  1. Name: Mikhail Vega Age: 19 Birthday: July 11th, 1998 Birth Place: Stockholm, Sweden Jersey Number: 88 Height: 6'2 Weight: 200lbs Descritption Mikhail grew up in a very luxurious part of Stcokholm and his parents were quite well off. He went to some of the highest class schools in all of the world and in doing so, learned of some of the greatest sports programs to follow suit. Because of this privilege, Mikhail has learned a multitude of skills to base his game around and despite being very young, he's knowledgeable of the game both on and off the ice. This leads us to believe that his game is only going to flourish as he ages, matures and trains. Below is the scouting report provided to us on both the positives and the negatives of his game. Pros Passing - Mikhail has been known since joining the league as a pass-first player. A lot of the times we do not see this kind of one-sided offensive game often but this time around, it's working in his favor. While he doesn't have the supporting cast some of the other prospects do on their team, he's been leading the way on Ottawa and because of this passing skill, he's put up some brilliant points and made some very eye-catching plays. If he continues to improve on this skill as we assume he will, he'll be ready for the pros in no-time. Face-offs - Obviously a key skill for any centerman is face-offs and Mikhail is very much ahead of the game when it comes to this skill. This season he's been one of the best and most consistent in the circle and has proven to really capitalize on big opportunities when they arise. Mikhail has demonstrated to us that again with some more practice he could execute his face-offs at a more mature and fast paced game leading to him dominating the circle at a younger age then some anticipated. Skating - One thing Mikhail has always prided himself with is being a fast player and there is no exception for him since joining the league. He's speedy, agile and able to out-skate most of his fellow classmates in this years draft class. In doing so, he's proven that he's capable of not only out-skating players to make big plays in the opposing end, but also skating back into position at his side of the ice to forecheck and allow for more defensive play, this could easily play into his two-way game he plans to build towards. Cons Shooting - Some scouts may hate to see this but it is what it is. Mikhail has been very open about being a guy that's going to set-up some of the leagues best and while most focus on their shooting, just like as we spoke about, Mikhail isn't one of them. Very recently, he was asked by coaching staff and peers alike to start working on it a bit, and so he has, however this isn't going to be a primary focus for him as he plans to get most of his points through assisting others. He believes with his high skill in the passing game, that there is no reason for anyone to doubt his offensive talents just simply by not scoring. Strength - Despite being big and bulky, one thing that Mikhail just recently began to work on is his strength. While he's speedy, agile and very swift, one thing he is lacking is the use and ability to body people off the puck and use his body effectively to keep the puck by shielding it. As we mentioned, this con should be fixed very soon however as his statistic has almost improved fifteen points since just weeks ago, meaning he could see a quick rise in the way he uses his body and conditioning to strengthen himself up. Leadership - This is likely not a secret here, but despite being wise beyond his years, at nineteen years old, Mikhail does not have the experience to call himself a leader in the pro world or even in the VHLM for this matter. Being so young, more times than not, the older guys are usually relied on for how long they've been in the game, and despite playing since he was younger, to Mikhail, that still means inexperience. There is likely going to be no gain in this skill until his later years in the league once he begins to develop that pro knowledge, so if you want someone to come in and be your captain, he can try, but it won't be likely he'll contribute too much in that category.

  4. Its not very often that you get a player that joins the league in the sole hope to become one of the best passers in the game. Most of the time, these players are focused on scoring, or just being defensive beasts, however in the case of Mikhail Vega, his goal is to become the most elite playmaker the league has ever seen, and in ten games, he's not doing too bad. With 8 points in 10 games, he has tallied a total of 3 goals and 5 assists, living up to the name of being that playmaker the team desires. Now the age old question is being asked...will iRockstar as an agent be able to maintain the pace he's picked up here in the VHL and the VHLM or will he fade away like he previously had. Some people have speculated that he is going to flake off again, however some have their faith and will continue to watch him grow. If the VHLM seasons can prove to be strong for IR, it may keep him active however it's if his client slips that he may see some decline in his activity. Only true time will tell if he will be successful once again, in a place many years ago, he called home.
  5. nice try Ottawa, we can come back!
  6. Mikhail Vega was an interesting prospect that joined the VHLM late last season as the Ottawa Lynx were making a final push to the playoffs. Just as it seemed like things were set in stone, Vega vaguely chipped in to give them that little edge they truly needed both in the face-off circle and contributing with points. However with a very quick exit and defeat in the playoffs, Vega felt his time with Ottawa was short lived, and his future uncertain with little practice time and little time in the league in general. However his faith was restored when Ottawa decided to use their 22nd selection in the VHLM draft to take him and bring him back to the team. This time, Vega knew it was time for him to whip into shape, become the star he knew he could be, and go from there. What did Vega have to say about all of this? "An absolute honor to be coming back. Ottawa is a city I'm near and dear to, and a place that I never imagined I'd actually get to play. While I know it's going to be a bumpy road in the beginning, I don't believe that it'll be rough in the long-term sense of things. However we're going to have to see where things take me, but at this point in time, things can only go up." Vega impressed in pre-season, four games played and five points made him over a point-per-game player, and to top it off, he was a top player at his position and had over 50% face-off wins, proving he could do his job at both ends of the ice and when needed. If this can continue, we could see Vega be a top tier prospect for the VHL draft next season, but his performance will have to be next to flawless for that to happen.
  7. Post in this thread to claim welfare/pension for this week. If you are claiming welfare/pension, you cannot claim any 6 TPE Point Tasks for this week (Media Spot/Graphic/Podcast) or League jobs paying 6+ TPE. VHL Welfare Plan - Members with fewer than two 400+ TPE players may claim 4 TPE VHL Pension Plan - Members who have created two or more 400+ TPE players may claim 5 TPE VHL Affiliate Plan - Members who post a Point Task this week, in either the EFL or SBA, may link to that Point Task to claim 6 TPE Pension Eligibility Sheet There are still some unassigned players, feel free to post the missing username - player combinations in this thread, then I will update this. Note: If your name has a 4 next to it, you are now eligible to claim 5 TPE. If there is a 3, you are only eligible to claim 4 TPE unless your current player pushes you into the Pension program. If this is your first player, do not worry if you are not on the list. You are eligible for four points. Once you reach 400 TPE with your current player, if that is your second player to reach 400 TPE, you are allowed to claim the pension plan. So instead of only taking in account previous players it also accounts for your current one. Example: Green has had Remy LeBeau (TPE: 1301) in the past. Thomas O'Malley, his second player, is now past 400 TPE, he is eligible for the VHL Pension Plan. NOTE: Reminder that if you have two players, welfare/pension can only be claimed on ONE player per member each week.
