I think this was all a conspiracy so @Victor will have another VHL.com article for this coming week, this one titled "Not Stepping down as Trivia Head."

Your AGM said it best, really just grammar and spelling and stuff. The content is there, but more people will want to read it if you're able to clean it up. For example, I'll re-write your article with proper grammar and spelling here... Notice how much more readable it is once you correct some things? I'd suggest typing your stuff up in Word or Google Docs first, where you'll have grammar and spell check to work with. Run through after you've finished it up and correct all you can. Also, feel free to hit me up if you have any questions or want something else read over.

Robbie went and wrote a few things which I'm sure everyone's seen and which have made an actual point--but they've also just made a lot of people needlessly annoyed. Sad about the tragedy? Don't go on social media and weep about it. Unless you have a significant personal connection to Kobe Bryant, that is cheap, fake, and disrespectful. Instead, consider expressing your feelings by making a positive difference. Don't even have to tell anyone about it, don't broadcast it. If you'd like to show that you care in an actual meaningful way, just do it and move on. MambaOnThree Fund: To donate to the families of the 7 other victims of the crash. Mamba Sports Foundation: To contribute to the Bryant family's efforts in serving the community and helping children through youth sports programs.

Pro tip: follow the "Job Interviews" forum. You'll get pinged every time a post is made, which should give you a nice jump start on the applications.

Not really a fan of this, even though popular opinion seems to be that I got screwed over. Good decisions come from experience, and experience comes from screwing up and learning from it. Did I screw up? Most here seem to think so. It's quite possible that I did--it's a decent trade if Bridges works out and I'm able to use the picks well, but that's more of an "if" than the pick I traded. But whatever, you win some, you lose some, if I've lost, so what? What if I end up drafting a future Hall-of-Famer with one of those picks and whoever Seattle goes for pulls a Bryce Zhields and disappears? Unlikely, but possible. I completely understand the negative feedback and I agree with a good amount of it, but if something like this happens I'm going to bump this thread and laugh at everyone in it. But, again, good decisions come from experience, and that from bad decisions, and I'm well aware I've got quite a few bad decisions ahead of me to learn from, and if I handle it right after the fact I'll be much better for it. What if every GM were so impressionable that they just let popular opinion tell them what to do? As much as making a (possibly) bad trade isn't a good look, it's an even worse look than going out and telling everyone "hey, I'm going to do this" and then backing out of it after you're told, in public, that this is not the right move for your team. It makes you look like you're not in control of your own situation at all--everyone else is. If I'm making Davos good, I'd like to be the one who does it. And, if it turns out in the long run that I'm a complete idiot, that will be nobody's fault but mine. Anyway, sorry for the wall of text. I actually really appreciate some of the feedback I've gotten from this deal, and a big thank you to those of you who honestly want me to do well as a GM.

I like. Maybe not scale it back this drastically, as the current norm of "being able to max stuff out if you whore" has been a thing for a while, but definitely scale it back. Garcia shouldn't be able to have 4 things at 99 and HHH shouldn't be able to have 5. We should get to a point where a 99 is really significant, not normal and expected.

After already having completed this trade and seeing what everyone has to say about it, I can say that I probably would not have gone for this had I known what the reaction would be. I probably should have kept the pick, I think I got decent value out of it but probably a stupid move nonetheless to get rid of it, unless I was getting way overpaid. Coming into this job I had no idea what I was doing (still really have no idea), so if I just did something stupid I'm hardly surprised. With that being said, though, I'm confident that if the next two drafts go well, Davos will be a good team. Since I've taken it over, activity has gone up, the team is getting more involved, our goalie is active again, and we've still got a ton of future assets. I've got a plan in place as far as drafts go and I don't believe this move, if indeed it doesn't end up going my way, will be the end of it all...we'll still be good, I'm doing all I can with what little knowledge I've got at the moment, and people still want to play for us (I think). I'm somewhat frustrated at myself now that I see that the popular opinion seems to be that this sucked, but right now it's just up to me to make something out of it. And that's something I fully intend to do and do well.
