Well, we're officially kicking this thing off. You've read the rules (but I know half of you really haven't, so here they are again). I believe I've pinged all of you your roles, but if you haven't gotten anything from me, you can safely assume that your role is REGULAR TOWN. So, anyway, the first day phase begins NOW (and ends at 9 PM EST, when the night phase begins, and we just alternate every 12 hours). Begin and discuss. "Do I actually suck" Nobody is bad at graphics, you're just a beginner. Keep at it and you'll be making good stuff in no time. (I'd never call myself good, but I managed to get to "passable" within 5 or 10 tries. Play around with stuff, find tutorial videos and watch them. Most important thing is just to keep practicing)

"There was more than one person who have English as their second language" I actually love reviewing as a constructive way to fix grammar, and I've typed out long replies about grammar for people who have asked for them, but I'd hate the idea of losing TPE over the most minor mistakes. if the entire essay is writen like this and no attention is paid to the conventions of standard american english then ya i agree All jokes aside, I'd love for reviewers to go a bit beyond "a few grammar mistakes" and actually explain what should be changed, but I prefer the current system over something where missing a comma gets you docked.

Gosh dern, more questions! I'll get to you next week @Laflamme, I promise. Never have, I love the band but I've never been alive at the same time as Jerry Garcia, so I never got to see them. I've seen Dead and Company, though. Good stuff. You know, I've never factored whether or not my player does into his storyline. We'll leave that up in the air for the moment. I do, though! I've signed a career-long extension with Malmo, and as far as I'm concerned that's good enough. Barring something horribly wrong happening, I doubt I'll retire before I have to. I've heard that a team with great forwards but limited defensive depth will do better than a team with great defense but limited forward depth. So, I'd lean towards offense, but any player of mine can confirm that I am very much in favor of all my players, forwards included, having solid defensive attributes--defense, skating, and puck handling all to at least 70 in the VHLM. I've found that with a second round draft pick, it's generally pretty safe to say that whoever you're picking up will do more than this. It depends on the season, though--if we're not a good team, I might prefer a consistent earner who will stay down next season and be a high-TPE guy then. A cup and at least one individual award. I've said this many times before, but I'll say it again--Apollo Hackett (@Renomitsu) is a wonderful person who also happens to worship me. That's a reason if I've ever seen one. I'll hit your last question next week so I can have 6 then.

Agreed, for sure. I don't agree with any sort of language which could be taken as an insult against any group (for example, a solid point was raised yesterday in that you wouldn't use "this is black" as an insult, for very obvious reasons), so I don't agree with the language used yesterday and any such language used in the past. I also believe that the discussion on the matter could have been handled a lot better (and most of the drama could have been avoided entirely) had SBA leadership chosen to open the conversation with anything more civil than "eat shit." The thing that really stood out to me as worrisome for this league was when, after the thread had been shut down, some people decided to turn to Discord and dig their heels in and make us actually look like a hateful community rather than a group of collectively well-meaning people in which some instances of this sort of thing have managed to fly under the radar. I'm disappointed by how the situation was handled by the SBA, but this to me was the part where the actions of some of the members of this league went from "ok, that's not cool, but let's learn something from this and move forward" to "ok, that's not cool at all, and I'd like you to shut up." I do hope that at some point our league's relationship with the SBA may be repaired, and that we may also move forward as a better community.
