can somebody fill me in on the logic behind this trade please
Basically, SDM needed to be pick compliant, 2nds to replace the 1sts, 4ths to replace the 3rds

Condition invalid, condition criteria must be met by the end of the S92->S93 offseason (which this will not for an S94 draft pick). Either you guys remove the pick protection/condition entirely, or renegotiate the trade.
Condition is removed

@MubbleFubbles Again I apologize for the rift that I've caused between us, and am sorry we couldn't work it out, but best of luck in San Diego!
@Mysterious_FishThanks for the good trade talks! Once compliance gets involved everything gets a bit messy but we worked out out pretty well I'd say and I think we're both happy with the results!

Condition: The S94 SDM 1st is Top 3 Protected. If that pick falls into the top three, OTT will recieve the S95 SDM 1st instead

12th Overall - Obuz Schneider Canut du Bocage, Moscow Menace
@Grape
Spartan is one of my favorite GMs in the entirety of VHL, which is why it feels to be down on one of his selections in the first round. du Bocage no doubt belonged in the first round, but with prospects such as Banner, Zilla, and Kisslinger still available, it's hard to justify taking a defenseman who wasn’t even at the top of his positional board. As du Bocage’s teammate I hope he shatters this rating, but for now it's the biggest reach of the first round for me.Who I would have picked: Bruise Banner
14th Overall - Conference Prince-de-Galles, Prague Phantoms
I strongly feel like Prince-de-Galles was the top defenseman available at the time, so for Prague to pick him up 14th was definitely a solid pick. Strangely, Prince-de-Galles didn’t receive much post-draft hype outside of Moscow, I think he’ll definitely play up to this selection. If du Bocage and Prince-de-Galles swapped places, I’d honestly like both selections.
Who I would have picked - Conference Prince-de-Galles
Bruise Banner: 329 TPE
Xiver Zilla: 435 TPE
King Kisslinger: 628 TPE
Conference Prince-de-Galless: 479 TPE
Obuz Schneider Canet du Bocage: 661 TPE

Trading the Greatest Player of All Time
in VHL.com Articles

In a shocking turn of events, the Ottawa Lynx had traded possibly the greatest player of all time, Wayne Gretzky, to the San Diego Marlins for a hodgepodge of picks. After being drafted in the fourth round of the S91 draft, Gretzky released a statement that he was recovering from a broken everything and would miss the entirety of the season. A player of this prestige, who had already fallen far in the draft due to their extremely old age of 142 and overall rust in his game, will now be practically non-existent for a full season. Gretzky, the legend he is, was able to make a full recovery in the S91 offseason and engaged in full-contact practice, prepared and ready to hit the ground running in his highly anticipated debut. However, notice came to the GM office in Ottawa that Wayne Gretzky had demanded a trade, citing that the frigid Ottawa weather was impacting the recovery period and needed to be in a warmer location to minimize the threat of reinjury and complete pulverization of his bones. Although he did end up debuting with the Ottawa Lynx, dawning his iconic 99 once more and averaging a point per game, he was officially traded after the 2nd game of the season, tagged on with a handful of picks, to the San Diego Marlins for a bunch of better picks. As was shown before and proven once again, a team can trade for anyone, even Wayne Gretzky.
