  1. 1. One of our key players Guy LeGrande was recently shipped out to Seattle for Kevin Low and a 3rd, what impact does that have on our team and locker room? Its a good move to build for our future but Guy was one of the best dmen in the VHL. He'll be missed both on and off the ice. 2. On the flip side, Kevin Low joins our defensive core as a solid addition to the backend, how does he impact our roster? I dont know too much about the guy but hopefully he can fill in for Guy. 3. After a long stretch of brutal games, we've recently beat out Calgary in the standings to move into a playoff position. How do we keep up our current pace of play and maintain this spot? I knew this was coming. Just keep going with what we're doing and we'll see success. 4. Soren Jensen currently sits tied for most points by a rookie this season, how does he represent our program and where we'll be moving forwards? He joins a tradition of strong rookies like myself and Flowers on NYA. Happy to see him doing well. 5. With only 25 games left in the season, do you expect us to move in the standings much more or hold our current position? Move up of course. Nowhere to go but up after the brutal stretch we had. 6. Of the top 10 point leaders league-wide, who are you most surprised to see? Havent really looked but I'm disappointed I'm not up there.
  2. With the New York Americans somehow in a playoff position at the moment, a lot of credit goes to young forward Dalton Wilcox with how he turned his season around. Averaging over a point per game in his last 5 games, Wilcox has helped the Americans overcome a horrific start to their season to move into a playoff position (at the moment). When asked what changed for him, Wilcox replied "Nothing. If anything I increased in magnitude what I was already doing. 2 post game beers turned to 4, one day off turned into two, weekend benders stretched into Mondays and the occasional Tuesday. Practice habits remained the same, if not worse. More shooting, less passing to teammates were all keys to my turnaround. This is sustainable and we should be aiming for victory every game from here on out. The Americans coaches are very happy with my progress and don't let them tell you otherwise." With tough matchups coming up for the Americans, this remains to be season but hopefully Wilcox continues his strong play the rest of the season.

  4. 1. Walk us through your game day routine as you prepare for a match up. Smash a couple of pre-game beers. Maybe a pizza or burger and fries if I'm feeling extra sassy. 2. Some athletes are very superstitious - do you have any lucky superstitions so you succeed in games? None. Just walk through my pregame routine and I'm good to go. 3. Who was your favorite athlete growing up? Wilt Chamberlain. 1000 kills is a hard number to reach and I admire his tenacity and drive. 5. They are casting the biopic of your life - who should play you? Whoever is best looking. Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling are all great options (no homo) 7. What should we work on so the Americans finish the season strong? We really need to step up our party game. Weekend benders need to last an actual full weekend, boys. 8. If the New York Americans rebranded they should be called the New York _____ The New York Wheel Snipe Cellys
  5. As a member of last seasons all rookie team, expectations were high for Dalton Wilcox entering S69 (nice). However, with only 19 points in 35 games, things haven't been going so well well for young Mr. Wilcox. In fact, it was one on of his weekly benders in Las Vegas was that he realized things needed to change. "it was when I was chest deep, buzzed to high heavens, in the day pool at the Encore Beach Club that I wondered, what the heck was I doing? I'm not doing so hot. So I talked to my DJ buddy Tiesto, who was spinning all day in Vegas that things had to change. No more Vegas, it was time to step it up to the big leagues. I was talking global. STepping it up on a worldwide scale. Taking the legend of Dalton Wilcox all over the globe. Europe, Asia, heck even South America. Weekend benders was going international! That is the only way to break out of a scoring slump."
  6. 1. With our season starting out on the wrong foot, how do you keep your morale high? Alcohol, lots of it. Throw in the occasional hard drugs. 2. We have been in some real hard fought games. How do you feel your about your player and his/her compete level? I've been competing hard but just not producing on the box score. Our last few games have been close and I think we're close to breaking out. 3. With Thanksgiving coming up fast, will you make time to stay in shape or pig out? Uh, stay in shape of course. I am a dedicated professional. Whatever I eat I will sweat it out, in more ways than one. 4. We have some young players really doing well under the circumstances, who sticks out in your mind? Me? I'm still a fairly young player. But not really, I'm sucking ass. 5. What changes would you like to see on our team, be it players or playtime? I'm not sure what we can change at this point. Like I said, we're close to breaking out. 6. What do you like most about our team so far? Everybody is given a chance to produce, no matter how skilled you are.

  9. As the New York Americans are in the midst of a horrible losing streak (Dalton has lost count, but with only 1 win in the last 8 or so games), Dalton Wilcox is also mired in one of the worst point streaks of his career. He has only scored one point in the last 5 games, and only has 6 goals in the season far. Not acceptable for a player who places such high standards on himself and named to the rookie VHL All-Rookie team in S68. Dalton needs time to decompress and get away from the game while the NYA work on breaking out of their losing streak. Here's a list of potential activities: Heavy drinking. Lots of it. Netflix (and chill). Lots of it. Helps get his mind off the game and helps him relax. Weekend trips to Las Vegas. Nice way to let loose. Practice more? Nah, that won't possibly help. it'll just make Dalton more tired. Watch more game film? Nah, why watch film when I can watch Netflix (and chill)? Meetings with coaches? Nah, why meet with coaches when I can go out drinking?

  13. 1. not celebrating. Working hard in the gym, on the ice and in the video room. 2. There's always room for improvement. I feel we can be one of the top teams in the league. 3. That's great. I was in his shoes last year but nobody gave me any credit. 4. I expect us to breakout soon and to banish those teams back to the shadow realm. 5. We should be expecting more of those types of games, especially if the lines are fixed. 6. Maybe Guy Le Grande. He sure says the most in the locker room.
