  4. Okay I'm going to bed so Roque Davis @gorlab
  5. Default background is white only way i can read it is if I highlight the text
  6. 1. First, thanks for the white lettering you dick. Well I got drafted so that's an accomplishment by itself. Feel like my skating has gotten better so im pretty proud of that too. 2. The real answer is me duh but I think Hard Markinson will have the biggest impact, especially considering the hole left behind after the team traded away Schauer. He might even get the opportunity to play on the top pairing which is gonna be huge for him if he takes the opportunity and runs with it. 3. Montreal, but realistically I think Vegas will win it this year. 4. I just got here so not yet, I only just now found a place to stay. 5. I'd rather not talk about it. I participated in it and I fucking stunk. I never played on the wing before and well turns out i'm shit at it. 6. Realistically I think we're going to suffer through some growing pains this season as were very young and we're still all mostly growing as players. But with hard work and some luck I think we can surprise some teams.
  7. Don't worry @chiknI got you man. Fuck what they say we be doing our own thing here in Group 2.
  8. Well it's the morning before the draft. Excitement is in the air as fans wait for the S78 VHL Draft to begin later on today at 8PM. Also for some of the players available in the draft won't even be able to attend in person as they're out playing the this year's World Juniors Tournament. Today we're at the juniors and we're here with The Seabasstard to have a little chat about this year's draft. Hello Seabasstard, how are you doing today? Not too bad, it's sunny here this morning the sun is shining so I'll take it as a good sign for the things to come later tonight. Speaking about the draft how do you feel are you nervous? I got the butterflies a little bit there. There's gonna be so much media members there that will want to talk to me by phone during and after the draft and I'm a little nervous to do this all over the phone as I'm more of a face to face interaction kind of guy. Where do you think you'll end going in the draft? Well it's difficult to say really, I don't really like calling out what team I think I'll be playing on and jinx it. I do think there's a fairly good chance that I might make the top 3 for the draft year and I would be pumped about that if it happened. I would be even more ecstatic if I would get selected 1st. Team Canada has lost it's opening 3 games, what are your thoughts about that? Well it's been frustrating I won't lie. I don't like losing but I also haven't gotten to play much at my natural position so I'm out of my comfort zone as I've always been a centerman. It also just eliminates the one thing that I'm really good at from my game which is faceoffs as I'm not taking any for Team Canada. I'm still having fun here though but it would just be a lot more fun if we would just win a few games. That's all the time we have Seabasstard thanks you for taking the time to speak with me. No problem, see ya
  9. Ah yes I remember rocking this sig for quite a while actually even though it had my name spelt wrong haha. Probably around the time when I played in the M for the Toledo Scorpions (im old apparently). That's taking me way back, Thanks for sharing @McKelvie (quoted the wrong post)
  10. Presser Stuff We have 5 players representing the Wild at this year's WJC, how excited are you for this years WJC? Did you end up signing up for this year's Victory Pro Am Tournament and if so how do you feel about your team? Which do you prefer? Cake or Ice Cream? How excited are you for the S78 VHL Draft? Where do you see the Wild going next year?
  11. The Rosters for the S77 World Juniors Rosters were announced yesterday and the Saskatoon Wild will be well represented as they will have 5 players participating in this year's World Juniors Tournament. 2 of the 5 players representing them playing in the WJC made Team Canada as forwards, TheCheese and The Seabasstard have both been selected for their roster. Both players were line mates throughout the year playing for the Wild. They had some success playing together in the past as they've combined for 155 points over the last regular season and they might get the chance to play together once again as Team Canada might reunite them on line together once again. " I'm very honored to selected to Team Canada and get the chance to sport the maple leaf and represent my country. I'll do my best to try and bring the goal medal back to where it truly belongs and bring her home. I'm very excited to play in my first international tournament and I'm eager to get this started." The other 3 out of the 5 players representing the Wild will play for team Asia in the WJC as forward Duncan Montana, goaltender Andrew Bowman and defenseman Nixon Caldwell was selected to their roster. Things will definitely be interesting when both those teams have the chance to end up playing one an other.
  12. The Wild were well out of reach of the playoffs in S76 when The Seabasstard first arrived to the VHLM after the trade deadline. They played well enough to finish the year but still managed to miss the playoffs at the end of the year by 9 points. This year the team showed a lot more promise as they put up a whopping 50 wins, which was good enough to earn them the honors of being on top of the Western Conference at season's end. The team's special teams were strong and every line appeared to have chemistry playing together since the start of the season. They had two players reach the coveted 100 point mark on the season as Duncan Montana and Griff MacKenzie lead the Wild's offense with 111 and 106 points respectively. The Wild also had a total of 6 players point per game players, which was more than any other team in the VHLM. Things were looking real good for the playoffs as everyone seemed to be clicking and despite their 3 game losing streak to finish off their season with, the Wild were heavily favored to beat the Las Vegas Aces come the first round of the VHLM playoffs. Sadly that's not how the series turned out as the Vegas were able to upset the Wild in 5 games. It didn't even seem like they were the same team out there as they got consistently outshot by the Aces throughout that series. What did them in however was the fact that their PP and PK that was so strong throughout the regular season didn't replicate their success in the playoffs against the Aces. WILD SPECIAL TEAMS Reg. Season S77 / Powerplay: 22.09% Success Rate / Penalty Kill: 88.92% Success Rate S77 Playoffs / Powerplay: 8.7% Success Rate / Penalty Kill: 69.77% Success Rate Sadly, this is how The Seabasstard will wrap up his VHLM career as he's no longer eligible for the VHLM after hitting the 250 TPE cutoff mark. So for right now I'm officially homeless as I eagerly await the S78 VHL Draft to find out what city I'll call home next. " I'd like to take a moment to say goodbye to the Wild Organization that has treated me very well since I've entered the league. I was ecstatic the day I found out that I was drafted here to Saskatoon after spending the tail end of S76 here as a end of season signee. I've learned so much during my time here and I'll always remember the impact the Wild has had on my future VHL career. So I'd like to thank @Doomsday and @a_Ferk for keeping me around these past few seasons and for taking me early in the draft despite the odds of me possibly only being here for a season. I also want to thank all of my teammates but specifically my former line mates, @TheCHEESEand Craig Martin @Craig we had some good chemistry playing together and I hope to able to recreate something like that in the big league. It was also an honor to be able to get a chance to play with an old school VHL member like Nixon Caldwell @KendrickI'd also like to thank all my coaches, other Wild personnel and of course the owners of the team for supporting us during this amazing regular season. Good luck to everyone in your future VHL careers, hopefully some of us can cross paths again someday" -The Seabasstard The Seabasstard had a solid showing with the Wild going over a PPG over his career in the M. When he first joined the team in S76, The Seabasstard showed promise right away as he collected 10 points in 12 games played, but he seemed to lack the confidence and looked hesitant to make higher risk plays on the ice. When the Wild were officially eliminated from playoff contention, The Seabasstard was given a chance to play on the team's top line to finish off the year and displayed the potential to be a good two way centerman in the league. The Seabasstard's S76 Reg. Season / 12 Games / 2 Goals / 8 Assists / 10 Pts / +2 The Seabasstard worked hard at the gym and hired a power skating coach during the offseason and showed up to training camp bigger and faster. He added 15 pounds of muscle to his small frame and showed a big improvement on his skates as his skating stride was more refined and it seemed like he gained a few steps. While the Seabasstard had the TPE to do so, he wasn't the explosive offensive threat you'd expect with such a high TPE total. Instead he was more of a all around player that excelled at many things but wasn't really elite at anything but taking draws in the faceoff circle. The Seabasstard was actually the best in the league on the draws since his arrival to the M. He led the league with a success rate on the draw of 64.25% which was really helpful to the Wild's penalty kill which ended the year with the best success rate in the league as well. He ate up a lot of ice time playing against other team's top lines and did a reasonable job shutting them down but was still able to produce at a point per game rate. After posting 2 goals in S76, Seabasstard blew other teams away with 34 goals and 81 points. The Seabasstard's S77 Reg. Season / 72 Games / 34 Goals / 47 Assists / 81 Points / +21 The Seabasstard had a solid showing during the only playoff series he's been in. He showed VHL scouts that he can show up when it matters most by posting 5 points over the five games and displayed that he can play playoff hockey with a little more edge as he threw 2 hits a game which was very unusual from the typically softer, small center man. He showed a lot of heart and continued to dominate the Aces on the draw improving to a success rate of 66.67%. It's just too bad it all ended up being a losing effort as the Wild got eliminated by the Las Vegas Aces 4 games to one. The Seabasstard's S77 Playoffs / 5 Games / 3 Goals / 2 Assists / 5 Points / +5 " I'm really looking forward to seeing where I'll end up going in the VHL Draft. I think I played well enough during my Wild stint to not only be noticed by VHL scouts but actively interviewed. I've already been interviewed by a few teams already in preparation for the draft and I'm hoping to not only be selected in the top 5 of this draft but top 3 even. I'll try not to let that go to my head too much though, ha ha. In the end it's an honor to even be selected at the VHL draft and I would be happy to play for anyone that has enough faith in me to select me. " -The Seabasstard OVER 1000+ words good to two weeks worth of PT
  13. Losing in the finals must be getting old for you guys @Jubo07 @Jbeezy76
  14. It's an honor to be selected to the team this year! Thank you!
  15. It was the Intriguing title that brought me here to read, whatever this was. Probably should've listened and not have read this. I didn't really know where you were going with this at first but it turned out to be more of a tooting of your own horn and listing off your non player related accomplishments. This was clearly the bare mininum to be able to get a point task going. There was no use of quotes or imagery. This media spot just plain stunk 1/10
  16. Nice work. This obviously takes a lot of research and work to get this done every year and I enjoy reading this segment every year. It shines light on stats that people don't necessarily notice. I've always liked how you've included previous winners and the all time record in your notes. Keep up the good work 10/10 Congratulations @BigTittySmitty on breaking my shot blocking record from S68 I was actually surprised 207 was a league record and I'm not at all surprised to see it broken this soon. I hope to see it broken again! Looking back it's the only career accomplishment I had with Seabass.
  17. The Seabasstard, we just seen your team get eliminated after dropping your first round playoff series 4-1 to the underdog Las Vegas Aces. What exactly went wrong out there? "Well if I had the answers for you right now I don't think we'd be having this conversation right now. We weren't able to figure out what was going wrong and that's why we lost the series. We were getting outshot almost every game that for sure didn't help but give kudos to the Aces they came out flying and never let the foot off the pedal. We underestimated that team coming into this series. We were maybe a little too confident coming into this series and we ended up getting our asses kicked." Well you have also reached the 250 TPE cutoff mark just recently so you officially won't be returning as a member of the Wild next season, do you have any parting words for the team? "Well thanks for inviting me into your organization with open arms starting back in S76 and thank you for drafting me in the first round of the dispersal draft this year. This team has been a class act and I was always treated very well here. I want to thank my coaches for having faith in me and giving me a good chunk of ice time, it helped me blossom this year and I feel like my time here in Saskatoon has really helped me improve to the point that I'll be playing in the VHL next year. I had fun with my teammates during my stay, and I had fun during that magical regular season and I'll always look back at my time as a Wild fondly. I'm just a little dissappointed that we choked in the first round as I feel like we all had the potential to do better." Thank you, good look at the S78 VHL Entry Draft
  18. More presser questions 1. How do you feel about your recent elimination from the VHLM playoffs? 2. What should you guys have done differently in order to get a different result? 3. Are you optimistic for next season? 4. Do you have any parting words for the players that are leaving? 5. The WJC GMs have been announced, are you looking forward to following this year's WJC? 6. Favorite card game, go!
  19. Well time to claim the other half of this embarassment
