I liked this article, interesting that Pekko Viitanen is only second line with those numbers, I like the in-depth stats and why they are playing so good. I think you should include where you found these fantasy stats as I do not know where to find them lol. I think its interesting that some of the top players have not been taken in my league, but upsetting I decided not to take socks lol. I find it easy to read with the color scheme and the subtitles. However I love this article because I have 2 players on this list, just wish I had more lol. 9/10

Good job! I see that someone already asked for some stats and a picture which I happen to agree to include. I would love an in depth explanation of why you think each team would go in the spots you picked. I like the explanations of the veteran presents and rookie presents it really shows what teams are prepared for a depth cup run. 7/10

Bratislava Watchmen Press Conference
MetalToday replied to FrostBeard's topic in Team Press Conferences
1. Have been falling off from our great start of the season, what do you think we can do to improve our chances? With motivation and preparation it is possible, but the league is hard, and wont be easy.2. GM Frostbeard has recently been sighted near an ancient sacrificial spot, some people heard him speaking a weird language and saying "Šeit būtu lieliska vieta vakara pasēdēšanai un nelielam piknikam!" Your thoughts on that? Wtf was said? I dont know that language, also what was sacrificed.3. Tony Adams has been a brilliant player lately, after his move to first defensive pair, how good of a teammate he is? I think he's good, but everyone can improve, just need that extra step to excellence. 4. Bratislava city has released a new monthly journal called "Wathcmen Watch The Watched" - your thoughts on the title? I didn't read it the title scares me, am I being watched or am I supposed to watch someone? Because im not lol5. John Baard and Sven Eightnine have been seen out in a bar singing "Don't stop believing" heavily drunk, some media outlets are calling them out to be punished, what do you think the team management should do about it? I'm a drunk, punish the undrunk, it'll make them better.6. What would be your ideal preparation for a game? What would eat for the breakfast? What don't I eat for breakfast -
The Ottawa Lynx has one hell of a team drafts by 16z and Matt Thunder. Drafting some top end talent to help them progress in the league, from the first overall goalie, The Red Menace to Greg Romain as their last pick in the draft at 66 overall. The team was going to be known as a top end dynasty, but it was a shock that it happened so quickly. Ottawa even stacked up on draft picks this season, but the next question to ask is should they trade for better players? Or should they attempt to chase the cup with the next upcoming prospects as well? With 17 games played they have won 16 of them, only losing 1 game, and are currently killing it on a 12-game winning streak. The Red Menace was shown to be a huge add as he only has 44 goals against and 2.59 goal against average and save percentage of .905, simply amazing. However, this would not be an article without mentioning Austin Towbaker, the right-wing player leading the team with 47 points and leading the league with 24 goals while Juice Box, the top defense on Ottawa, collects 15 goals and 44 points in 17 games, simply AMAZING. This team does not need much help right now, and this was the team to draft the player with the most TPE in the S80 draft 44th overall he was forced to the “E”, but can anyone even imagine how good the team would be if he was able to stay back? I would wonder if Ottawa could even lose a game. In the end, Ottawa is a current powerhouse that doesn’t need much more to allow them to succeed, they are success.

It is already known that it is going to be a crazy year for rookies, you just need to view the list and see that many deep players are maxing their caps and check out how they are playing in the minors then you will understand the beasts in this draft. However, we may have a consensus top 3 already: Nico Pearce is currently projected to go 1st overall and is maxing out his capped points every week, this left winger had a crazy first year starring in only 10 games but got 6 goals and 14 points in those. This season he stepped up his game and has played 17 games with 21 goals and 38 points. He is expected to be a stud in the upcoming season, but he can work on his passing, however this sniper is in a good position to take the 1st overall spot. Not much more to ask other than do you want potentially a franchise winger? Harkat Mulds is a beast of a center expected to go number 2 overall. He isn’t too far behind Nico Pearce’s 1st overall spot, but as a top center there is a chance that the first picking team decides they need an elite center role that can potentially be used anywhere on the ice. It will be a close ride for Harkat but starting last season with 9 games 3 goals and 7 points, it was nothing to frown at. This season he has been more of a beast collecting 15 goals and 44 points in 17 games. Some managers may see that his progression has been huge and may even consider taking this quickly improving players above any others. Some criticize that the team he is on is causing an inflation of points, however he is a big part of that success. Something he should likely work on is his faceoffs, it is decent but can be improved upon as a center. Zaza Colors is the current consensus 3rd overall ranked prospect. He is a good right winger constantly maxing his cap every week, as active as a person can be and it is shown on the ice with 7 goals and 14 points in 17 games the past season, however he has improved quickly one upped those numbers with this season 19 goals and 39 points in 17 games. Some will point out that both Zara Colors (3rd) and Harkat Mulds (2nd) are both Yukon teammates and their stock is too high, yet they push each other, if they stay confident and help each other improve every day they can be big players in the upcoming draft. It is noticed that his passing is not up to par with some of the expectations around the league. Although there are more good prospects outside of the top 3, the expectation is that these 3 players will lock up these 3 spots. As other active and notable players that will rise, and are currently on the rise, they will likely not reach these three beasts and are literally from out of this planet from how they have been playing and taking over training. But hey, I have been wrong time and time again, this is much too early to predict if even these 3 players stay in the top 3, especially how deep this draft has with active players maxing their caps. What do you think?

Bratislava Watchmen Press Conference

3. We are already gaining new sponsors and GM John Frostbeard has already talked to his old friends at Viking Brandy. Do you think it is a great idea to be sponsored by an alcohol brand? Yes alcohol is a big part of this beer league.4. After the first games of the season few Bratislava fans got really excited about John Baard who has been absolutely amazing for the team, some of them even called him VHLE Matt Thompson, how do you feel about that statement? Matt was such a legend, this is the E's first year, Johns a stud, but well need to see if he continues his great progression. 6. GM Frostbeard has said that Bratislava plan to split time between their both goaltenders who have been amazing, how do you feel about it, is it the best choice for the team? If both goalies are ready for a split, it'll be an amazing option for the team.7. What sort of a tradition should Bratislava Watchmen start to make sure we get enough media coverage and make some headlines around the league? Get more alcohol sponsors. Beer sponsors for the beer league baby.8. It was leaked by a gossip newspaper in Bratislava that there is some tension between players in the LR - Jannik Nylen and Sven Eightnine can't stand each other and will ask to be traded. Your comments? Trade them, toxicity is not fun in the dressing room, but see if you could trade them to the same team together. 10. It is clear that this season will be a lot more close when it comes to results and every team has a chance, what do you think makes Bratislava the better team in VHLE right now? Not really to be honest, I have a bad feeling they'll drop. -
I really liked this article, from what I'm hearing, you are having a great start to the season, and 52 overall is very much a steal for the reapers. I would want to hear more about your thought of the big city a little bit more, and would like to hear your family's thoughts too. I think talking about some teammates could help you prove that you rely on the whole team as you say, but in general it was well written. 9/10

I liked the throw back to high school and Armani's past and how much discipline he had. I think its interesting how you depicted what would make Armani snap, and his fathers agreeance with what Armani did in response. I think telling more stories on the relationship between the father and mother would make things more emotional, even the loving mother she was. 8/10

After a somewhat brutal VHLM season in the for Brendan Marner, his season ended with 9 points and only 1 goal in 62 games. He was feeling down about the numbers, and he was not expecting to be moving on to anything bigger, however, he was wrong. He ended up getting graduated to a brand-new European league, drafted 51 overall to the Bratislava Watchmen. This was not ideal for Brendan Marner, as he believes that another season in the minors would be the perfect push of comfort and confidence for his future in the VHL. So, after the draft he was memorized, he realized he would be moving to another continent to play, rather than succeed in the minors playing with his hometown team in the Ottawa Lynx. His emotions rolled and his anxiety went crazy, he explained he did not want to join a VHLE team even before the draft, but the teams did not listen, as they needed the extra players. Brendan Marner was not happy, he is now having trouble improving, nor dose he care to train himself to get to the next level. He has been even considering retirement to go back to his family in Canada. However, it is not likely that he will do good in the VHLE for at least a season or two, he wanted at least a season to go off in the VHLM, but it is now unlikely to happen, he is losing his confidence, but if he stays active and regain his confidence he might be able to be a top producer in the VHL since it will not at all be likely to happen in the VHLE.

Jakub Brozik Post-Game Interview (Game 12)
MetalToday replied to Viper's topic in Archived Media Spots
I liked this article, very different than the others, very innovative. Brozik is one of the top guys on the team, and I think bragging a little more about Broziks increase of success would go far. I think it is a fun article, talking about a day in the life of Brozik and this could be a start of something new. I hope to hear what happens if Brozik ever loses his scoring streak. 9/10 -
I always love reading articles talking about prospects and draft picks, I just love to see how they will do in the future. The Red Menace was a very fun prospect to follow, one of the better players to be picked in the VHLM, and I would love to hear how the season is expected to proceed. It is always good to write articles, sometimes they go off on tangents but there isn't need to apologies for that man, but I'm expecting to see the menace win some trophies! 8/10

1 draft is finally over, happy with our picks? would you change something? I'm happy and I am going to go off, considering a maxed player went in the 4th round is crazy, every manager who passed on me is going to regret it. 2 PREDICTIONS ARE NOW OPEN, where would you think we will end thanks to the new players that we have drafted? I like how you drafted, I need to look at the teams, but I think we will be stacked. 3 what is the first thing that comes in your mind when you think about the Ottawa Lynx? (a player? a logo?) I think of home, my family. 4 WJC is near it's end, who do you think will win? (not Asia for sure) I don't know, haven't followed it, they all passed on the best player, and that is Brendan Marner. 5 what would you pick with you if you were going in the space? I would bring some beers, would I be the first to get wasted in space? 6 Talking about space, would you love to go on a vacation in space? I would love to go to space, that's beautiful.

A Story of two Brothers // It's Crunch Time
MetalToday replied to Daniel Janser's topic in Archived Media Spots
Goes through the game pretty well, explaining Brigade drive to win. On an article about the brothers I think putting more emphasis on the brothers would be important. It seemed to be a dramatic end for Brigade from this article, but I would love to hear about the complete stats for the brothers in this article from this series at least. However I think it was a good job overall 8/10. -
Very interesting, seems to be a very deep draft for goalies, or at least for top goaltending. I believe including deeper second round picks or potentially third rounds could make a much better argument about the vast amount of goaltending. The theory that some of these top goalies could drop due to the increase numbers of goaltending this year is interesting, but who knows, with the lack of goaltending next year, like you said, could stir thing for teams planning ahead. I really enjoyed this article, but I like draft talk, I find it interesting 9/10.

This Junior Showcase Tournament was one to remember, with a crazy rough start and a fighting finish. Teams absolutely hammered away at each other, trying to move up in the standings, but no team was a match for the Warriors. The Warriors was a real army, fighting and crashing and scoring taking 10 wins, 1 overtime loss, and 1 loss, every team had a lot of trouble with them. With the series going into the playoffs the Warriors are very much the favorite to win, the real fight will be for the silver medal for most teams. The Steels are the first team to play the Warriors in the playoffs, its going to be very interesting, but likely very lopsided. Players on the Steels seem to be nervous, but also frustrated to have lost the last 2 games, diminishing their chances at getting the silver medal, now they need to fight the team with the 10-1-1 record. They were not always in last however, it was Bridgade before them, but with Bridgade winning 2 in a row this caused a very dramatic shift in the standings. I want to emphasize, if the Steels won one of the two games they would be against the Royals in the upcoming playoffs, but the 2 losses and Bridgades 2 win caused a 1-point differential between the teams, due to Brigades overtime loss, where Bridgade would be on top. The upcoming playoffs show the Warriors against the Steels, and the Royals against Bridgade. Will the Steels cause a major upset? Will Brigade beat the Royals who had a good start but a bad finish to the round robin with a 4-game losing streak? These will be good questions to ask yourself as you watch intently for the games to finish. What are your predictions?

Definately a crazy start to the tournament! I think it would have been interesting to talk about the shot counts as well, games getting more than 100 shots total. Also the 16-10 game would have been a funny thing to mention as well, it was a crazy game. I loved reading about the crazy and heated games, 892 PIM in 4 games is absolutely insane! 8/10 great read!

Game Review in the 'Swiss Central Gazette' Brigade-Royals
MetalToday replied to Daniel Janser's topic in Archived Media Spots
Loved the enthusiasm in this article. I am intrigued by the brother and brother relationship on the team, and I look forward on hearing more. I really enjoy grinder stories, and I enjoyed watching the saga, love how the grinder is a captain and the PIM in game 1 is too funny. Definately deserving a 10/10, but could be bias since I'm a teammate. -
With the season coming to an end, prospects on the winning teams are looking to fight for a cup, however the rest of the prospects are looking to get some medals themselves and with the start of the Junior Showcase Tournament, this gives these prospects another opportunity. This tournament is going to be a very interesting tournament to watch with each team having a very good roster. I like to mention the 60+ overall players, and mention the top goalies on each team as well as the overalls in player, goaltending, and team categories. Brigate is the first team we will look at, they have some top end prospects in Kyosti Karjalainen, Brendan Marner, and Austin Towbaker. Each player gives good high end skills for the team and for the rest of the players, they give a decent amount of depth, with the players on the team giving an average of 53 overall. The goaltending is not too crazy however, with a decent Mike Hroch to defend the net with an emergency spare. The goalies average 45 overall with a team average of 52 overall. The Royals is the next team to look at, Biggie Cheese being the top guy on the player squad, with a really deep team backing him up, the first line will be good and a really good second line, with the other lines also giving good depth. The player overalls are a great 53 overall, and a good goaltending group of Ali Des Aves as the main guy with an emergency backup, the goalie group overall average is 47 with a team average of 52 overall. The Steels are the next interesting team to look at, they don't have a 60+ overall player, however, Juice Box is the guy to watch on the team. The depth on the team is decent averaging at 52, however the goaltending is something to watch when it comes to this team, with a starter and backup being equivalently good; Wiley Blanchette and Thomas Price. Both are 48 overall goalies, meaning the overall goalie average is 48 overall. The team average is 52 overall. The Warriors are the final team to look at in the upcoming tournament, without having a 60+ overall player the guy to watch on the team is Nico Pearce. With a good first and second line it should be fun to watch how this team's depth will affect the tournament since they also have a player average of 52. However the best goalie we have seen so far in this tournament is on the Warriors and that is The Red Menace at 56 overall. An emergency backup is his backup, but it is going to be a good ride for The Red Menace goalie if all goes right. The goaltending average is the highest at 50 overall and a team average at 52 overall. It will be interesting to watch each team, as they all seem to value different things on their teams. Brigate seems to favor top end prospects for first lines, Royals seems to like a mix of everything with some depth, good goaltending, and some good high end players. The Steels like the depth with players and goaltending, and finally the Warriors valued the top end goaltending with pretty good player depth. I am really interested to see where each strategy will go in this tournament and I'm excited to see who is going to be the top players from each team.
