hahaha. I feel old -
Accepted. After clearing my head through the off-season and shaking off what could've been, I'm happy I was finally able to make something happen and give this team everything I've got for what will likely be our final 'competitive' season for a bit with all the retirements. Could not be happier to add such an outstanding member & player such as @twists to the franchise. Thank you @Spartan for the quick & easy dealings, and best of luck to Moscow.

Calgary Wranglers, End of an Era
InstantRockstar replied to Ricer13's topic in VHL Team Announcements
Always sad and disappointing to see a tenured, and very respected GM step down. We've had a lot of fond memories while GMing together but furthermore, always a positive & pleasant experience even before I became a GM. Have to say a huge hats off to you for everything you've done with Calgary and even your prior GMing experience at prior levels. Good stuff to you, for recognizing yourself that the time just wasn't there anymore, going out YOUR way, vs being 'taken' out of the role. Enjoy some more of your free time, and I suppose never say never to a return to the reigns? Best of luck with IRL stuff! I know you're not leaving, but hopefully all goes smooth. -
I can offer my gfx services to make someone a graphic of their choosing. Can be a desktop background, league graphic or even a social graphic, whatever someone wants

Cologne Express Press Conference

1. What do you think of the teams performance now we close in towards the trade deadline? Still smack dab in the middle of the pack, not a bad place to be, especially with only so many teams making it. Would've liked to see some deals made to improve the team at TDL but such is life. 2. Should the team make any moves, perhaps brining players in or trading some away? Most teams are overflowing with talent so I understand why moves weren't going to be easy to make. 3. What do you think of your players start to the season so far are you performing above or below expected? It's ass, really disappointing honestly but it seems like the E Is just too full, despite the league feeling it necessary to contract, teams are just overflowing with similar players, making it impossible to stand out. 4. Have we got it in us to win another cup and complete the three-peat and who is our biggest challenger? I'd like to see it happen being I'm only in the E one season, would be nice to win a cup before I move up. 5. Are any players in the league surprising you so far perhaps in a good or bad way? Not really one way or the other, other than my player. Very harsh and my own critic when it comes to my performance, just not been happy with it. 6. If you could pick the lines and ice time what set-up would you do for our team? I may try some suggestions we get! Active players to the top imo. Guys who are earning max, etc should be outplaying older players who aren't earning max and have been on the team for 3-4 seasons and just aren't really earning. Just my observation... -
Last season, a sweep by Prague ended the hopes of LA fans, staff and players in one big blur. One minute, it looked like LA may actually win their first ever championship, the next minute... pain & sadness. This season, LA continues to show their 'dominance' as they are on pace to end first or second in the NA conference, however looking over at the EU conference, they know that their arch nemesis now in Prague, along with a few others like the leading Riga Reign are going to be a hard few teams to combat. LA also looks to have another contender for MVP this season, while captain Todd Cooke was the MVP last season, this season it is seemingly going to be Sunglasses Joyo if he continues at the pace he's currently been performing. All we know, is that the playoffs are one hell of a beast and the regular season seems to be mean absolutely nothing until you get to the finals. LA is going to continue to do their best to dominate, then dominate through each of their playoff opponents until reaching the very end. But this season.. this is the one GM Z. Gagnon is saying will be the one, and he's destined to achieve 'greatness' before reaching the possible end of his tenure.

Cologne Express Press Conference

1. What do you think of managements choice of Captain and Alternate Captain's this season? Excellent choices imo. Players that have proven loyalty and are atop of their game in terms of practice hours. 2. If your player could change to any other position on the team which would you choose and why? Probably defense tbh, I enjoy playing center but I've always been a big fan of playing as a defender, per my track record with players. 3. What is your expectation for production this year for goals and assists, and for goalies SV% and GAA? Honestly I don't have many expectations. I'm not really considered a "top player" this year in the E, so I'm just along for the ride really. 4. What do you think of the teams start to the season so far are we performing above or below expected? Right in the "middle of the pack" right now and honestly not far off being considered a top 2 team. I think with a big push and continued activity & updates we'll be right up there for contention. 5. What do you think of your players start to the season so far are you performing above or below expected? I always like to HOPE for the best, but it's been mediocre really. So many great roster players, that it's tough to standout which is fine by me. I don't mind being more of a role player. 6. If you could pick out a nickname for myself and Fradin what would you call us and why? The choo-choo's. I'm French, this was always something that was more of an inside joke with my family, fitting for yourselves. -
For the first time in existence, LA made it to the finals, and despite the sweep and the brooms being brought out against them, it was a step in the right direction. With cap not increasing however and a lot of expiring contracts, a lot of media outlets and "insiders" had counted LA out for their rebound season, but the GMing and management team had other plans. Despite not being able to retain every single player from the infamous finals series roster, the team was able to retain most of it's core, while adding some tremendous players to boot. Now 16 games in, the team is sitting in 2nd of the NA conference with a 12-4 record, while leading the league in a positive goals for/against tally. The rally seems to be going smooth and the team looks to continue to bring their full effort the whole course, attempting to bring it back to the finals once again. LA has a lot of work to do here however as they are limited in "future" assets and will likely be forced into a retool/rebuild in the very... very near future.... or will they?

Little late but... better than never so they say! Going to make this short, yet sweet, kinda... Our captains for the season are....... @Gustav Art Vandelay as ASSSSSISSTANT CAPTAIN #1. Our goalie, our rock between the pipes, and a player that has been with us their whole career and committed again this season, felt it was about time we put a letter on your jersey. @JetsGoalie101 Sunglasses Joyo as ASSSSSISSTANT CAPTAIN #2. One of the backbones of LA for many seasons now, it's only fitting that you finally get your time in the limelight for the team. Thank you for all you've done for LA thus far! AANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD THE CAPTAIN! We've had some amazing captains over the seasons, and they've all done an absolutely incredible job. It is my great pleasure to take the next step... @KRZYTood Cooke... where do I begin. You trusted me from the get-go with Cooke, you've been my AGM for many seasons now, and you've been one of the most crucial pieces of LA. While you've worn the A many times before, it is finally your time to lead the troops to war. Wear it with pride, wear it with honour and most importantly... wear it while we try to win the cup! Thanks team

A big momentous occasion this off-season as Theo Allard's next chapter begins in the VHL, however it was double the fun as Allard actually got the satisfaction of partaking in two different drafts to find out where his current home would be this season (VHLE) as well as his upcoming home when he turns pro in the VHL. First actually came the VHL draft (which was kinda random for order sake) to which Allard 'fell' down the list quite a bit, eventually landing with his great friend @FrostBeard and the DC Dragons. Never having the pleasure of actually playing for DC or even having an association to DC, Allard really took this as a fun little challenge, and also is allowing his team to put a lot of faith in him to be one of the future 'stars' on the team. As for his present team, the VHLE draft was just as funky, howver Allard ended up going to the team that had about 3/4 of the picks, in Cologne. Unfamiliar with the team, despite having had his agent oppose Cologne while he GM'd for Rome way back when, this was going to be another fun task where Theo has one full year to showcase all of his talents, and hopes to do so in a huge way.
