The Seabasstard, we just seen your team get eliminated after dropping your first round playoff series 4-1 to the underdog Las Vegas Aces. What exactly went wrong out there? "Well if I had the answers for you right now I don't think we'd be having this conversation right now. We weren't able to figure out what was going wrong and that's why we lost the series. We were getting outshot almost every game that for sure didn't help but give kudos to the Aces they came out flying and never let the foot off the pedal. We underestimated that team coming into this series. We were maybe a little too confident coming into this series and we ended up getting our asses kicked." Well you have also reached the 250 TPE cutoff mark just recently so you officially won't be returning as a member of the Wild next season, do you have any parting words for the team? "Well thanks for inviting me into your organization with open arms starting back in S76 and thank you for drafting me in the first round of the dispersal draft this year. This team has been a class act and I was always treated very well here. I want to thank my coaches for having faith in me and giving me a good chunk of ice time, it helped me blossom this year and I feel like my time here in Saskatoon has really helped me improve to the point that I'll be playing in the VHL next year. I had fun with my teammates during my stay, and I had fun during that magical regular season and I'll always look back at my time as a Wild fondly. I'm just a little dissappointed that we choked in the first round as I feel like we all had the potential to do better." Thank you, good look at the S78 VHL Entry Draft

More presser questions 1. How do you feel about your recent elimination from the VHLM playoffs? 2. What should you guys have done differently in order to get a different result? 3. Are you optimistic for next season? 4. Do you have any parting words for the players that are leaving? 5. The WJC GMs have been announced, are you looking forward to following this year's WJC? 6. Favorite card game, go!

Well time to claim the other half of this embarassment

Well it seems like The Seabasstard's has played his last game of his VHLM Career after the Saskatoon Wild have suffered a soul crushing defeat in the first round of the VHLM playoffs at the hands of the Las Vegas Aces. The Seabasstard crossed the 250 TPE VHLM cut off mark as of early April and sadly won't be eligible to return to the VHLM next year. Considering he's only the third player from his draft class to do so, The Seabasstard's odds of being drafted in the 1st round of the S78 VHL Draft seems pretty likely. The Seabasstard impressed VHL scouts during his 1.2 seasons tenure as a Wild, as he ended his VHLM career being at least a PPG player with the team. The Seabasstard originally joined the Wild after signing on with the team as a Free Agent after the trade deadline of S76. That year the Wild were already far from a playoff spot by the time The Seabasstard joined up and while they did play better at the tail end of the season it wasn't enough to make the playoffs. The Seabasstard got to see some time centering one of the top 2 lines once the Wild were eliminated from playoff contention as GM, Doomsday decided to give younger stars a chance to play as they no longer had anything to lose at that point. Things looked promising for The Seabasstard in his 14 game introduction to the VHLM posting 10 points and being +2. The small forward showed the league that he was a solid player at both ends of the ice and excelled in the faceoff circle as he was winning almost 60% of his draws. However, he only managed to pot 2 goals as he always seemed to look for the pass first and barely used his shot, and when he did he often just missed the net. The next season The Seabasstard was officially submitted to the S77 VHLM Dispersal Draft to only then return to the Saskatoon Wild as they selected him with the 9th overall pick. The Seabasstard showed up to training camp driven and focused to carve out a role for himself on the team's top 2 lines. Not only did he earn himself a role in the team's top 6 but he was tasked with centering the team's top line between TheCHEESE and Craig Martin. The line didn't end up being the most explosive offensively but it did effectively shut down the opposing teams top lines and produce good secondary offense at the same time. The Wild had themselves a good season in S77 making the playoffs end finishing 2nd in the league standings and first in the Western Conference. The team had two 100+ point getters this season as the deadly duo of Griff Mackenzie and Duncan Montana exploded for a combined 217 points. The Seabasstard shot the puck more this year as he put up 34 goals for the year after having himself a pretty good year offensively scoring 81 points in 72 games. He displayed more confidence with the puck this year and continued showing the league that he was a good two way player. He proved to be an elite drawer on the faceoffs as he ended up leading the league all year in faceoff success percentage of 64.25 % and it proved to be a good skill set for the team's penalty kill which lead the league with a 88.92% success rate. The Wild sadly didn't make it very far in the playoffs as they failed to reproduce their regular season success and fell to the Las Vegas Aces 4 game to 1 in the opening round of the playoffs. The Seabasstard played well however scoring 5 points and was +5 in those 5 games played. He also won 66.67% of his 222 faceoffs as he continued to dominate at the faceoff circle. I figure The Seabasstard has earned enough TPE regularly throughout the season and had enough success on the ice to be considered in the first round of the VHL Draft. Which of course would be an amazing feat for me as it would make the first time any of my players go in the first round. Season 76 / 14 Games Played / 2 Goals / 8 Assists / 10 Points / +2 / 13 PIM / 15 Hits / 0 Blocked Shots Season 77 / 72 Games Played / 34 Goals / 47 Assists / 81 Points / +21 / 28 PIM / 95 Hits / 26 Blocked Shots S77 Playoffs / 5 Games Played / 3 Goals / 2 Assists / 5 Points / +5 / 8 PIM / 10 Hits / 2 Blocked Shots Pros: Elite faceoff man Efficient two-way player Good on the Penalty Kill Doesn't take many penalties Cons: Could be more creative offensively Needs to play with other good players to create offense, not able to drive offense by himself Will need to get faster to make it at the VHL level Not very physical

Well thats embarassing.

Yeah we could definitely be better. I guess it'll be a good series after all.

Pressers 1. How excited are you to play our first playoff game? 2. Is there a specific player on the Bulls that we should target? 3. Who do you think will score our first playoff goal? 4. Bowman has shutout the Bulls 3 times during the season, can he do it again? 5. Do you have any pre game rituals that you'd like to share? 6. How many hits do you think Tanky will get in the opening round?

The Saskatoon Wild have done very well for themselves this season as they managed to win 50 games out of the 72 the VHLM season gives us. That's almost a 70% win record (69.4%). That was good enough to place the team at the top of the Western Conference come season's end and only behind the Mississauga Hounds in the league standings. It's pretty easy to say that there's a lot of people that slept on the Wild as nobody really considered them contenders at the beginning of the year. However well they may have done, one thing that worries me is that they stumbled to finish off the season, ending the season on a 3 game losing streak. In those 3 games the team's typical high flying offense has been drying up as they only managed 5 goals on the opposing teams (Miami, Halifax and Ottawa). Hopefully the team can turn it around come playoff time and show more of that finishing ability that got the team 273 total goals on the year, which was good for 2nd in the league. The Wild are probably pretty fortunate to be able start the first round against a Bulls team that managed to finish off their season on a even worse 8 game losing streak. They may have had the tougher schedule to finish the year since every team they lost to were playoff teams but still how are they supposed to survive the playoffs if they can't beat playoff teams? The Wild have a chance to rejuvenate their offense as the Bulls just can't seem to be able to keep pucks out of their own net as they were blown up for 40 goals during their last 8 games, an average of 5 goals a game, ouch. Bulls Last 8 games Game 431 7 - 3 Loss to San Diego Game 420 7 - 3 Loss to Miami Game 416 4 - 3 Loss to Miami Game 412 5 - 2 Loss to Saskatoon Game 406 4 - 1 Loss to Miami Game 396 4 - 2 Loss to Mississauga Game 389 4 - 1 Loss to Miami Game 385 5 - 2 Loss to Missisauga The Wild are the heavy favourites in this series as they've just been better than the Bulls in almost every way. The Wild seemed to have lucked out with drawing the the only team to make the VHLM playoffs with a negative goal differential (-23). The Bulls also finished the year 27 points behind the Wild in the standings. The teams don't even compare to each other when it comes to special teams either, the Bulls haven't been able to produce on the powerplay all year and it's no wonder they've had such a hard time scoring goals. To only make things tougher on the Bulls, the Wild has had the leagues best penalty killing squad so I'm sure it's not going to get any easier to get the Bulls' powerplay going in the playoffs. Bulls Wild Place in Standings 8th / 76Pts 2nd / 103Pts Total Goals T9th / 208 Goals 2nd / 273 Goals Total Goals Against 6th / 231 GA 3rd / 183 GA Goal Differential 8th/ -23 2nd/ +90 Powerplay 10th / 17.16% 4th / 22.09% Penalty Kill 8th / 80.2% 1st / 88.92% The Bulls also doesn't seem like the type of team that can really play your typical playoff hockey grind. The Bulls were last in the league in total hits (1267) and don't seem to play with any physicality at all. That will be a problem, since the Wild have Tanky. Tanky has lead the VHLM in hits all season long and finished the year with 329 hits and has posted over 700 hits during his 2 seasons, that's almost 5 hits a game! I think Tanky will end up being a critical player in this series as the Bulls have nothing to stop him. I'm sure Tanky is eager to be able to bully and bruise the Bulls and make them his bitch throughout the series without getting much of an answer. Can the Bulls stop Tanky? Season 77 329 Hits / 253 PIM Season 76 377 Hits / 271 PIM ____________________________ 706 Career VHLM Hits / 524 Career PIM Now how did the two teams fare in the regular season matchups against each other? Well it doesn't look good for the Bulls going in as the Wild mostly owned the Bulls winning 6 out of 8 games against the Bulls during the season. The Wild's Andrew Bowman shut out the Bulls 3 times and the Bulls got blown out twice (7-1 and 7-0) by the Wild in their 8 games. The Wild ended up outscoring them 29 to 12 and it's pretty clear overall that the Bulls did not fare too well against the Wild during the regular season. Regular Season Matchups Game 1 Wild 2-0 Win Game 26 Bulls 3-1 Win Game 93 Wild 2-0 Win Game 98 Wild 5-2 Win Game 193 Bulls 3-2 Win Game 127 Wild 7-1 Win Game 254 Wild 7-0 Win Game 412 Wild 5-3 Win Team Leaders Both respective teams' top scorers have very comparable stats, Willy Myers has the edge over Montana as he scored a couple more points while having played 3 less games. Montana's plus/minus may be much better than Myer's but Montana arguably had a better supporting cast around him to help. The Wild have 5 other point per game players on their roster, the Bulls only have Bradley Senjo other than Myers. Willy Myers Games Played: 69 Games Goals 59 Assists: 45 Points: 113 Plus/Minus: +21 Duncan Montana Games Played: 72 Games Goals 52 Assists: 59 Points: 111 Plus/Minus: +39 Both respective teams' top scorers have very comparable stats, Willy Myers has the edge over Montana as he scored a couple more points while having played 3 less games. Montana's plus/minus may be much better than Myer's but Montana arguably had a better supporting cast around him to help. The Wild have 5 other point per game players on their roster, the Bulls only have Bradley Senjo other than Myers. Goaltending As I mentioned before, Bowman has had three shutouts against the Bulls in 8 games. Bowman finished the year in the top five in the league in all 4 main goaltending statistics, wins, save percentage, GAA and Shutouts and has been very solid for the Wild throughout the season. While Bowman has the edge over his competition stat wise, Aike Van Giersbergen has been a solid goaltender as well for the defensively weak Bulls. Oddly enough half of Bowman's league leading 6 shutouts were at the hands of the Bulls so I think Bowman will prove to be a challenge for the Bulls to score on. Andrew Bowman Wins: 49 Save %: .900% GAA: 2.49 Shutouts: 6 Aike Van Giersbergen Wins: 36 Save %: .891% GAA: 3.01 Shutouts: 3 In conclusion I think the Wild will destroy the Bulls this week and I hope I ain't jinxing us here by saying that because this article can definitely backfire and be used as ammunition against me. 1171 Words EDIT: Well shit I obviously got my playoff format wrong here, The Bulls open up the playoffs against Missisauga and the Wild open up against the Las Vegas Aces. So I totally fucked up here with this article so pretend I didn't just put in all this research for a series that might not even ever happen. @BrutalBoost @124715 @TXC

Good luck on your hit list. Your media spot had very creative subject material and stirred the pot enough to get some people talking already. Your creating rivalries with this media spot and that makes the vhl a funner experience. You added quotations from not only yourself but from other members as well getting even more players involved and supported your subject with photos. This was a fun read, keep it up. 10/10

Really enjoyed reading this article it was funny and entertaining to go through Jerry's mediocre journey. As a person who can appreciate stats I like the fun stats you've included of not only garcia but of other players to compare. Was neat that you color coded everything too make it easier to read and distinguish between teams you were on. 10/10 Also fuck you Garcia for fucking over a few of my VHFL teams. I kept picking him to breakout to only get burned.

Well it's theme week again and this season our theme is Alternate Realities. Well I couldn't really think of any alternate reality other than back in Season 74 where I was torn between resigning with my longtime team the Prague Phantoms for 2 years or sign on with the Helsinki Titans for the one year to give my player at the time, Seabass Perrin his first real shot at competing for the Cup. Of course as we know Seabass ended up signing on with the Titans where they reached the finals only to fall short to the Vancouver Wolves in the S74 Continental Cup Final. Afterwards I chose to close out my career with the Phantoms by making a return to Prague in S75. I always wondered however, what if I hadn't signed on with the Titans? What if I had played that season in Prague? Roster Changes Well if I had signed in Prague, they probably wouldn't of brought back Jacob Perry in order to fill out the top 4 on the backend. Kudos to Perry though he came back from inactivity that year and had a good season scoring 38 pts and going +11 for the Phantoms. The Phantoms probably would've also had to move someone out to fit Seabass' Cap hit. Who knows, it could of made the Phantoms trade away Dagmar Havlova a season sooner than it actually had happened. No offense to Perry but I feel like the team's blueline would've been in better shape with me instead as I was a career 50-60 point getter and I would've given the team a more veteran presence to better transition rookie Riley Knight Gee to playing in the VHL. However, the team would've had to take a hit in the forward department to make it all happen which I feel wouldn't of made that year's team that much better in the end. I think they were actually better off just letting me go. Helsinki on the other hand could've tried to go attract some other defender from Free Agency as there were other big names such as Lance Flowers, Jeff Downey, Cinnamon Block and Andrej Petrovic available for hire that offseason. However, in my mind odds are they would've just tried to resign Daldo instead of letting him walk after Season 73. Daldo in reality ended up signing up with the Toronto Legion. Helsinki/Prague Wildcard Round could've went differently. Hell, maybe Helsinki wouldn't even of made the playoffs. The team just barely made the playoffs on the last day of the season back in S74. ending the season with 81 points. The Titans and the Phantoms (80pts) just barely beat out HC Dynamo (80pts) for a wildcard spot in order to officially enter the playoff rounds. The Titans then ended up having to dispose of the Phantoms in that Wildcard round in a 2 game sweep. Maybe if the Phantoms had the power of Seabass on their side that year they could've perhaps had a better chance at overcoming the Titans. After all, Seabass was playing the best hockey of his career as the playoffs of Season 74 is the only time I ever got Seabass playing at a PPG pace. My Finals run that year could've never happened Helsinki not only could they have lost to the Phantoms in that opening wildcard round but even if they had survived that round they perhaps wouldn't even made it much further past that round. Seabass played an important role in the finals run as he lead all Titans Defenseman in scoring in the playoffs with 19 points in 18 games. Without Seabass coming up with solid showing in the playoffs they could've possibly struggled like they did during the regular season. If by any chance I would've helped the Phantoms beat out the Titans in the wildcard round I don't think the Phantoms had as good of a roster to be able to survive past teams like the Moscow Menace and the Malmo Nighthawks in the next two rounds to be able to make the finals that year. Conclusion I think I made the right call as I wouldn't of had as good of a chance to experience a finals run in Prague. Also, that finals run with the Titans was just magical and I had a lot of fun playing with all those guys for the year I was there for and I don't regret a thing. To this day it remains the closest I've ever been to really winning a Continental Cup. Of course I won the Cup in Season 11 with my first player but I don't really count that one at all since I wasn't active at all for that one. So here I am with what is now my third player, still chasing my first real Continental Cup.

The Saskatoon Wild will be having a pretty exciting start to their week by going on a 3 game road trip. They are scheduled to play some top teams in the Eastern Conference, the Minnesota Storm and the league leading Mississauga Hounds. The Wild are currently on a 5 game winning streak that started over the weekend but that pales in comparison to the current 17 game winning streak the Mississauga Hounds are on. Hell, the Hounds have only lost 3 games this whole season and look pretty unstoppable out there. However the Wild might just be the only team that may give the Hounds a run for their money as they are 2nd in the league in most columns like goals (188), goals against (114) and goal differential (74). It's just a shame these two teams haven't faced off since the beginning of the season which saw the Hounds take a 4-2 victory over the Wild. I'm sure the Wild would love nothing but knock the Hounds off their high horse as the Hounds threaten to break the Wild's league record season back from S69 where they posted a 68 wins and 4 losses. All the Wild would need to keep their record is just one single win versus the Hounds this season, talk about motivation.

Alright we're here with The Seabasstard in the Wild's locker room after a 7-0 trouncing of conference rivals the Houston Bulls. Among those seven goals was The Seabasstard's 2nd hat trick of the week. Seabasstard, how have you been making it all happen out there? " Honestly I would have never expected to be able to post a hat trick one day let alone two in a week. I don't know maybe it's luck or maybe I'm just that good. I've noticed that most of my goals have been either coming off the faceoff or have just been deflected in. I'm just trying to do all the small things well and the goals have just been coming along with that. " With your victory over the Bulls your team now has a pretty solid hold on the Western Conference lead being 11 points up on the Bulls. How do you not get too complacent being in such a comfortable spot? "You just got to approach every game the same way and give it your all every night. If you take your foot off the gas you can be in for a surprising fall from grace. We just have to remain focused on the task at hand and not get too cocky and treat every opponent the same. " Thank you for your time Seabasstard "You're welcome now get the fuck out of here"

The Seabasstard was late for practice today and was reprimanded by his coaches but hasn't yet been asked to sit a game due to being tardy. Rumour has it that The Seabasstard rolled into practice 10 minutes late with his game suit filled with mud after going to buy himself a new/used pickup truck that he found on facebook marketplace. "Yeah i'll confirm Seabasstard was late for our practice being facing the Halifax 21st. It's been swiftly dealt with as our coaching staff has had a sit down with the player to discuss priorities. Hockey will be this young man's career and he'll have to start prioritizing hockey over some things. The truck wasn't even a nice one at that and wasn't even worth risking being late to practice for as it was a shitbox, covered in rust and had dents all over. We were disappointed with The Seabasstard's thought process on this one but we won't make a mountain out of a moehill here and move on." -The Wild's Head Coach "Yeah... I was at a bus stop waiting for my bus to the team practice when I got distracted by a truck that was for sale for 800$, I had to go check it out. I ended up missing my bus to buy the thing but I decided to drive my new 2003 GMC Sierra over to practice instead. Now I had a few hiccups like the truck not starting initially that made me late but when I got 'er going I still made it to practice, just a few minutes late. It was worth it, the truck runs good but just a little tender lovin' care from yours truly. I least I'll no longer need to take the bus." - Wild Centerman, The Seabasstard

This was a very in depth story of Bouchard getting lost in Japan. Might I suggest hiring a guide in any future travelling plans cus he might not come back next time haha. I feel like I also got the opportunity to learn a little bit more about Japan and other cultures by reading this point tasks. I never heard of capsule hotels but I am curious on how much their charging people to stay in those cubes. I wish the article would've had more connections to hockey life but the media spot still contained a lot of interesting info to keep me interested throughout. This obviously took a lot of work and looks good with the added images. 9/10
