  1. very welcome! Enjoy it
  2. *Note, I was asked NOT to do a jersey change, this is why it's standard. @okochastar
  3. 1). How much do you HATE the VHFL format? Don't love it, don't hate it, I'm in-between. 2). On a scale of 1-12 (12 being the most, 1 being the least), what would you rate the month of April? It's boring for me, a lot of my family has like life events and just events in general more in the Summer so, April is mid. 3). Who do you think is an under the radar player on New York that no one is talking about as a prediction award recipient? I have no idea tbh simply because I don't know who people predicted from our team xD 4). What ring tone do you use on your personal cell phone? Basic apple ringtone because I don't care for fancy ones lol 5). Who do you think will be last in the blood bath that is the North American conference? Waaay too early to tell, but we need to pickup the slack fosho. 6). Pringles? Pizza flavour? goated.
  4. Kennedy won ROTY last season while on a team that couldn't make it out of the basement part of the league. As a goalie, it's hard enough to get stats that would qualify you for the honor of winning such an award, but being a goalie that isn't among on one of the top teams is even harder, yet somehow Kennedy overcame the odds and won his first ever major league piece of hardware. This season, Kennedy is looking to steal the show once again, and while the beginning of the season hasn't quite turned out how he had hoped it would, he has noticed that his stats continue to dangle right up there with some of the more experienced vets. Currentlly, Kennedy sits 4th in SV% as well as 3rd in GAA, as if this wasn't impressive enough, he also has only allowed the 7th most amount of goals, while seeing the third most amount of shots. Some would question how Kennedy is doing it, but even he is amazed by the results thus far. His dream is to help the Americans soar like he knows they can do, but until that time comes, he will continue to his part in the crease, ensuring he gives his team every single ounce of his being that he can possibly give. All he can ask for in return, is the same effort from the rest of the crew on the ice! #oneteamonedream
  5. 1. What do you feel has been your biggest obstacle since returning to the VHL? 2. Do you feel your enjoyment level is higher or lower than it has been in the past? 3. Who do you think was your best overall player, whether it be successful or just most enjoyable for you. 4. What, if anything would you like to see changed to improve the overall experience in the league? 5. Do you think the social aspect of the league is positive, negative, toxic, etc? 6. If you could hold any job in the league, what would it be? and why?
  6. Not a clue what to talk about, honestly just so sick I don't really care, just need TPE. My player is meh, so I'm not expecting too much out of him this season. As a goalie it's really difficult to prepare for a season because really the games outcome is only going to happen "good" if the whole team is playing well, if I'm playing well it doesn't do too much if I let in a goal or two here or there so I have to hope the change in GM, the change in teammates and just the atmosphere will put us over the hump. I know I won rookie of the year which was sweet honestly and super unexpected since the team did so bad but I suppose at the pro level, record doesn't matter like it does in the E and the M, and the actual stats matter more here (finally). I was robbed in my honest opinion at both other levels so that's always fun, but nice to get some proper recognition from GM's lol. Anyways yeah, this is me rambling and babbling and whatever you want to call it, I'm looking forward to this season but also not, so we'll see how it goes and see how I feel, who knows I may be bed ridden the whole damn season the way I'm going.
  7. NEW YORK AMERICANS OFFSEASON PRESS CONFERENCE For Week-Ending of August 28, 2022 1). When was the last time you got a haircut? Probably a month or so ago? 2). What was your favorite video game when you were in 4th grade? Rampage or probably Mario Party 3). Does the tortoise beat the hare if the race is downhill? Probably because it can just hide in it's shell and roll down the hill, won't hurt itself and can just SPEEDDDD. 4). What planet in our solar system best represents your mood today? Mars because of no particular reason at all. 5). What is one unique talent you have and show your friends on occasion? I can kinda sing but not really sing, but whenever we have small get togethers I'll bust out the acoustic and jam with them. 6). Is your player participating in any off-season tournaments? I think the world cup?
  8. LA said they had some big off-season plans and they weren't kidding. Starting off the off-season before the draft even happened they made some moves, the biggest one being acquiring the likes of Sirdsvaldis Miglaskems, a center from the Seattle Bears who then agreed to an immediate contract extension that would guarantee him his role with LA for the next two seasons. Once the team was done with adding their big C, they also added another great winger in Jason Argos who will provide immediate support along the wing and add to the incredible depth LA has working for them. Focusing on the draft, LA went in and truthfully was expecting not to draft, they had some plans to move some of their picks which fell through, so instead they went and drafted some incredible players. The most noteable of the picks were 3 players, Sunglasses Joyo (C) was taken with the 18th OA pick, Reno Reinhold (D) taken with the 20th OA pick just 2 picks later and then finally a bit of a gem, Alexander Minion (G) who was taken with the 36th OA pick and is already progressing quite well for a later round pick. Overall, the team that wasn't anticipating to draft at all walked away with a potential future top 6 C, a future top 4 D and a potential backup (then future starter) goalie for the distant future. LA is very happy with how the off-season has gone.
  9. @thadthrasher holy shit it happened! LFG!! Thaddy Daddy to the big show! @KaleebtheMightyalso well deserved, working with you in the E, it's going to be a lot of fun having you in the pros. Congrats!
  10. I needed a C, I obtain a C. Thank you @Banackock for always making talks easy as possible. @FrostBeard you know how happy I am to have you on the team via our conversation, but just know I am excited to make this thing official! Lets go!
  11. @Spartan a pleasure buddy, really enjoy our talks always. @Insypher I really look forward to your time you'll be spending in LA welcome!
  12. Love going down a spot oh well haha. Edit: I now see I've always been 5th, so... yay for not falling?...
  13. Last week I adressed some of the plans for LA but probably left people with more questions than answers. I'm not going to be providing many more answers because... some things should always remain behind closed doors but what I will say as continuation from last week is... expect LA to be busy. We're not really ruling out any possibilites outside of touching our active core players currently on the roster. LA is also expecting to be quite busy during the draft, and has actually come out and said... nothing is impossible when it comes to trades pertaining to draft picks and possibly even prospects if it fills the roster up a bit quicker now. Currently, LA holds multiple picks next year, and two firsts (currently 4th and 15th) as well as two seconds. Will LA look completely different from the off-season to regular season? According to the GM and insiders for the team, the possibility is there that this team will have huge upside potential moving forward.
  14. Much love & respect Fres for stepping up for the team when you did. Understandable this was never going to be permanent for you but I appreciate you stepping up and making it a fun season.
  15. NEW YORK AMERICANS PRESS CONFERENCE For Week-Ending of August 21, 2022 1). The Lottery Tournament just came out and New York has a 10.0% chance at the first overall pick. Do you think we have a good chance at winning the tournament? Spoiler, I believe its done and we did as good as possible lol 2). Seattle made it to the finals in a pretty convincing 5-game series against DC. What's their secret? Bana, Bana is their secret lol 3). What is your player's favorite thing to do during the off-season? Spend quality time with the family where its uninterrupted unlike during the season when we're constantly away from home. 4). Who do you think is the best troll in the VHL? The worst? I'll likely get reported if I say so, not going into it. 5). Yourself not included, what VHL player has the best name? Probably Zaza Colors if we're talking current. 6). Have you ever suggested something to the BOG or commissioners and had it REJECTED? If so, what was it?? Nope not that i am aware of, I just try to fly under the radar, do my shit, do my job and that's it haha.
  16. Sad to see you step down. We had that bitter rivalry in the finals in my last season of the E and it was some of the most fun I've had as a GM honestly, was fun to face someone I consider a friend. Good luck on the future in the league, whatever it may be for you
  17. NEW YORK AMERICANS PRESS CONFERENCE For Week-Ending of August 14, 2022 1). First things first, do you think Riga was robbed in their 5-game series against Davos? Yes, yes I do. 2). Are you surprised Jerome @MexicanCow123 was atop the individual leaders in the wild card round? Not really tbh, established player. 3). Semi final round in North America; who do you WANT to see in the finals? It's not us so I don't really care 4). Semi final round in Europe: who do you WANT to see in the finals? Also... don't care we don't have a shot, this seasons done to me lol 5). Would you ever manage a VHL team? Have you ever managed a VHL team? Have before, am again now, and loving it 6). What is your favorite non-VHL fantasy sport that you participate in? Football
  18. We caught up with NY goalie Augustus Kennedy after a private session at the rink where he was working with his goalie coach during the off-season. He was willing to give a bit of an interview as we asked a very crucial question.... where is New York going to be this season and what direction will they be taking? "Obviously our exact plans stay behind closed doors with the management team but I can tell you that the team is looking to move in a very positive and upward direction. I'm very excited for how the team is going to shape and how our chances will be also. I know that for some teams they are still playing but for those of us that unfortunately didn't make it, we've just got to move past this current season and focus on the future, and that's exactly what I'm doing, no days off. I plan to be a top goaltender in this league and this is going to be one of the ways I do it, by having one of the best work ethics and grind tactics in the league. Expect to see me all over the award scene soon..." And then Kennedy tipped his cap and walked away back to his car. He's made some bold statements and now we'll have to follow his career to hold him to it.
  19. LA GM Zack G was interviewed earlier by the media and was asked a very simple question... "what is LA going to look like next season" to which the GM had this to say: "We're going to look different... a lot different. I'm not the type of GM to sit back and just watch a team grow or hope that it grows with absolutely no effort being made. I've won a few championships through my tenures in the other leagues while waiting for my come-up and that is exactly my end goal for LA also. A lot of teams say "build solely from the draft and then keep on building from the draft" but for me, now that a core has been established, maybe now is the best time to make a bit of a splash, but I won't say too much more, the rest will stay behind these locked doors, however just know we'll be big players pre-draft, and post-draft while the offseason brews. I'd also like to say good luck to all my fellow GM's fighting for that big shiny championship." Ended with a heartfelt message to his team, Zack G then stepped away from the podium.
