With Minnesota now eleven games into the season with a 6-5 record, the Storm are doing their best to find their stride. Starting the season with a 4-1 roll that was capitalized with back-to-back shootout wins for the Storm, they looked like they were quickly placing themselves at the top of the league and continuing last years success. However, they have since stumbled to the sixth spot in the rankings. Having the chance to speak with members of the coaching team about the teams performance so far they stressed that it is still very early in the season and there are going to be some growing pains that will have to be worked through. "We have a lot of great young guys on the team, but they are young. They have been doing more than we even expected of them so far, and I know they are going to settle in even more as the season goes on. Don't sleep on these boys." It is impossible to deny that these fresh-faced players have already taken leadership. With ten goals and thirteen points on the season, Mat Tocco has already positioned himself as the offensive quarterback of this team. With the combination of Mat Tocco leading the offensive drives and Boone Jenton bolstering the defensive side of the ice with a team high of both twenty-five shots blocked and thirty-four hits, this team definitely seems like it is moving in the right direction. It will be exciting to see how Minnesota develops as the season goes on.

(Full Disclosure: Stole these from Las Vegas press conference) 1 which VHLM team has surprised you the most so far? I'd have to say Mexico City has been the most surprising so far this season, I know being an expansion team can have some additional obstacles so it's very impressive how well they've been doing already. 2 what would you say to a friend to get them to join the VHL? I would first mention the idea that you get to create your own personal player and develop their skills however you'd like. Everyone likes to be able to personalize their own characters. I'd also stress how awesome the community already is and that there is always something going on in the site. 3 if you could have added your own expansion team, where would it have been? I thought it would be pretty cool to have an Australian team, not very realistic but thats part of the fun 4 what other sim leagues are you involved in? The VHL is the only sim league i'm in right now 5 are you watching GOT at all? Yes! I've been watching since the beginning since I had read the books as well. Interested to see how theyre going to wrap this up 6 best vacation spot ever? My personal favorite is Lake Norman in North Carolina, so much fun in the summer.

With the VHLM pre-season practices well under way, Boone Jenton seems to be finding his stride with the Minnesota Storm team. Being the first, and only, defenseman drafted by the Storm this year, there were some high expectations for Jenton as he joined the team, and in what seems to have become the norm, he has been exceeding those already lofty expectations. His defensive IQ, which he had been highly regarded for in his past play leading into the draft, seems to be ringing true in the short time he has been able to work with the team. Especially in tandem with with fellow defensman Andreas Sundell complimenting him. We have not been able to confirm with Minnesota's management, but it looks like Jenton will be getting a majority of time at the top line. Although, knowing that Minnesota is only fielding three defensemen at the moment, we believe there will be some rotations at work trying to find the perfect balance. We have also heard reports the team will be furiously scoping the the free agency pool in order to bolster their somewhat small defensive corp. Even will the the almost certain addition of skilled defensemen to the team, it looks as if Jenton is already cementing himself as a premier d-man for the Storm.

1.What VHL team logo do you like best? I really like the look of Moscow's logo, pretty bad ass for sure. Malmo is a close second though. 2. What VHLM team do you want to be drafted by? I was just drafted by Minnesota and I couldn't be happier. Although, they are the standing champs from last season so we're going to have a lot to live up to this coming one. 3. Is your player a blonde, brunette or redhead? I gotta go with brunette, his hair is usually caked in mud anyways so it doesn't really matter much. 4. Weirdest thing in your hockey bag? Pork Rinds, it was always his favorite snack to have growing up so he always likes to keep an emergency stash where he can reach them. 5. Colored tape for your stick, totally yes or absolute no? why? He actually doesn't use any tape at all, said he doesn't like the way it feels. 7. What is your goal/ fight song? She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy by Kenny Chesney
