  1. Stop the presses, hot off the presses, here ye here ye, and etc. Houston Bulls win the Season 98 VHLM Playoffs. In a surprise to none the best team in the minor league won the cup cementing them as in fact the best team. The team was carried by the best goalie in the VHLM Bartholomew Lorequavius. This beast of a goalie had 6 shutouts in 15 games and nearly a 95 save percentage. The team also had 4 of the top point scorers in the playoffs. Feka Ohi Kau (D), Hunter s(LW), Gingy (C), and Dog Jagr were the top four. Not far behind was Jack Jack (D), Cardinal Copia (RW), and Alex Bridges IV (RW). In sports they say any given Sunday but sometimes the best team truly comes out on top. This is one of those times that the team with the best goalie, the best forwards, the best defenseman, and most certainly the best backup goalie took the cup.
  2. 1) I think we have been taking it easy on Halifax just to make the league think it's fair. We really are the best team, and we don't need to do anything different we're just letting them win a couple games. 2) I haven't watched any of the NHL playoffs yet. 3) I haven't looked at these yet either to be honest. 4) I bought a camper for the family. 5) Supporting Canada or Russia difficult choice we'll go with Calgary since they are a legacy franchise. 6) Impossible to pick just one but I've been big on there nerds gummies lately and peanut butter sponge candy.
  3. So many illiterate people in the VHL these days. Spelled my name wrong again. It's all these cell phones with the texting short form and emojis.
  4. It all came down to the simming. Those old NHL and Madden leagues that kept failing required so much effort on a few select people. STHS was a game changer.
  5. The Season 100 Victory Hockey League Draft is supposed to be a thing of legends. The centennial season of the VHL where all members crawl out of the woodwork to recreate. The monumental season where people have synched up their recreate or retired early to be part of Season 100. We all know it’s just a number, but it does feel special to say one hundred. This is all too early first glance at the draft that is nearly 20 years in the making. Currently the draft has 67 prospects as someone who has been gone for a while is that monumental? For reference let’s look back a little Season 99 has 43 prospects, 98 had 42, 97 had 73, 96 had 50, and 95 had 53. First glance if you omitted Season 97, we’re off to a great start though many people probably were hoping for a ridiculous class of people. With someone new declaring today, yesterday, and the day before we can see the numbers still rising. Wouldn’t it be something to see 100 draftees for Season 100? Get out there and keep recruiting. Now let’s take a deeper dive into the composition of the draft. Of the 67 prospects thus far, we have 60 skaters and 7 goaltenders. The total number of forwards are 42 of which 20 are centers, 12 on left wing, and 10 on right wing. That leaves the final 18 skaters to be defenseman. Not a bad mix of skill, position, builds, activity, new players, old players, and the like. In the short time we’ve seen these players in 20 or so VHLM games how do these players grade out? I’m currently grading 8-11 prospects as first round worthy talents. Players that could legitimately fight for depth minutes in their rookie season. I’m seeing 10-16 second round prospects. Players with real VHL potential that might require another season in the minors before moving up to the VHL. Another 10 or so third round players that will eventually make the VHL might it could take some time and extended development. Finally with the remaining draft looking like long-term projects or career VHLM players. As a fellow Season 100 draftee I’ve got a vested interest into this draft class. I’ll plan on closely monitoring the draft and providing real insight and data over time. I’ve taken a snippet of the current TPE and players. In a few weeks or a month, I’ll write a follow up media spot talking about movers up and down the list. I’ll take another look into the total number of players and see how things have progressed. On a side note, I just want to say how happy I am the league made it this far to 100 seasons. As someone who was part of the VHL since the beginning in fact pre-dating in a shortly run league ESHL (using EA NHL) it’s wild to see. So many members I haven’t met yet and a shockingly number of those still around again nearly 20 years later. Thanks Mike
  6. If I get paid TPE for this, I'll sign up. I promise physical and emotional harm on all players of my team. Anything to keep the VHL active and growing. I will use psychological warfare the likes this league has never seen to keep them doing point tasks on a weekly basis.
  7. Some have started to notice Season 100 center and draft prospect Kyle Kyleson. The have been recent articles about his playoff success and I'm here to set the record straight. Already labeled the bust of the Season 100 draft despite not yet being drafted Kyleson scored his first vhlMINOR league goal. You don't have to be a critic to question his ability after playing twenty games in the minors and not scoring a single goal despite being on arguably the best VHLM team ever. In fact, in those 20 games the only point this young Houston Bull managed to record was a single assist. His new combined stat line in 24 career games in 1 goal and 1 assist. The most positive thing you can say about him is he has a +5 in those games now despite his team basically playing shorthanded with him on the ice. As an impartial writer with high integrity and no bias whatsoever I say GMs do yourself a favor and do not draft this guy.
  8. Very disappointed in the lack of coverage on the Houston vs Ottawa backup goalie debate.
  9. 1) It doesn't matter if they predicted us to go undefeated or lose every game there's no chance this team loses. 2) Not a flipping chance. 3) More free TPE for super veteran's of the league. 4) I don't think it'll be easy but the Penguins are going to make it happen. 5) My player has 0 games played there's no celebration I mostly play Risk on the bench. Then I skate out for the team hug after we win. 6) There is no extra Easter break time for Americans who work.
  10. Made my sig thanks.
  11. I had to steal that audio from a movie on 1 YT clip then the audio from a song on another YT clip. Then I had to download a free video editor start editing together only to start over when that first free one wouldn't let me export without buying the paid version. I could have wrote a 1500 word MS in the time it took me to make that silly little video!!!
  12. How much effort do you have to put into a video to get someone to let you claim for more than 1 week?
  13. Bartholomew Lorequavius has had a fine season for Houston getting an average 22 shutouts so far. Fans are starting to notice cracks and are wondering when there will be a change between the pipes. In 65 games this season Lorequavius has lost 8 games in regulation. Those quick to defend him will point to his 92.4 save% but they completely ignore his 7.6 not goals saved percentage. While most fans and sports pundits agree it's time for a change the thought then goes to who would replace him. If you follow the VHLM closely like anyone reading this article would know they recently signed S100 draft prospect Michael Szatkowski III. Szatkowski III has unquestioned VHL pedigree but more importantly his stats speak for themselves. He has not lost 1 game ever in the VHL in fact he has not even let in a goal yet. Mind blown the choice is clear heading into the playoffs.
  14. 1) If we are being honest basically all individual awards should be handed to this team. Every award every position. 2) I don't watch basketball and don't know what that award is. 3) The only motivation needed is the thought about beating other people. 4) SpongeBob that guy slaps hard. 5) I think the team needs a change at goalie. 6) The moment the Buffalo Bills ended the playoff drought and made the playoffs again finally after nearly 20 years away. The team freaking out in the lockerroom.
  15. Regardless of where we are drafted, we rejoin Riga for 1 season as FAs at some point.
  16. Oh, silly farmer Jardy thinks he can rival me.
  17. You spelled my name wrong.
  18. 1) Best minor league roster in the history of the VHL it is all but certain. 2) Not watching NCAA tonight, the only sport is NFL. 3) As someone who was around at the beginning and the league predating the VHL I can't believe it's still going this strong with many expansions. 4) Always football before school, during breaks, and after school good ole American tackle football. Used to break my glasses all the time. 5) There's a brand-new oak bench I look especially forward to sitting on it for the rest of the season. 6) Every day is a vacation when you have imagination
  19. Due to the fact that I have been gone from this league for 30 seasons I expect no chance to earn this job. However, I have a history of being a GM in the VHL with moderate success. Calgary appears to be an aging team on the end of their existing run. They will need someone to run through the final leg of their current roster and retool them for the future. I believe if given the chance I could be that person. Feel free to message me for any follow up questions. I plan on going all in with my new S100 player with a level of commitment that I haven't given to the league since the first 30-40 seasons when I was a regular contributor. Thanks
  20. I'm taking requests if anyone needs a new signature.
  21. I mentioned you in my first point task in a decade.
  22. Mike The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be. #1 Goat St. The Best, USA 00001 (000) 000-0001 Mike@aol.com Introduction Here is my personal VHL resume. I am seeking a job in the VHL that will pay me maximum TPE each week in return for minimum effort. You may hear others slander my record or abilities but know they are all lying. I can be trusted to do any required task and will do so to adequate ability. Please respond to this post with the job you’d like to offer me in the VHL. I’ll also be representing Michael Szatkowski III - Goalie in the Season 100 draft. Skills I have a long history of being the best at everything. I started as the best child, became the best teenager, and ended up becoming the best adult. I’ve had almost every job the VHL has to offer from recruiting manager, general manager, magazine person, VHL Facebook admin, updater, World Cup GM, World Cup Administrator, and the list goes on virtually endlessly. A very humble guy but I just want to remind everyone that I did all the jobs and did them all the best. Experience S40ish-Currently, Unemployed From around the early Season 40s until the Season 70s I was mostly unemployed. By choice of course not by a lack of skills or ability. I took a long VHL sabbatical. Came back for a short time around the 70s in a substitute adjunct kind of way and then disappeared again until now at Season 100. S40ish Seattle Bears GM I stepped in temporarily as the Seattle Bears GM. I vaguely remember not many people were interested. The team was in a bit of a limbo situation and tried to help turn it around a bit but was no longer super interested in the league. Eventually stepped down giving GM to Bananananahammock who might still be running the team. S30ish Riga Reign GM Ended a world class long historic rise of failure. The team had a long run of missing the playoffs and not winning a Cup. Had a ton of great players, loved the time there. We generally fell short but ultimately did bring home a cup. We found a way to win by creating a strategy never seen before in the VHL. Trading away the league’s best goalie for an inactive and winning the cup. I’ve been told this is now a popular strategy that I take full credit for. S10ish Toronto Legion GM First cup win in franchise history. Education I have no formal certificates of proficiency and have weak grammar. I believe all periods should end with a double space. I feel commas are overrated but I can use the following programs: Microsoft Office League of Legends Robinhood STHS Discord Awards Mike Szatkowski award named in my honor given to the best person in the league that year or something like that. The league wanted to name every award after me but they felt it would be too confusing.
