My thoughts on My participation in the VHL. When May 3rd rolls around, it will be my 4 year anniversary in the VHL. Sure I know this isn’t as much as a lot of other people in the league but I have been a near-max earner this whole time. Murray and Sundqvist I believe never missed a week of max earning. I believe with UnGuri there were a few points here and there I might have gotten between 5-10 capped. I wanted to give my thoughts on my activity in the league and how I feel in general. So my interest in the sims and how my player is doing has diminished every season since Sundqvist. I believe this to be because I have been on teams that haven’t performed particularly well with both UnGuri and Murray. No hard feelings about Rockstar or Gustav I have had fun being on both the teams and in their discords I just haven’t been looking at sims. Maybe I was spoiled with Sundqvist and winning 4 cups and making the cup final 5 times in my 7 seasons of the VHL. I don’t know for 100% if a winning team would keep my interest in sims. I think I am more of a bigger-picture sort of person, I am not going to delve into every sim and look at my stats, instead, I will look every week or so at the standings and team scoring to see how I am doing. I find it quite weird that I am almost 4 years in and have only had 3 players. - 3 May 2019 created Berocka Sundqvist - 14 September 2020 created Kunibuni UnGuri - 2 March 2022 created Callum Murray That is over 500 days with each player or 1 year and 4 months. Well, it is pretty obvious you all might say just recreate more often nothing is stopping you. Yes, you are right I could do that but I have no love for the VHLM or the VHLE. I think both those leagues serve a tremendous purpose for the league, but I have no enjoyment in there. For the VHLM I just feel like I am taking the time from a new member, so I don’t like playing in the M. With the E I just have no connection to any of the teams and the one experience I had so far was a kind of meh environment. I don’t know what I will do after Murray I don’t want to leave the VHL anytime soon but I don’t have any plans for the next player where usually I do. I enjoy the community and the Town of Salem games but I think there is going to be a point in time when my life doesn’t have room for the VHL. I don’t think anyone wants my old ass here anymore anyway. Murray might be my last hurrah but only time will tell. Maybe my next player will be called Gustav Mattias.

A1) No, I think the 9* season limit should stay. I think changing it from that could hurt the vhlm and vhle. A2) Getting them into a vhlm team asap. Then the GMs should be able to handle it from there. A3) I've never made a snowman Q1) Do you like the Lotto tournament and think it should stay or would you not miss it if it was removed and why? Q2) Would you like to join the BOG? If so what would you bring forward to them? Q3) What's your favourite present you ever gifted?

Why I think the lotto tournament is a waste of resources

But the lotto tournament doesn't stop tanking as coming last still gets you the best odds of first overall -
Why I think the lotto tournament is a waste of resources

Isn't this the point of the lottery in general and not the Lotto tournament. You don't need the tournament to make the lotto happen. -
Why I think the lotto tournament is a waste of resources The Lotto tournament was brought in during the VHLs biggest expansion ever. With the inclusion of four new teams the league was buzzing with excitement. One of the other changes at the same time was the start of the Lotto tournament. A way of giving Sims to the teams who missed out on playoffs. A chance for the weaker teams to increase the chances at securing the first overall pick. All well and good but as someone who has been in more Lotto tournaments than playoffs I think it is a waste of league resources. Firstly, the idea that the Lotto tournament is there for players to keep interested during the offseason is kind of stupid in the first place. The fact that someone is in the lotto tournament means they have participated in the playoff/off season routine at least twice before this, most likely once in the vhlm and once in the vhle. Both leagues do not have a Lotto tournament and therefore the players would understand that not making playoffs means they don't play a game. I think if someone has made it through roughly three seasons of the VHL they won't leave over not playing a couple of games during playoffs. I also think and I will admit that this is more of my personal opinion and you may think otherwise but… the results don't really matter. If my player goes out and scores a Hattrick or gets a shutout, I am not really cheering on the sidelines. This is because the games don't matter I am not winning anything, these games aren't improving my stats this is just a fancy exhibition game that is helping the GM more than myself. Let's talk about the GMs, the whole incentive side of the lotto tournament is also a little bit wrong and can disincentivise the teams to perform well. If two teams traded their first round picks between each other and they were both in the lotto tournament why would you want to beat that team? By beating them you are only hurting your chances at a first overall pick. If you don't have a first round pick what is your incentive to perform to the best you can. Would a GM not just randomly submit a set of lines and go enjoy a break what does the GM have to gain. There is no need to work on strategy or lines as most likely your next season team will look different. Just go look at the game threads or read the media spots. How many people do you see talking about the lotto tournament. I'll give you a hint it's mainly people talking about the draft and the actual lotto no one cares about the tournament. Well that is my five cents, I don't understand why we give the simmers more work to do during the busy part of the season so it can make quite small changes to a random number generator. What do you think, do you like the Lotto tournament or do you think it is a waste of time and resources. And if you think you like the lotto tournament tell me the winner of the last season?

A story about PeePee Poopants life after hockey PeePee Poopants was a retired professional hockey player who had spent the majority of his career playing for multiple unsuccessful teams in the VHL. After hanging up his skates and retiring from the game, PeePee found himself at a bit of a loss as to what to do next. He had always been so focused on his hockey career that he hadn't really thought much about what he would do once it was over. As he began to contemplate his next steps, PeePee decided to take some time off to travel and see the world. He had always been so busy with hockey that he had never really had the opportunity to do much traveling, and he was eager to explore new cultures and experience new things. After several months of traveling, PeePee returned home feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle his next challenge. He had always been passionate about coaching and mentoring young players, and he decided to use his experience and knowledge of the game to become a hockey coach. PeePee quickly found success as a coach, and his team became one of the top contenders in their league. He was known for his ability to bring out the best in his players and for his dedication to helping them reach their full potential. As the years went on, PeePee continued to coach and mentor young hockey players, and he became a well-respected and beloved figure in the hockey community. Even after he retired from coaching, he remained active in the sport, working as a commentator and analyst for various hockey leagues and tournaments. Despite his success and accolades, PeePee never lost his love for the game and remained humble and grateful for all that hockey had given him. He knew that he had been fortunate to have such a long and successful career, and he was grateful to have been able to make such a positive impact on the lives of so many young players. So, PeePee Poopants had a fulfilling and successful life after hockey, and he continued to be a positive influence on the sport for many years to come. Art Vandelay on his first games as a goalie Art Vandelay had always loved playing ice hockey, but he had always been a forward, focusing on scoring goals and setting up his teammates. However, when the team's starting goalie went down with an injury, Art was asked to step in between the pipes. At first, Art was hesitant. He had never played goalie before and was unsure if he would be able to handle the pressure. But his coach and teammates encouraged him to give it a try, and Art decided to give it his best shot. The first few games were rough, as Art struggled to adjust to the new position. He was constantly second-guessing himself and letting in more goals than he was used to. But as the games went on, Art began to get the hang of things. He started making key saves and helping to lead his team to victory. And as he gained more confidence, Art began to enjoy being a goalie. He loved the feeling of being in control of the game, and the satisfaction of making a big save. And as he improved, his teammates and coaches took notice, praising him for his hard work and dedication. In the end, Art decided that he really enjoyed being a goalie. It was a new challenge for him, and one that he was glad he took on. And as he continued to play and improve in the position, he knew that he had made the right decision.
