For the week ending 4/26: 1. The trade deadline has passed us by, and the one move made by team management was to ship out @Anthony Matthews for inactive Pat Svoboda and a 3rd-round pick. How will our former noted press conference critic do in Vancouver--better, as he's playing with better players, or worse, because he's no longer the team's highest-TPE player? 2. You hear noises coming from your locker, so you look over. Pekka Pouta (@Snussu) just retired, and you think he's walking out with some of your stuff. What do you look for first, to make sure it's still there? 3. We picked up a 4-1 win over New York today! What are you doing to celebrate? 4. Speaking of New York, they are, most unfortunately, one of the league's best teams as of late, surging out of the bottom of the standings and threatening to make the playoffs in the NA conference. Do they succeed, and if so, how do I handle the pain of not having 3 of the draft's top 4 picks? 5. Roque Davis is having a great season, leading all rookies in points and most recently breaking into the top 5 for all defensemen. What type of player do you feel he needs to support him and help him run up the numbers even more in coming seasons? 6. Every single person on Reddit suddenly decides that they no longer want to click the VHL link. Recruitment slows to a crawl, and the league is forced to contract, picking Davos as a target for no good reason. So, this is pretty much right after the last one ended, and though I'd usually take a break, here's why we're kicking this one off pretty much immediately (the goal is to get things going Thursday or Friday night!). As many of you know, I'm currently in college. Getting a game started as soon as possible is the ideal time for me, as this allows the game (or, at least the super hectic parts of the game where I have to spend an hour at night figuring out what's going on) to wrap up before exams start hitting. Since a) I don't want to spend the time I should be studying staring at a Town of Salem spreadsheet and watching a forum thread pop off, and b) even if I did want to do that, it would be absolutely idiotic, we're jumping right into game 3. Otherwise, we'd be sitting here for almost a month waiting for me to start up the next one, and nobody wants that. All are welcome to sign up, but if you do, you promise to be active throughout the game, and you recognize that joining any Discord servers that pertain to your role (ex. if you're a member of the Mafia or Coven, a Vampire, a Jailor, someone who is jailed by a Jailor on any given night, and if you're dead and there is a living Medium) is MANDATORY. The winners from last game are the Town and the Guardian Angel! These people will be allowed (if they wish) to PM me a role that they'd like to receive in this coming game, with a 50% chance of receiving said role. If the same role is requested by multiple different people or if other circumstances (for example, if everyone wants to be some sort of neutral role) prevent each successful 50% chance from going through, priority will be given to those who submitted their requests first. It's the end of the sixth day. Not even a week has passed, and just over half of the town has died. Paranoia is running high, and this time it's @solas, who had claimed to be the LOOKOUT for the entire game--and given accurate information the entire time!--up to be executed. He doesn't have many last words; after all, he's said all he really could have. He's brought up and the trapdoor does what trapdoors do. He's oddly stiff, and the town soon finds out why--he's got the poker from @omgitshim's fireplace down the back of his shirt. We all know who used that poker earlier, and it was the JUGGERNAUT! Anyone who has been paying attention to the numbers knows what this means... CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WINNERS, IN DOMINANT FASHION, THE TOWN! The sixth day rolls around, and finally a night has gone by with some bad news for the town. It seems that @Mike is nowhere to be found this morning.
