What stat should I focus on when applying my TPE? I focused on passing as I want to be a good passer and playmaker, but I am now aware passing is not the best starting stat. I have it at 80, but now I am wondering if I should get something to 99 first? Is there a particular area you all would suggest? I am thinking about scoring or puck handling, possibly even skating. I don’t really know if all the stats work in a different way than expected, like passing not getting many assists. For someone wanting more of a playmaker role what would you suggest? I have also wondered how much 99ing a stat actually helps your player, is it similar to the EA NHL series? Anyways, let me know what you would suggest and hopefully your answers can help new players understand the stats a little bit better.

I loved the angry in this interview, it was so funny. I wish you included what exactly happened, I don't follow the VHLM as much, so I'm not sure if the Bull made the playoffs or how far they got. Also I saw a small contradiction with the beginning saying you missed practice because you hated the management and leadership, but then you say at the end you love the team... I consider management part of the team, but that might just be me lol, but leadership can be teammates too. 9/10 By the way, how do you feel about this loss against Halifax?

I find this interesting and would be a good idea of tournaments or such. I think your article hits another note for the league and I want to read the other articles your have and will write. These places are not big into hockey, however, for the people who like it from these different countries it could give them an opportunity to play in their own contra as well. 9/10

The big question players on the Watchmen have been asking themselves is, what happened? Most of the watchmen have been asking this question after a stunning sweep in the first round of the playoffs. Brendan Marner made a bold prediction, he thought he would get more points in the playoffs than he did all season, but he was clearly wrong. This kid had 11 points and 2 goals in 72 regular season games, and in the playoffs, well, he had no points in the 4 games. This was definitely a bust, and was see after screaming into the abyss,” I hate those Gladiators!” He clearly didn’t take the loss too well, and teammates said he started throwing his clubs around the next day at golf. Its is believed that the Gladiators were good at finding Brendan’s weak spots on the ice, and would attack it, even with the video evidence, Brendan denies that, he said,” The problem was that I was the refs, always in the way, not calling the right calls, and not allowing the goals that should’ve been goals…” he goes on, “…There was a clear cut too many men call that should’ve happened, there was 4 extra Gladiators on the ice at all times. Just because they changed into black and white shirts, does not mean they are not playing for the Gladiators.” Another bold claim coming from Brendan and is unnecessary according to the coaching staff and GM as they thought the Gladiators just completely outplayed the Watchmen. There was another theory why Brendan didn’t play so well, some people reported seeing him at parties and reported seeing him heavily drinking on game nights as well as staying up until 5am on said game nights. We wanted to see what he would say, so we went to the hotel the team was staying at for the final conference the next day and asked to see Brendan. With the request to see him, and mentioning the said rumor, the coach wanted to talk with him, and invited us to join. When we walked into the room, he appeared to be sleeping so we didn’t want to pursue further, however the coach decided to go right up to the bed to wake him, and what we found was shocking. Multiple pillows were stacked and spread out under the blankets, and there was a mannequin head facing the opposite way of the door. The coach was visibly mad and told us to leave, but we didn’t leave without the best shot! This was a crazy story we wanted to run with, but we still need Brendan’s side of the story, so we went on the search. We found him at a local coffee shop and at that time we had the chance, when we asked about the party rumor's going on, he said, “Get this camera out of my Goddamn face!” Just a brilliant response! As I was creating my player, I got some messages telling me that the passing stat is useless, some told me to rest my player to get my TPE back. I didn’t think this was true, I gave it a chance and went for a playmaker as one of the best playmakers in the NHL Mitch Marner (Don’t talk to me about his recent play). I went for this player type and realised quickly in the VHLM and the VHLE that almost not assists were given to me. This was especially upsetting when I was one of the top VHLM members but got very low assist totals. Now I am starting to realise that this stat might be useless like I was told earlier in the year. I just don’t understand the point of it if what I am getting told is true, only the people who have been around a couple of year would know not to use this stat and not use it, but the new members use it, and they are not getting points. This will cause new players to become uninterested and leave the league very quickly. Players want points, and if they are dedicated to get TPE, most will expect good total points, but don’t get it. This ramble could be useless, and people might make fun of it, but if what I have been told about this stat is useless, I think it is warranted and should be noticed and fixed.

INTRO As the season comes to an end in the European Hockey League, the teams look to make big production in the playoffs. The wildcard positions are still up for grabs, but if things go as, it is the Vikings will go against the Iron Eagles, and the Gladiators would go against the Watchmen. As the watchmen stay in the 3rd position it is no surprise that the team is very excited for the playoffs and the players mindsets are to make win the very first cup, but it is known the other teams are absolute beasts. TOP SCORING With the Watchman’s big players like Brozik, Carter, Nylen, and Blloyoiderson they have good top lines. If they continue to produce it could mean their playoff run may be long lasting and with the goaltending performance from Orion and Parise it will be a great run. The goalies have been splitting of games as they try to get the wins and the splits have been working well for a high scoring league. However, things are different in the playoffs, teams give it their all, teams stack their lines, and give more minutes to their top players and this could be a problem for the Watchmen with the lack of depth they have. TOP DEFENCE There are great defensive players as well, with Nylen, Eightnine, and Adams, the hits, and shots blocked stats are really good, its like they have no feeling in their bodies, goalies have more padding guys… These beasts could likely destroy and intimidate the other teams especially in the playoffs, but it is going to be hard to play if the Gladiators goaltending destroys the goal scorers like they did in the season. UNIMPRESSIVE PLAYER Although the Watchmen have a good team, there is one player expected to make much better production than he has been getting and that is Brendan Marner. His production is extremely low for a clear playoff team, with a measly 10 points in 66 games he is not expected to produce much more in the playoffs. Although his scoring is extremely low, his grinding skills have been alright, getting a decent amount of hits, but he is not high in any stats whatsoever. On one of the bottom lines, it is has not done much for him. THE UPRISE Brendan Marner has actually gone ahead and talked about his play in Europe, talking about how he thinks he can play better than he has been, but he just needs to get that extra push, as he has been training like crazy. His history has been good in the playoffs, he believes it will be a huge improvement again in these playoffs as well, he just needs the extra push by his teammates and management as he doesn’t think there is much belief in him than there should be, but he will prove the critics wrong. He expects to get more points in the playoffs than he got in this past season. I think this should be interesting to see if he can succeed with this bold prediction. CONCLUSION It will definitely be fun to Watch all of the top players on the Watchmen, and if the point streaks continue. It will be fun to watch the defensive play by the Watchmen, it is obvious that the mix of great offence and amazing defence is a great duo. The goaltending duo has been amazing and will be one great mix for the playoffs, you can trust them both, and they are able to 50/50 the games as one can always rest. Marner will be the story of the playoffs if he makes his bold prediction and could be a bigger story than the cup winner. But this will be a very interesting playoffs as every team wants to make it on the very first VHLE cup.

With the intro and outro I was under the impression this article would be about Ottawas playoff run this year, but you talked more about the playoffs. It is not bad whatsoever, but I was mislead. It was a good article nonetheless, I think you could have went through some potential candidates, I mean, Ottawa has a lot of picks, so bringing up some name candidates could be good. 8/10

I think this was a good article, the dedication is definately crazy for some of these hobbyists! I think getting some quotes from people really dedicated would help your argument more, but that's being more picky. I think this article was not too lomg but it was sweet. 9/10

As we head to the end of the VHLE season, we can look at the teams, and their fight for a playoff spot. The Vikings have been incredible, but with 72 points, its not a big lead, they are getting the scoring help, with 235 goals for. Only 3 points behind them are the Gladiators with 69 points, and they are interesting, they have a great defensive team letting in the least goals against with 180 goals against, but only 196 goals for. The Watchmen are trailing with 65 points in total and great offensive power with 225 goals for, and the second least goals against at 208. The Express are trailing further with the 4th place spot at 61 points and 219 goals for and 212 goals against. However, the Iron Eagles are threating to take that final 4th playoff position, only 1 point off with 60 points, but they are the first team with a negative goal differential, with -10; 207 goals for and 217 goals against. The Red Wolves are the last place team, very unlikely to make it at this point, 10 points out of a playoff spot, at 51 points. The goal differential was also the worst with -33; 214 goals for and 247 goals against. This year has been extremely close and fun to watch, I’m excited to see what happens in the playoffs!

Really good, I liked the ratings that you gave each team and the overview of what each team has faced. I think looking at some of the players on the teams could also show something else in your ratings. I liked the article and I think it is interesting to see these teams fight for that spot, and it will be fun to see who makes it. 10/10

I would love to see what your goals are for the end of the season and potentially playoffs, but I liked the breakdown in general. I think you could have proved your conclusion a bit better by doing a longer summary of what you talked about and what you expect for yourself from your projections. 8/10

Some locals have filled a complaint to the team management. GM J.Frostbeard has yet to respond. How would you deal with this situation? I remember that night, he is such a lightweight, but he needs a spanking, I am the best, nobody else has me at all!5. Our Powerplay has been really good this season, what do you think is the key to a great powerplay unit that works? Scoring.6. Our team has managed to get into 17 fights this season and have won only one of those. Do you think we need to send our guys to some extra boxing training? Where is trivia? This is a question everyone is asking, it seemed to just stop without warning. It takes a lot of time to write articles such as this, and if you want to max cap with 12 points you need to take extra time to also do the media spots. Considering I take time to make a media spot myself even though I don’t have much time on my hands, trivia would take a few minutes giving me extra time to do my work, instead of writing for hours on media spots as well as these articles. I understand that it takes a lot of time to moderate trivia, however, it is a great way for players to get more involved with the VHL and can be used for further with forum questions than just vhl awards and such. This could allow players to also understand how the forum is used, and of course a VHL questions would still be used! If questions are the problem, make a topic with trivia questions to be asked and the ones who get their questions answered will get extra uncapped points as an award. It is also not a sure thing, if the question isn’t used, it you will not get any “point awards”. Let me know what you think, and what happened to trivia if you know!

Interesting that you are taking time to relax, gardening and watching a game here and there. Is there anything else you are doing now that you could include, maybe money wise? I think this was good overall though. 9/10

I have thought a lot about what I will do when my hockey career is over, I know it seems too early for me to think about, but the fact is that I have been roughed up a lot, and what happens if my career ends earlier than expected? Its something that many players seem to be thinking about recently, and my goal is to reach another level after I complete my expectations in the league. It is quite simple. Drink. More. I dislike the fact I can’t drink at the games, or I will be “kicked out” or something. I just like the taste and how I feel after that 4 shots and a dozen cans. The plan is not to just drink and pay money, no, my plan is to get contracted by alcohol sponsors and they pay for my drinks. This would be great for the company to have a star player on their boxes and cans, and maybe, just maybe, I will be connected to the Watchmen again with their alcohol sponsor. Wouldn’t that fit so well… Obviously it will be hard to get the sponsor, but with someone like me and who can hold alcohol like me, it only makes sense right? Although my drinking will take up the majority of the day, I need to have some other things to do, don’t I? That is why, when I leave the league for retirement, I will then date and marry my drug dealer. Shell be able to give me all the best and hot deals for the drugs, and yes, I will be more active with steroids at that point. I remember when I was in the VHLM, there was less restrictions for that kind of crap, and they never did check ups. It is pretty sad that now I am in Europe that they care about the steroids, and the crack, and the marijuana, like give it a rest why don’t ya? Let me do my thing bro. Regardless, I will marry her and live a happy life, high, strong, drunk, exciting. They always ask, do you want kids? When are you having kids? Do you have a girlfriend? The answer is, no, never and no. I don’t want to worry about someone else’s feeling and listen to them complain when I sign elsewhere or get traded or even move up to the big leagues, so screw that, I live on my own, for myself. When I am done hockey I will live with my drug dealer wife, but that is it. No kids, no pets, nothing but myself, and her. Plus, not gonna lie, I would definitely forget to feed them all, and they are gross and messy. In the end, my life will be a success and accomplished if this is how my life works out. I am excited to break records in the VHL and party morning, day, and night after that. I think this is the plan my parents had for me, I think they will be proud!

Jlloyoid Blloyoiderson has been on fire lately and has managed to move into the elite goalscoring group in VHLE, did he always have an amazing shot in the practices and training exercises? Yes, every time I pass him the puck it was stuck in the netting. 6. After asking Brendan Marner if he would be willing to go on to a fully nude photo session promoting VHL, VHLE and VHLM leagues, he responded by saying that "It would be another challenge that I could not say away from". Very interesting, hearing about what you will do after the hockey career, I find this quite funny for a glove dropper. I personally like the fact you made a piece to tell your story as a hockey player, but I would love to hear why you haven't started with most of this now, I'm sure it would work out . I have always wondered, what makes a good team in the VHL? Now, we might be getting closer and closer to that answer for someone like myself. The Chicago Phoenix have gotten on an 18-game winning streak and are now above other favorites such as Malmo, Moscow, HC Davos, and Calgary. With some lack of depth but a great top line of players, top pairing defense, the first line forward, and even a star goaltender. It is clear that one elite player does not mean the team will go off, instead what seems to be correct is multiple top end stars that can hold each other to a higher standard. Depth hasn’t been too important through some of these teams including Chicago, their second line is below what some would expect, but it is working out as they are on that 18-game winning streak. Will they hit 1st place, or will the fortune end? How long could this streak last?

With the VHLE season nearing the midpoint, it has been a very interesting and exciting scene. Each team is still very capable of making it to first as the point difference between first and last in the league is 10 points. If the teams stay this close nearing the end of the season, you know this will be the story to everyone following the VHL. 1. Rome Gladiators The Gladiators are that first place team with 43 points, they have 19 wins and 12 loses. Being the first-place team can be a very good feeling, however, it isn’t as satisfying for the Gladiators since the difference between first and second is 1 point, and between first and third is only 2 points. It is very interesting battle for first. Nonetheless, the Gladiators feel confident with their deep team and the leading scorers Otto Numminen with the most 60 points in the league and Baby Bob with the most goals 25 on the team. A crazy 0.928 and 0.922 for both goaltenders Tobias Reinhart and Luke Spinelli respectively. Overall, the great offensive power and amazing line of defense, I can see why they are first right now. 2. Vasteras Iron Eagles Iron Eagles are the team looking to squeeze past the Gladiators first position, however the Iron Eagles are currently second in the league, and with the depth on this team, I personally am surprised they have not jumped ahead quite yet. The forward, defensive and goaltending depth is much better, but it has yet to prove on the score sheet. Kyle Peace and Shaggy Tipton are the top 2 players on the team with 47 points each and Kyle with the teams most goals at 23. However, the best goalie with more than 10 games played is Xavier Booberry with a 0.939 in 20 games, that is one of the best goalies you will see in this league, simply amazing. Once again, I believe this team has a good chance to take the first place in the VHLE and more likely to happen sooner than later, but we will have to see. 3. Stockholm Vikings The Viking is the next team that can be on of the top 3 positions 2 points out of first, as the depth on this team is also amazing all the way down. With Omi Aberg as the top player at 56 points and the most goals to Zach Kisslinger II and Florida Man at 20 goals each. The offensive force on this team is already better than the Iron Eagles, but what most teams can’t compare is the goaltending, however the goaltending for the Vikings is a very good duo. Em Em Flex has a 0.913 save percentage and Bastian Griess has a 0.920 save percentage. It is already clear that the higher save percentages are related to the goaltending, and it continues with the Vikings. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them in the second spot, or just chill is the third spot. 4. Istanbul Red Wolves The Red Wolves is in fourth in the league and only 4 points out of first (yes, it is a VERY close league). The talent is pretty good, but I think has a defensive hole, and a surplus of good offense, and a great goalie. Raihan Heavems is the teams top point scorer with 52 points and is a force on this team, but I’m a little surprise at the lack of depth in the scoring. Raihan Heavems and Genghis Khan are also the top guys in the goal category in the league tied at 26 goals a piece. With a good Leroy Johnson in net at 0.918 save percentage, but unfortunately has the one goalie, so the poor guy is getting lit up every night. I think fourth place seems reasonable for the team until they add to the defense. 5. Bratislava Watchmen The Watchmen has a very good team, fifth place; however, the opposite of the Red Wolves as the Watchmen have great defence could add a couple though and 2 good goaltenders but lack of elite offensive player. With Jakub Brozik as the top guy with the most 59 points and with 24 goals on the team. Alex Parise and Orion D H Chiester IX are the goalies, and 2 good ones too, with Parise at 0.922 save percentage and Orions 0.907 save percentage, great duo. I think this team could challenge the Red Wolves for second, especially if they add to their team and improve a bit more. 6. Cologne Express The Express is at the bottom of the list at sixth and with 33 points but only 10 behind first, still a crazy to think about. This team is very surprising to me, they have good offensive depth, great defensive depth, and amazing elite offence and defense and goaltending is good too. Nathaniel Minion is the top guy on the Express with 53 points and the top goal scorer too with 22 goals. For a team of this caliber, I think many of the elite players should have more points in general, its disappointing to see where they are at this point. However, the surprise is in goal, with David Davis with 36 games played and only a 0.901 save percentage, but the backup, Anime Protagonist, has the best save percentage in the league at 0.954. I still think this team has a lot to offer, as I think they should overtake first with this team and wouldn’t that be a comeback story. In the end, it is going to be difficult to predict where the final position for each team will be, it is likely that we my not even know until the last game gets played. This league is evenly divided but I would like to provide my final predictions anyways. I was all over in this article when giving a rough position for teams in my mind, however my final predictions are as followed: 1. Cologne Express 2. Vasteras Iron Eagles 3. Rome Gladiators 4. Stockholm Vikings 5. Istanbul Red Wolves 6. Bratislava Watchmen. I like this list; however, I understand it is so close that many people will likely disagree, and that’s okay, I would love to hear the conversations to come with this, and with that, I am excited to see the end of season positions.
